Zach Bryan's new music is already absolutely shredding the charts.

The incredibly popular country music singer released "Young Manhood & Other Donatable Organs" on Oct. 16 after significant hype and speculation.

The eight-track EP is a true music roller coaster covering a variety of different topics and themes, including economic hardship and relationships.

As of publication, the EP is number one on Apple Music's top country music albums chart and number one on Apple Music's overall top albums.

The rankings on Billboard are very similar. "Young Manhood & Other Donatable Organs" holds the number one spot on Billboard's top country albums and is number two for all albums.

"But who we rooting for this week?" Cowboys cheerleader Abby Summers was asked on her Instagram ahead of last night's game. That would be because she's dating Eagles defensive back Cooper DeJean.

Abby didn't take the bait.

It turned into a very good and very bad night for Summers. On one hand, Abby's employer is officially in the NFC East playoff chase with four home games in November against the Cardinals, 49ers, Titans and the Eagles again on Thanksgiving. On the other hand, DeJean was lit up in front of a national audience that witnessed Coop look pedestrian against CeeDee Lamb.

Why does this matter? Coop is eligible for a contract extension after this season.

"According to NFL Next Gen Stats, Cooper DeJean has allowed 4 Rec TD on 40 targets this season after allowing 1 Rec TD on 125 targets in the 2024 and 2025 seasons combined," ESPN Insights reported Monday night.

Poor Abby. This might not end as magically as she'd hoped.

Playing tennis is now being used as an insult by politicians

They've officially run out of things to insult each other with in Ohio's governor's race. I'm not a Vivek guy, but this attack ad showing the guy playing tennis caught my attention last night. The idea is simple here: Tennis is bad; it's elitism.

The left praises minorities Serena and Venus Williams for playing tennis and being trailblazers, and yet here we are with tennis being bad for Vivek.

This election cycle can't end fast enough. One week. We all have seven days to survive before they unleash Christmas commercials on us.

Guys, do you have a wife who walks around all provocative while you're on work calls?

• Rick from Arizona emails: Our company recently decided that we need to be on camera for all meetings. A good policy, professional for sure. I'm in favor of that policy. But......a new thing given I've never had to do that in the past. My wife did not realize this.

So, there I was, on a meeting today, and she comes rolling past my work area to clean up all of the beer bottles and wine bottles my son and his buddies left behind during their football watching last weekend (bless her heart, she makes more $ than I do). I texted her a few minutes later and told her "in camera."

She said something to the effect of "probably was great given all of the bottles I was carrying." True that, good sarcasm, and in good fun. The key aspect of all of this is that she and I were the only ones home, and she has been known to walk around the house in such scenarios wearing not a lot. I texted her and told her that "at least you were wearing clothes." Her response was dynamite: "Always 50-50."

I sent the text exchange between my wife and I to my youngest and middle sons (22 and 27), and those dickheads did not even respond. That's cold, now a'int it? I texted them later and told them BS. One finally responded. D–kheads. At those ages, with a funny scenario like that, gotta at least give a nod? The reader community can decide.

Bayley, Lyra Valkyria in contention for WWE women's match of the year as brutal feud reached breaking point

Bayley and Lyra Valkyria put their names in contention for women’s match of the year in WWE on "Monday Night Raw" as their feud culminated in a no disqualification match.

The two stars’ rivalry goes back months. Bayley and Valkyria were tag team partners and failed to capture the women’s tag team titles from Brie Bella and Paige back in June. It led to an eruption from Valkyria, who turned on Bayley. Valkyria then made Bayley tap out in a match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Multiple back-and-forths over the course of several weeks led to the major match on Monday – and the two stars on the women’s roster delivered. To say they went all out and put everything on the line in a non-title match with the only stakes attached being who is the better wrestler, may be the understatement of the year.

Bayley immediately went for the foreign objects hidden underneath the ring. She dragged out chairs, kendo sticks, a broom and set up a table. Valkyria got back into the match fairly quickly and the brawl was on.

In the middle of the match, the table was propped on its side on top of the announce table. Valkyria hesitated for a split second and Bayley took advantage. Bayley ran full speed through the middle ropes and hit a suicide dive onto Valkyria, who caught Bayley. The momentum carried both of them through the table.

Bayley nailed her right shoulder on the bottom of the table but seemed to be OK as she smiled through whatever pain she may have been dealing with in the moment.

All was not lost for Valkyria. She made a valiant effort to dust herself off and try to find any sort of offense she could muster. She wedged Bayley in between two chairs in the ring and was going for a high-risk move on the top turnbuckle.

Valkyria attempted to moonsault onto Bayley but she missed her. Valkyria writhed in pain and grabbed her left forearm. Bayley wasn’t finished doling out punishment, either.

The Irish-born superstar tried to nail Bayley with a Hurricanrana from the apron onto the floor where Bayley was standing. However, Bayley caught her and slammed her down through a garbage can.

The crowd in Fresno, California, was stunned.

Valkyria stumbled back into the ring and grabbed a kendo stick, but couldn’t focus on her opponent. Bayley dragged Valkyria down and used the weapon to inflict more pain while she had Valkyria in a crossface submission maneuver.

Bayley made Valkyria tap out and the match was finished. Bayley picked up the win and possibly excised any demons haunting her moving forward.

Regardless of the outcome, Bayley and Valkyria thrust themselves into the conversation for women’s match of the year in WWE. There have been several great matches put on from the women’s roster over the course of the year, including the title match between Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch that anchored "Raw" later in the night, which ended in a DQ.

New Hampshire journalist says he was blocked from covering Kamala Harris political event

A New Hampshire journalist said he was denied entry to an event Saturday featuring former Vice President Kamala Harris.

"The reception that I've gotten at past Democrat events from activists, from staff has mostly been positive… which is what makes this situation so disappointing," New Hampshire Journal reporter Leonard Robinson told Fox News Digital in an interview Monday.

Robinson wrote on X Saturday, "@NHDems often make access hard for NHJournal. I've been physically blocked by their operatives, they've hidden locations of their events from NHJournal. Nothing compares to Harris's visit."

Harris was on the campaign stump in the Granite State for Democratic New Hampshire Senate candidate Chris Pappas.

DEM HANDLERS LASH OUT WHEN CAMERAMAN CONFRONTS THEIR BOSS ABOUT DEBATE: ‘NO PICTURES’

Robinson said he RSVP'd to an event hosted by Reproductive Freedom for All (RFA) by filling out a form sent to him by the Pappas campaign after being shut out of another Harris event hosted by the campaign itself due to spatial constraints, according to an email obtained by Fox News Digital.

When he arrived to check in, Robinson said a representative of RFA told him he wasn't on the registration list and said the event was at full capacity. Robinson said another journalist who was not on the list was later allowed inside. He also said he saw a Pappas campaign staffer gesture "no" to the RFA representative from a distance.

Robinson told Fox News Digital he had attended other Pappas campaign events featuring prominent Democrats, including California Gov. Gavin Newsom, U.S. Rep. Ro Khanna of California and U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock of Georgia.

"Why are [New Hampshire Democrats] afraid for her to talk to me? I think that's the real question that's gotta be answered here," Robinson said.

KAMALA HARRIS FACES DEMOCRATIC DOUBTS OVER 2028 AS ALLIES PUSH BACK ON CLAIMS SHE’S SQUANDERED HER CHANCE

Robinson, whose outlet New Hampshire Journal is the state's only right-of-center publication, has had cordial in-person interactions with Pappas staff in the past but expressed frustration at the lack of cooperation from New Hampshire Democrats broadly in sharing its event calendar and being more welcoming to the outlet.

New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair Raymond Buckley criticized New Hampshire Journal, calling the outlet "a partisan right wing site created to smear Democrats" and saying it "has rarely, if ever, received credentials to any Democratic or progressive event" in response to Robinson's X thread.

NH Journal managing editor Michael Graham stood by Robinson, telling Fox News Digital, "This is a rare occasion for them to literally force Leonard out of, or one of us out of the event. And given Vice President Kamala Harris and her potential hopes to make history, it was really unfortunate that they would keep [out] a reporter from an award-winning member of the New Hampshire Press Association."

It is unclear whether a miscommunication error among the Democratic organizers was behind the incident. Neither representatives for Harris nor the New Hampshire Democratic Party responded to Fox News Digital's requests for comment. A spokesperson for the Pappas campaign declined to comment.

Harris has taken part in several campaigns for Democratic candidates ahead of the midterm elections. Her appearances also come as she weighs a potential 2028 presidential bid.

Mysterious Roman fort discovered in remote area could prove ancient legend has roots in reality

An ancient Roman fort discovered in a remote part of Wales could help unravel a centuries-old legend about a Roman emperor — and may have accommodated as many as 1,000 soldiers, the archaeologist behind the discovery told Fox News Digital.

The fort, located near Frenni Fawr in Pembrokeshire, was the subject of an October announcement by Wolfson College, Oxford, following recent excavations at the site.

Mark Merrony, a fellow at Wolfson College, Oxford, and editor-in-chief of Antiqvvs, an archaeology magazine, first identified the fort using satellite imagery in 2024.

More recent excavations uncovered two Roman coins from the late fourth century, suggesting activity at the site may have continued into the period when Emperor Magnus Maximus ruled Britain from 383 to 388 A.D.

Merrony, who described the fort's location as being in the "middle of nowhere," told Fox News Digital the site could have accommodated significantly more soldiers than he initially estimated.

"I've been saying 500 troops, but actually it's bigger than the housesteads on Hadrian's Wall, which held 1,000 troops," he said.

"So it could have held up to 1,000 auxiliary Roman soldiers."

Excavations also uncovered numerous Roman artifacts, including ceramic roofing tiles and what Merrony believes could be floor tiles or materials used for underfloor heating.

Despite the attention surrounding the fourth-century coins, Merrony believes the fort itself is more significant.

"I think the presence of the site is more important than the coins because it was almost certainly founded in the 1st century," he said.

The possible connection to Maximus stems from the "Mabinogion," a medieval collection of Welsh tales and legends that also features King Arthur.

HIDDEN UNDERGROUND CHAMBER REVEALED BENEATH HOME OF LEGENDARY ROMAN EMPEROR

One story recounts the Roman emperor establishing a military camp near Frenni Fawr.

Merrony told Fox News Digital he identified the fort while tracing the Roman road network, rather than deliberately searching for evidence of the legend.

After discovering the fort roughly two miles from the hill's summit, he found no other known Roman sites nearby — leading him to suspect the fort could be the one described in the "Mabinogion."

"And I put two and two together, and I thought the question is not whether this is the site. The question is, is the ‘Mabinogion’ correct? And I suspect it is," Merrony said.

He cited the story's "very strong historical underpinning," suggesting that Roman soldiers may have traveled through the area during the late Roman period, possibly under Magnus Maximus himself.

Though the discovery does not establish that the emperor visited the fort, Merrony believes the legend may preserve the memory of an actual historical event.

He said he wasn't surprised that the medieval tale might contain elements of historical truth.

"I think it's often the case with mythology that it's based on something," Merrony told Fox News Digital, adding that it likely spread through oral tradition before being written down.

Merrony also theorized that Maximus may have visited the region in response to incursions by Irish groups during the fourth century, before departing Britain for continental Europe.

Merrony, whose upcoming book, "Lives of the Roman Emperors: From Augustus to Romulus Augustulus," explores the history of Rome's emperors, also pointed to a possible Roman road running alongside the fort.

He believes the road could be part of a previously unidentified major route through Wales, although further archaeological investigation is needed.

Merrony also said an aqueduct feeding the fort remains to be investigated, with additional excavations planned for 2027.

Looking ahead, Merrony said his team plans to widen two excavation trenches over two buildings at the site. In one trench, researchers spotted what appeared to be a collapsed building.

It seems like there are two electorates in these midterms.

The first is frustrated with President Donald Trump and ready to reject Republicans. It includes growing numbers of independent, rural and Hispanic voters who say they’ll vote for a Democrat.

That’s what the latest round of House polling shows, including a survey last week that had Democrats up 11 points on the generic ballot, and Fox’s most recent national poll.

SCHOEN, COOPERMAN: DEMOCRATS COULD BE RIDING A MIDTERM WAVE. THESE NUMBERS SHOULD TERRIFY THE GOP

The second electorate is wavering on Republicans but won’t necessarily hand Democrats the Senate. These are the voters in the Midwest and a few other places. They say they prefer the Democrat or Republican in their states by a point or two at most.

That’s the right conclusion from most of the battleground Senate polling.

How could both things be true? In other words, if Democrats have such a wide lead in the House, won’t the Senate fall too?

Both are true, and a big lead in the House doesn’t necessarily translate to the Senate. These voters are all in the same electorate, and they only seem divorced from each other because the House and Senate maps are so far apart this year.

DEMOCRATS THINK A BLUE WAVE IS BUILDING. HERE ARE 3 FORCES THAT COULD STOP IT

The president’s declining approval rating and Democratic advantages on the issues will likely deliver them the House and possibly by many seats.

Those advantages have also allowed the blue team to play in a lot of Senate races that Republicans thought were unreachable, but only to the point of making them battlegrounds.

The road to a Senate majority goes through several states that Trump won by 11 points or more. Democrats can win any of these races. If Republicans turn out and stay loyal to their party, the climb for the left will be steep.

That’s why the Senate is a toss-up. Voters could give Democrats a majority and maybe with several seats to spare. They could also let the Republicans keep control.

We’ll find out in seven days.

Democrats have strong advantages on most key issues

In his 11-year political career, President Trump has triumphed over almost all the threats to his power. The exception was the coronavirus pandemic, which was the top issue for voters in the 2020 election and ushered in the Biden presidency.

It was also one of the few threats that Trump has faced from abroad.

This time, Trump and the Republicans face a new foreign opponent: Iran. The administration’s decision to start joint U.S.-Israeli military strikes against the nation in February has cast a shadow over the GOP.

VOTERS PREPARE TO WEIGH-IN ON TRUMP'S ECONOMY AS COSTS CONTINUE TO SURGE

First, it has impacted Trump’s approval rating, which will decide the fate of many congressional Republicans and has fallen since the war began. It was 44% in the last pre-war survey and sits at 36% now.

The war has also given Democrats advantages on the top issues. In Fox’s October survey, Iran played a role in four issues that more than two-thirds of voters said they were concerned about: inflation (85%), gas prices (83%), government leadership (79%) and the war in Iran itself (75%).

Most voters said they preferred the Democrats to handle those issues: 16 points on inflation, 12 points on gas prices, 11 points on leadership and 9 points on foreign policy.

Republicans are competitive on home turf

Still, voters are not convinced that the Senate should change hands.

That comes down to the territory. Trump won seven of these 10 battleground states in 2024 and six of them by double digits. That includes Alaska, Iowa, Kansas, Ohio, South Carolina and Texas.

Democrats don’t need to win all of those states to take the Senate, but it’s hard to see how they get to 51 seats without at least two of them.

While former Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown leads in Ohio, the other states are close. Turnout, a polling error in either direction or both could decide them.

There are also a lot of undecided votes. In Alaska, Iowa and Kansas, three states with recent high-quality polling, an average of 10% of voters say they haven’t decided who they will support or won’t support the major candidates.

Any guess on how those voters will break at the ballot box is only a guess. All we know from prior results is that the overall electorate leans conservative, so the Democrats have the tougher assignment to bring them over to their side (or keep them at home).

There are far fewer undecided voters in Texas, where last week’s Fox News Poll showed a tied race at 49%-49%.

If Democrats only win two Trump-won battlegrounds, they’ll need to win three other races where former Vice President Harris delivered single-digit victories in 2024: Maine, Minnesota and New Hampshire.

Democrats are ahead in the latter two. Maine could go either way. While Democrats win its presidential races, it could just as easily be considered a Republican state when Susan Collins is on the ballot.

The final Fox News Power Rankings for 2026 feature three shifts in the Senate and 19 in the House. A tight gubernatorial race is also on the move.

Senate: Democrats are favored in 48 seats as Ohio moves to Lean D

Both parties are three seats short of a majority in this forecast. Democrats are favored in 48 seats and Republicans are ahead in 47 (they would control the Senate with 50 seats because the vice president breaks ties).

On a good night for Democrats, the party would win most or all the toss-ups, taking their majority up to 53 seats. In that scenario, other competitive states would also come into focus, including two rated Lean R, and on a great Democratic night, two more rated Likely R.

A good night for the Republicans would see them simply hold on to most of the states they already have, up to a ceiling of 52 seats. The party also has opportunities to flip a couple of states, including Minnesota and New Hampshire.

Three states are moving in this forecast.

Ohio

In Ohio, Brown has enjoyed a lead in three Fox News polls this year, including last week’s survey, which had him five points ahead of Republican incumbent Sen. Jon Husted at 52%-47%.

Ohio voters are very familiar with Brown, having sent him to the Senate three times. That has made it hard for Husted to campaign on socialism and woke politics, themes that Republicans elsewhere see as their strongest cards to play.

South Carolina

South Carolina’s Senate race is effectively open this year. Senator Darline Graham won her primary, but it was close: 52%-48%, and only after Trump rallied with her.

Graham has never faced a general electorate before, and she is about to do that in a poor issues environment both for her and the GOP.

Republicans view this as an uncomfortably close race.

South Carolina moves from Likely R to Lean R.

Mississippi

Mississippi is a Republican stronghold, but Trump’s decision to rally there over other deep red states is a sign that the party thinks it’s competitive.

GOP Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith faces Democratic District Attorney Scott Colom in a race where protein choice has become a breakout issue.

Mississippi moves from Solid R to Likely R.

House: The floor for Democrats ticks up four seats to 223

Democrats are still likely to flip the House this November, and in this forecast, they’re predicted to take at least 223 seats.

Since a good night for the Democrats would see them take most of the toss-up races, they could end up with as many as 240 seats.

(On a great Democratic night, the party would pick up most of the Lean R districts as well, taking them as high as 252 seats.)

Republicans have 195 seats in their columns. A good night for them would take that total up to around 212. That’s six short of a majority, but enough to make life difficult for the next Democratic House Speaker, who would have to balance the demands of the moderate and far-left wings of the party.

Nineteen more races have shifted in the Democrats’ direction this week, all on the same themes outlined in the last House update: national and district polling, top-of-the-ticket strength and rural voter erosion.

The earliest-closing districts on election night will give some sense of the House’s future. Keep an eye on Kentucky’s 6th district, which covers Lexington and a large central area of the state. Trump won here by 15 points in the last presidential election. Thanks to a combination of left-leaning college voters and farmers grappling with higher costs, it looks close this cycle. The district moves from Lean R to Toss-up.

Governor: Ad or no ad, the Ohio governor’s race moves to Lean D

Finally, Ohio’s gubernatorial race is also on the move. The campaign between Democrat Amy Acton and Republican Vivek Ramaswamy was the top story in politics last week after Ramaswamy ran an ad featuring Acton’s mother, who called her daughter a liar.

Acton has been estranged from her mother since age 12, when she says she and her brother left her family home because her mother’s husband was sexually abusing her. Acton’s brother now appears in a response ad discussing their family history.

This ratings change is less about the response to the ad (Ramaswamy and President Trump are supportive of the commercial; most others including Husted and Governor Mike DeWine are against it) than it is about the fact that the Ramaswamy campaign felt the need to run it.

While Ramaswamy sat only two points behind Acton in last week’s Fox poll, he’s an average of seven points behind in other high-quality polls since September.

The businessman and onetime presidential hopeful has struggled in favorability ratings throughout his political career. This ad is unlikely to help.

Tennessee inmate convicted of murder escapes from prison, steals pickup truck, manhunt underway: Officials

A manhunt is underway for a Tennessee inmate serving a life sentence for murder after he escaped from prison and stole a white heavy-duty pickup truck during his getaway.

The Tennessee Department of Correction said that Jacob Allen Morley, 28, escaped the Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville, Tennessee, on Sunday. He was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted in 2025 of murdering Cody Birchfield three years earlier.

Prison staff discovered Morley was unaccounted for around 11:30 p.m. Sunday and immediately conducted an emergency count and search of the facility, according to a Tennessee Department of Correction statement given to Fox News Digital.

Security video showed Morley breaching a fence while still wearing prison clothing.

Around 1 a.m. Monday, video footage captured Morley stealing a vehicle on the 400 block of Keystone Drive, roughly two miles south of the prison, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

The vehicle is a white 2008 Ford F-350 with Tennessee license plate 138BBQV. It is marked with the name Lindamood Planting Company on the side and has an air compressor in the bed, officials said.

Morley is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing 240 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said he should be "considered dangerous," adding Morley is now on the state's most wanted list.

In addition to the first-degree murder conviction, he was also found guilty of burglary, vandalism, tampering with evidence and evading arrest.

Birchfield disappeared in early February 2022 after he was last seen in Elizabethton, Tennessee. According to WJHL, investigators from the Carter County Sheriff's Office saw indications that a "violent crime" had occurred inside his house.

A ceasefire that first lady Melania Trump helped negotiate in a front-line Ukrainian city that she described as being on the "brink of disaster" went into effect Tuesday.

The pause in fighting in Oleshky started around 3 a.m. local time as "part of a humanitarian mission being carried out with the mediation and coordination of U.S. first lady Melania Trump, in cooperation with Yana Lantratova, Russia’s commissioner for human rights," according to Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament commissioner for human rights.

"The situation in Oleshky is dire. Oleshky is a front-line war city on the brink of disaster," Trump said in a statement last week. "Oleshky’s remaining population is comprised primarily of elderly residents who urgently need medical attention, medicine, food, and clean water.

"The people of Oleshky have limited electricity, live amid mined roads, and endure regular military attacks. It was abundantly clear that without my intervention, the possibility to bring humanitarian aid into the city and to evacuate the elderly would be impossible," she added.

Residents who wish to evacuate will receive coordinated support and transportation to their preferred destination. I anticipate some will want to go to Russia, and some to Ukraine," Trump added.

Speaking on "Fox & Friends Weekend," senior advisor Marc Beckman said the agreement followed weeks of mediation involving Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Russian troops have held control of Oleshky since the early days of the February 2022 invasion of Ukraine, according to Reuters.

The news agency added that the city had a population of around 24,000 prior to the war, but that has since dwindled to only a few thousand.

Leftist gaming site commentator Hasan Piker and Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., met up in Minnesota to cohost a campaign event on Monday night, bashing President Donald Trump's administration as well as Democrats who are willing to work with him.

Piker, who streams his commentary on Twitch, called Republicans "terrorists" during the event, and Omar referred to the party as the "pedophile protection party."

They made the comments during a Q&A session led by failed Minneapolis mayoral candidate Omar Fateh.

They are what make this country strong, and they're what make it this country great. And any Democrat ... any Democrat that refuses to recognize that, in my opinion, is un-American," Piker said.

Making substitutions at restaurants has become commonplace, but some chefs and restaurant owners are pushing back against requests they say can disrupt kitchen operations and take away from the intended dining experience.

The growing debate has also raised questions about restaurant etiquette, with experts warning that excessive modifications can cross the line from reasonable requests into entitlement.

Lom Wong, a Thai restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona, recently took a stance against substitutions after seeing an increase in modification requests following its recognition in the 2026 Michelin Guide Southwest.

Restaurant industry veteran Robert Mahon and national etiquette expert Diane Gottsman told Fox News Digital that while some substitutions are reasonable, excessive requests can create challenges for restaurants and their staff.

In a post on Instagram, Lom Wong reminded diners that the restaurant serves "village Thai food" and does not follow traditional European-style coursing methods.

"We'll take your whole order at once. Your dishes will come out when they're ready," the post said.

The restaurant also asked guests not to expect it to "change or conform to someone else's idea of what an award-winning restaurant should be."

"We also don't make substitutions simply to make a dish more familiar," the post said. "These recipes were shared with us by our families or by the communities we work with. We respect those recipes and the people who entrusted them to us."

The post drew largely supportive reactions, with some commenters praising the restaurant for standing by its approach.

"The customer is NOT always right. When you come into someone else's house, you show respect and manners," one Instagram user wrote, noting that this includes eating what's on the menu.

Not everyone agreed, however.

"Sounds good in general but no one wants their dessert before their meal or starter after their entree, and it's crazy to say you can't decide you're hungry for more after initially ordering," one commenter wrote.

Excessive substitutions can also undermine the flavors chefs intended diners to experience, Mahon said.

Chefs "create these dishes on the menu with all these different amazing flavors so the customer can experience them all at once," Mahon, director of operations for the New York-based Mahon Hospitality Group, told Fox News Digital.

"However, once you start modifying, the true authentic flavor that was originally meant to be for the dish is not there anymore," he added.

"At the end of the day, we're trying to do what's best for the customer and please them to a certain degree," Mahon said.

Sometimes, however, it's simply not feasible to accommodate every substitution request while running a restaurant at full capacity and providing the best service possible, Mahon said.

Allergies and dietary restrictions are taken seriously and accommodated to the best of a restaurant's ability, Mahon said, but unnecessary modifications can lead to longer wait times, especially if everyone at a table makes changes to their orders.

Excessive substitution requests can also cross the line into poor dining etiquette.

"If it's something minor like asking to remove the tomatoes on top of the piece of protein, for example, easy enough. But when you are completely changing up the order, that comes across as entitlement," Gottsman, founder of the Protocol School of Texas, told Fox News Digital.

If a dish is "something that you really dislike, you should keep your opinions to yourself because it's offensive," she said, adding that, "if it's on their menu, it means that they think that it's important."

Days before the Dallas Cowboys broke a two-game losing skid against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football, team owner Jerry Jones stood in a New York City hotel lobby and spoke about playing better and making the team better.

"Not only do I have expectations," Jones said of his high hopes for the remainder of the season, "I have really sound basis of saying, we're better than [what we've shown], and we can improve in the areas that have really frustrated us, especially last week."

The Cowboys find themselves at 3-4 and within sight of the NFC East-leading New York Giants.

Jeff Lurie an Eagles Hall of Famer and national leader

Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie was inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame on Monday and that's logical because the club has won two Super Bowls during his ownership tenure and he is promising more despite the team's struggles this season.

"The Eagles Hall of Fame honors those who have made exceptional contributions to the history of this organization and the National Football League," former Eagles quarterback and legend Ron Jaworski said. "Among Jeffrey ’s many qualities, it is his unique ability to lead others that has allowed this team to have sustained success over a long period of time."

Let me tell you a different reason Lurie deserves this honor – and your respect.

After the Eagles won the Super Bowl in February of 2025, there was considerable pressure on Lurie to turn down an invitation to visit the White House.

Although he has in the past donated to politicians of both parties, most people understand Lurie is primarily associated with the Democratic Party.

But against that backdrop, the Eagles visited President Donald Trump in April 2025 to celebrate their Super Bowl victory. If Lurie hadn't approved the trip, it would not have happened.

But Lurie did what was right in honoring the highest office of the land, regardless of his personal views, and provided everyone a snapshot of national solidarity on behalf of his franchise and the NFL.

Others have fallen short of that mark. The White House contacted the Seattle Seahawks about a similar visit this year. But, nothing.

The Seahawks officially say they never heard from the White House. They absolutely got an invite via back channels and declined, but rather than paint it as a snub, the White House dropped the issue.

The New York Knicks were invited to the White House and club owner James Dolan, a 30-year Trump friend, immediately accepted. And yet, nothing has moved forward.

Lurie's decision benefitted the NFL and showed unity to the country by respecting the office of the President – even if he might not have necessarily agreed with the office's occupant.

That is leadership.

VP Vance might be right about his Bengals

Vice President JD Vance told everyone he thinks the Bengals are about to make a playoff push following their victory over the Baltimore Ravens and, of course, everyone figures Joe Burrow will have to lead that charge if it's going to happen.

Maybe. But not completely.

The Bengals have gotten Dexter Lawrence to dominate on their defensive line for that run and his impact makes Vance's prediction plausible.

The Giants never wanted to move on from Lawrence in the offseason. But when he got ornery that defensive line coach and mentor Andre Patterson was not retained on John Harbaugh's new staff, and became frustrated with his contract status, and didn't show up to the offseason program, and gained weight beyond his enormous 350 pounds, the Giants sent Lawrence to the Bengals for the No. 10 overall selection in last April's draft.

Great move so far the Bengals.

Lawrence has four sacks from his interior defensive line spot and has seven tackles for loss. He was gobbling burgers in the offseason but is eating up double-team blocks inseason.

The Ravens on Sunday managed only 3.1 yards per carry against the Bengals. Derrick Henry rushed for only 45 yards on 17 carries. That happened against a Bengals defense that was the NFL's worst run defense last season.

They are No. 19 against the run this season and if Lawrence can lead that continued improvement, Vance is going to be proven correct.

NFL's most disappointing unit

You can argue which team has been the most disappointing so far this season – the Colts, the Chargers, the Saints, the Rams – and that can change week to week.

But the most disappointing unit in the NFL has not changed since Week 1: The Houston Texans defense.

That unit opened the season yielding 36 points to the Bills and has since given up 31 points in a game twice and 27 points to the New York Giants on Sunday despite facing J.J. McCarthy in his first start for a team he joined 27 days ago.

That performance came despite the fact DeMeco Ryans took over the defensive play-calling a couple of games ago without much improvement to show for it.

"Honestly, not to boil this down to simplicity, it comes back to basic fundamentals and techniques," general manager Nick Caserio said. "Tackling is tackling. You're either a good tackler or you're not. We can do some things relative to hidden yardage in some of the areas.

"But one of the worst penalized teams in the league, one of the worst tackling teams in the league."

The Texans are 20th in the NFL in fewest points allowed per game. That's bottom-third in the league for a unit that was second in the NFL in fewest points allowed last season.

The Texans have lost four games this season – against Buffalo, Dallas, Indy and the Giants – on the last possession. On defense.

"We put ourselves in a position to win those games," Caserio said. "We just haven't really in the end executed and made enough plays to win."

The Vikings: They're the NFL's only remaining unbeaten team but they're not the NFL's best team by any stretch (the Bills would like a word) and it says here the Perfect Season Miami Dolphins have nothing to worry about. The next month brings games against the Lions, Bills, Packers and 49ers. The Vikings have a great defense, but have scored only five touchdowns in their last five games. Not. Sustainable.

Steve Bisciotti: The Ravens have lost consecutive games and their fans think it's all because of Lamar Jackson's absence, but we train the microscope on the club's owner who fired John Harbaugh and most of his staff, including offensive coordinator Todd Monken. Harbaugh with the Giants and Monken with the Browns are both Coach of the Year candidates right now.

Myles Garrett: Tick tock, sir. The NFL season has begun. It is time to join the fun and the Rams are optimistic it starts this week.

Daniel Jones: Barring a major and unexpected individual rally, he is playing his last season with the Colts. He is signed through next season but the Colts can save $11.6 million in cap space on a pre-June 1 release next offseason or $38 million in cap space on a post-June 1 release. Does the next Colts GM take one of those cap savings options or keep an inconsistent QB who hasn't lived up to his current $88 million contract? Bye, Daniel.

Legendary NFL agent Leigh Steinberg weighed in on the handling of Jalen Hurts' recent blood clot situation, and predicted the impact it may have on the league and quarterback agents moving forward.

Steinberg said he would have contacted team doctors and sought answers if a quarterback he represented faced a similar situation. He predicted Hurts’ case would put the league on alert, while repeatedly emphasizing that medical experts must determine whether the Eagles handled his care appropriately.

"The words ‘blood clot’ would set off an alarm bell in my head," he told OutKick.

Hurts is expected to miss the remainder of the season after further testing revealed deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli — blood clots affecting both lungs. The NFL and NFL Players Association announced Oct. 25 that they were working together to review the matter, following the union’s demand for an investigation.

Steinberg also expressed confidence in Hurts’ agent, Nicole Lynn, and said his description of how he would respond should not be interpreted as an accusation that she failed her client.

"I believe that his agent was diligent," he said. "I know his agent, she’s excellent."

The scrutiny centers on Hurts being cleared to play against Jacksonville in London on Oct. 11 after an ultrasound identified a superficial clot in his left calf.

According to the Eagles, Hurts first sought treatment Oct. 8, telling medical personnel he had been cleated during the Oct. 4 game against the Rams. He practiced fully before traveling to London, where the ultrasound was performed Oct. 10. The team said its medical staff and London doctors determined that activity and mobility were important and that he could safely play.

After Hurts returned to Philadelphia, a follow-up ultrasound Oct. 14 revealed movement in the clot, the Eagles said. He was subsequently placed on injured reserve Oct. 17.

"Should he have played in London?" Steinberg asked. "That’s an open question."

He stressed that the later diagnosis alone does not establish that the earlier medical decisions were wrong.

"This is a medical question which can only be analyzed by experts in the field of blood clot diagnosis," he said.

Steinberg said he knows Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie and general manager Howie Roseman and believes they are committed to player health. He raised the possibility that Hurts’ condition continued developing despite appropriate attention, and said he knew of no evidence establishing that the diagnosis should have been handled differently.

The NFL has defended the care Hurts received.

"I have complete confidence in the Eagles’ medical staff and their handling of this situation," NFL medical chief Allen Sills said.

The NFLPA, however, called for a full investigation before conclusions are reached. Front Office Sports reported Oct. 25 that the league and union were discussing the investigation’s process and details, citing a source who said it had not formally launched.

Hurts’ diagnosis is serious, but the Eagles and Lynn have described him as clinically stable, with no significant functional limitations, and said they expect a full recovery without long-term effects. His treatment involves blood thinners, and he cannot participate in contact activities while taking them. Their statement said he could remain around the team and continue conditioning.

Superficial vein thrombosis affects veins near the skin’s surface and is generally less dangerous than deep vein thrombosis. A deep-vein clot can break off and travel to the lungs, causing a potentially life-threatening pulmonary embolism. The distinction matters when assessing what doctors knew at each stage of Hurts’ care.

Steinberg expects the case to encourage greater caution across football.

"The progression of this from a marginal health problem to a potential life-threatening problem is going to put the league on alert," he said.

Asked whether other agents were discussing the situation, he stopped short of identifying specific conversations.

"I think they should be," he said.

Steinberg connected that responsibility to his work on concussions and brain health, including his foundation and medical conferences. His foundation focuses on understanding, preventing and treating concussions, traumatic brain injuries and related conditions.

He said he came to view protecting players’ immediate and future health as a fiduciary responsibility.

The football consequences are substantial, too. Steinberg argued that the importance of franchise quarterbacks, combined with their enormous contracts, leaves teams particularly vulnerable when a starter is lost.

Hurts signed a five-year, $255 million extension in 2023. Philadelphia has turned to Tanner McKee, its sixth-round selection out of Stanford in 2023.

Steinberg described the transition from an experienced, Super Bowl-winning quarterback to McKee as a "precipitous drop off in talent." He also raised the possibility that another quarterback injury could force Philadelphia further down its depth chart.

"It alters the balance of power in football," Steinberg said. "And it’s a big setback for the Eagles."

His larger concern, however, was what happens beyond the season.

"The issue here is long-term health," he said. "The issue is safeguarding him from dire consequences."

From anthems to definitions, the WNBA keeps doing dumb things, and the reason for it will leave you speechless

Searching for a late snack outside Chase Center on Monday night after the Golden State Valkyries took care of the Atlanta Dream in Game 5 of the WNBA Finals, I found myself rather speechless.

A woman dressed in a lavender Valkyries jersey saw the media credential around my neck, and, as I stood at the counter of a restaurant trying to decide what to order, she offered to pay for my meal.

As we chatted, she said that she appreciates so much the media coverage that the WNBA gets because she is such a big fan. Buying a meal for a reporter, she explained, was the least she could do.

Speechless. How unexpectedly nice!

I politely declined, of course, and laughed to myself as it occurred to me that, while my newfound friend could see that I was wearing a media badge (I forgot to take it off as I exited the arena), she undoubtedly didn’t see what media organization I work for.

Most diehard WNBA fans probably don’t fully appreciate the coverage we give the WNBA here at Fox News Digital/OutKick.

To our credit, we have given the WNBA credit when credit is due. We have pointed out its rise in TV ratings and attendance numbers. We are all over Caitlin Clark’s mind-blowing impact on the league and on the sports world in general. We have fun keeping up with Sophie Cunningham and we have even written favorably on Angel Reese beyond just her "mebounds."

LONG LIST OF EMBARRASSING WNBA INCIDENTS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SPORTS LEAGUES MADE POLITICS THEIR PRIMARY FOCUS

Yet, unlike most media organizations that cover, strike that – coddle, the WNBA, we have also pointed out the lunacy that can be the WNBA, and rightfully so.

This league. Oh, this league. Lately, it too has left me speechless. If I could type the equivalent of the hand-palming-the-forehead emoji, I would.

Prior to coming here, I covered the WNBA for 24 years, starting in its first season. In the early days, players were humble, and genuinely grateful just to have a place in the United States to play. They were extremely conscious of their place as role models for kids, especially young girls.

The league, which represented a long-time-coming for professional women’s team sports, was easy to root for. I felt good taking my young kids to games, especially my daughter. I encouraged the girls on the grade school basketball teams I coached to dream big and aspire to be WNBA players someday.

I can’t say that I would give that same advice today.

Many of the players today seem entitled and bratty, flat-out unlikable.

And over the last three to five years, the WNBA as a league has done so many stupid, self-sabotaging things that it’s hard to even keep track of them all. But I will attempt it.

** Somehow, this league that was created to empower and uplift women cannot define a woman. This is why we have the Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White dilemmas. Those two former NBA players may have generated a lot of headlines with their antics, but they don’t want to play in the WNBA. Obviously. Like many of us, I think they just got sick of the WNBA not using its platform as an advocate for female athletes to take the lead in the fight against men in women’s sports. That should have been a no-brainer for the WNBA. Remember, the W in WNBA does stand for women. Why does the WNBA seem to forget that?

** This league has been out to cook its golden goose from Day 1. It’s beyond comprehension. Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark brought fans and eyeballs and money and deals and interest to the WNBA that was unprecedented. And all she’s gotten in return is grief, both physical and verbal, from her colleagues. These other players have stuck her in the eye, pushed her, pulled her, knocked her down. They’ve disrespected her in awards voting, they’ve spoken of her with disdain. Call it jealousy, or sour grapes, or perhaps reverse racism. Whatever it is, it’s insane that the league hasn’t squashed this madness long ago. Whatever the opposite of smart business is, the WNBA is the poster child.

** The WNBA has alienated large swaths of fans by allowing players to issue damning accusations and engage in bad behavior. Angel Reese has accused Indiana Fever fans of being racist. Ditto for DiJonai Carrington and Alyssa Thomas. Meanwhile, Natasha Cloud, while she was playing in a game, got into a yelling match with Kanter Freedom, who was sitting in the stands. And league MVP A’Ja Wilson stepped towards the baseline seats and yelled at a fan, just because he was yelling something innocuous at her during the course of a game, as fans tend to do. All of this is bad behavior, and a bad, bad look.

** Not all messaging is OK in the WNBA. Only that of the preferred ideologies. Fans who wore XX-XY shirts in support of women’s sports to games in Atlanta and San Francisco were harassed, and in one case asked to cover those shirts. But Minnesota Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve showed up to coach a nationally televised game in a "Trans Kids Belong" T-Shirt, seemingly in response to Sophie Cunningham speaking up for keeping boys out of girls sports. Back when it was en vogue, the WNBA also fully embraced "Black Lives Matter" with signage on its floors and uniforms.

** And then there’s the self-sabotage du jour, the anthem controversy. While in San Francisco, I covered the latest Finals game in which both teams ran off the court as soon as it was time for the national anthem, and then ran back on as soon as it was over. Five Finals games, five run-offs. Why is this a thing? The only "explanation" we’ve heard is that "it’s part of the pregame routine." Really? Running off the court, disappearing for 60 to 90 seconds, only to run back onto the court to resume what you were doing right before you ran off? That’s a key part of the game prep? Please. This feels so wrong to me. It feels disrespectful, irreverent to skip out on the anthem. Part of our sports culture in this country is the playing of the national anthem prior to events. It’s a tradition, it’s an opportunity for people to come together under one flag and feel united as Americans. It’s an opportunity to honor our country and those who served and died for our freedoms. How can any of that be a bad thing? But for some reason, the WNBA has decided to stick a lightning rod in the national anthem, too.

WNBA WANTS A BIGGER STORY THAN CAITLIN CLARK, BUT TV RATINGS KEEP POINTING BACK TO HER

Without a doubt, the WNBA has gotten more attention than ever lately because of these dumpster fires that inevitably go viral. And while that attention is for, in my opinion, all the wrong reasons, maybe, just maybe, this is all a part of some genius and purposeful marketing plan by the league. A "let’s do and say the craziest things possible" because "there is no such thing as bad publicity."

And that leads me to what else left me speechless in San Francisco. I interviewed at least 20 fans prior to the Valkyries-Dream game on Monday and I couldn’t believe what most of them were saying. None of them seemed all that bothered by the national anthem issue.

And these were all very nice people, too, all seemingly very normal folks. Just very different in their thinking and their worldviews. They said things like: standing on the floor should be the players’ choice, that not everyone views the anthem the same. One said that the anthem shouldn’t be played before games in the first place.

See? Speechless.

Maybe this is why it seems like the WNBA is constantly doubling down on the madness. It’s not worried.

The league is drawing record crowds. Chase Center was packed to the rafters on Monday.

Dante Moore won’t quit on Oregon, but concussion will keep star QB out of games moving forward for Ducks

The unfortunate 2026 season for the Oregon Ducks continues to get worse by the day, as Dan Lanning announced on Monday that he does not expect quarterback Dante Moore to return this season.

It was during the September 28th game against USC when Oregon's season took a turn, when Moore sustained a concussion after taking a shot to the head by linebacker Desman Stephens as the quarterback was attempting to slide on a run.

Over the past few weeks, Moore had returned to practice for Oregon, participating with the team on a daily basis. But, in terms of returning to the field in an uncontrolled environment, Dan Lanning mentioned that he can not be cleared by the Ducks medical team for a return to live action.

"Really got clarity for us over the past week. I think if it was up to Dante in any shape or way, he would want to be out there playing for the guys," Lanning said on Monday. "But unfortunately, it's not really up to Dante, and it's not really up to me. We can control the settting of practice where he's able to do things for us, where that's not always the case in a game.

"You know, we said before that this is a serious deal that he'll 100% be able to make a full recovery from. That has not changed, I definitely feel that way. But for him to be out there on the field for us right now, that's not going to happen."

This was not Dante Moore quitting on a three-loss Oregon team

Up until the concussion sustained against USC, Moore had thrown for 925 yards and nine touchdowns, with zero interceptions.

And, for those that think this was a decision Dante Moore made in relation to Oregon currently having three losses and the season being a wash, Lanning made it clear this was not the case, as Moore is currently the scout team quarterback.

"We're getting one of the best scout team looks in practice every week, and he looks good out there," Lanning mentioned. "This isn’t like a selfish decision on Dante's part saying 'I don't wanna come back, the season doesn’t look like theyw ay I want it to look'. That's not at all what this is."

Oregon moving forward, with Dante Moore now preparing for the NFL

The unfortunate situation for the Ducks quarterback has obviously had an effect over the past month.

After suffering a loss to Oklahoma State, the Ducks were already working at a deficit in the eyes of CFP committee members, not being able to afford two more losses. But, as Oregon worked through two-different quarterbacks in Moore's absence, Dan Lanning has been dealt two additional losses in the process.

Oregon committed seven turnovers in a 17-15 loss to UCLA earlier this month in a loss, and then this past weekend against Illinois could only score ten points in the 21-10 loss on the road.

Now, the reality has set in for a football team that has not been able to establish a rushing attack, while dwindling in the passing game behind their backup quarterbacks.

For Dante Moore, his focus will now shift to making a full recovery in preparation what comes next, which is expected to be the NFL Draft.

The Oregon quarterback has been projected to be a first-round pick next April, after choosing to return for another season in Eugene this past offseason.

What was once a season full of hope for Oregon has now turned into a disaster with over one month left in the regular season, as the Ducks are currently 4-3 with a very low percentage chance of making the postseason.

There will be a lot of questions to be answered over the next few months before the transfer portal opens and Oregon starts to rebuild its roster for 2027, with Dylan Raiola transferring from Nebraska this past offseason in hopes of one day becoming the full-time starter in Eugene.

Lyft driver ejects four women after Portland Thorns protest, then one finds her account deactivated

Julie Lane had already been struck by a Portland Thorns fan, sending her tumbling over two rows of seats. The Bay Area resident was one of about 20 people at Friday's National Women's Soccer League game wearing XX-XY Athletics shirts and holding a "Save Women's Sports" sign.

The demonstration drew verbal and physical backlash from other spectators, prompting Providence Park security to remove Lane and the rest of the group. So you could understand why, after all that, Lane would just want to get back to her hotel.

Unfortunately for her and three other women, a Lyft driver made this much harder than it needed to be.

After picking up the quartet from the stadium, the driver asked the group, "are you the ladies from the news?" Thinking he was on their side, Linda Serbu answered with an enthusiastic yes.

That, according to Lane, is when the driver pulled over and told them to get out.

He said "it's my own private car, and I can cancel any ride I want to, and you don't belong in my car," Lane said.

Keep in mind that most of these women were over 50. Serbu had a walker that the driver loaded up in the trunk. But none of them had any idea where they were when he told them to get out. And Lane? Lane refused to leave the vehicle.

There were two reasons for her resistance.

The first is that she paid for a ride and didn't feel as though she had done anything wrong. This, essentially, was a driver ejecting them for their political views and fashion choices. The second is that she felt genuinely unsafe. These women weren't being chucked next to a shopping mall in broad daylight. According to Lane, it was "a dark corner of Portland."

Nevertheless, the driver called the police with the intention of having the ladies arrested for trespassing if they were still in his car. He admitted as much in a Reddit post, where he described the women as "anti-trans agitators." Lane welcomed the police call, saying "please go ahead and get the cops here. I'd love to talk to them about this." But they were gone before any of Portland's finest showed up.

Another woman ordered an Uber, which arrived a few minutes later and took the group to its destination. This happened as Lane was on the phone with a Lyft support representative, who said the driver was going to be disciplined. But much to Lane's surprise the next morning — as she was awaiting a scheduled Lyft ride — she discovered that Lyft had deactivated her account.

Asked for comment on the whole ordeal, a Lyft spokesperson wrote the following in an email to OutKick.

"Everyone deserves to feel safe and respected on the Lyft platform, and discrimination of any kind has no place in our community. Our Safety team was in contact with both the rider and the driver involved and we are continuing to review the incident."

The driver's actions may also have violated Portland city regulations. Under Section 16.40.280(C)(13) of the city code, rideshare drivers are prohibited from refusing to transport passengers of "proper demeanor" to destinations within Portland after accepting their rides.

But he doesn't seem to feel an ounce of remorse, with his Reddit post reading like a 380-word back pat. He lamented that it took security more than 15 minutes to eject the XX-XY crowd from the stadium, and wrote "Please address this by making better efforts to keep fans safe at Providence Park, especially those in the LGBTQ + community."

Serbu found that line ironic.

"He admits that he kicked us out for our T-shirts and our, quote, 'anti-LGB activism,' or something. And just to clarify, we were two lesbians and two bisexual women," she said.

Probably a safe bet that none of these women will be moving to Portland any time soon. Even after leaving the stadium, they were met with incessant boos and middle fingers from Thorns fans.

Inside the Somali mall safe haven where Ilhan Omar reappeared after feds raided her DC home

MINNEAPOLIS — It's the largest Somali mall in the world, according to its owner.

It's also where Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., spent a significant chunk of her Friday — marking her first day back in the public eye after the Oct. 12 raid on her Washington, D.C., home.

Fox News Digital got a look inside the Karmel Mall of Somalia, which isn't like typical American malls that sport brand-name shops situated around a vast food court and end-capped by large department stores.

Rather, the building that boasts four floors of shops and 900 vendors resembles more of a storage facility. When shop owners arrive, they lift their metal garage doors, signifying that their stores are open. Scheduled opening and closing times don't appear particularly stringent for shop owners.

SOMALIS IN MINNESOTA UNLEASH FURY ON TRUMP AFTER FEDS RAID ILHAN OMAR'S DC HOME

It was in the mall's dining area, adorned with the Somali, Palestinian and American flags flying at the same height, that Omar dined among friends in the Somali community for lunch on Friday. State Attorney General Keith Ellison was also present. The ceiling of the food vendor area is painted light blue and emblazoned with a white star resembling the Somali flag.

Somali cafes sell traditional food, including sambusas, a flaky fried pastry filled with meat and spices, bijaye, which is fried cornmeal similar to a hush puppy or falafel, and goat meat and basmati rice. Many Somalis in the mall ate only with their hands, though Omar and her acquaintances could be seen using forks during their Friday lunch.

Omar — who's "real name" is Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, according to sources familiar with the criminal investigation into the congresswoman — was greeted by smiling patrons at the mall, some of whom she chatted with briefly and posed for photographs.

All the while, she and Ellison were surrounded by security guards.

Fox News Digital was allowed access into the mall by its Gaza-born owner, Basim Sabri, in order to film the congresswoman's visit just after she and Ellison voted early at a Minneapolis polling station.

There are also several travel agencies offering arrangements from the United States to the Middle East and East Africa. Traditional Somali clothiers sell their goods in the mall, while Somali barbers tend to customers in their own shops. English is the mall's second language.

Elderly men, adorned in traditional Somali clothing and brimless white caps called koofiyad, sit in silence in metal chairs alongside the open walls of the mall, many staring onward, as if lost in thought.

"You are standing at the Karmel Mall, and the surrounding community next to us, and its referred to as [the] Islamic Peace Village by many other people as well," Sabri told Fox News Digital in an interview outside his mall. "Karmel Mall is the largest Somali mall in the world, and it's also the largest mall in the city of Minneapolis."

The largest mall in the United States, the Mall of America, is located in nearby Bloomington, Minnesota.

"It is kind of an incubator setting where many businesses start in here, and then many succeed and grow and move somewhere else, to a bigger space," said Sabri.

The mall isn't explicitly for Somalis, though Sabri, a high-profile local figure, once banned Democratic Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey from the premises in February 2024 after Frey vetoed an Israel-Gaza ceasefire resolution passed by the City Council.

However, there appears to be an implicit understanding that the mall is for Somalis. Outsiders, especially those with cameras, are scrutinized by security guards and mall patrons alike. Sabri told guards to stand down while Fox News Digital walked the mall earlier last week.

Sabri is friends with Omar, and also knew her late father, though he did not share details about the rumored Somali National Army colonel's life or their relationship.

The congresswoman and Sabri posed for a photo alongside Ellison and a fourth, unidentified man, during the congresswoman's luncheon. The mall owner and Ellison shared a brief but cordial conversation during the midday affair.

Fox News Digital spoke with Sabri for about an hour outside the mall in two informal interviews last Tuesday, without cameras rolling. He told stories about growing up poor in the Middle East and eventually moving to study in Minneapolis, where he later built a vast real estate empire that includes the mall. Sabri owns several apartment complexes in the vicinity of his Lake Street mall, occupied mostly by Somalis.

During the interviews, Sabri was often interrupted as he directed employees, most Somalis, to tasks which they in turn hustled to accomplish. Members of the Somali community stopped to greet him, including a man described as Rep. Omar's "security." Sabri also solicited conversations with passersby, all of whom recognized him.

The jovial character is clearly well-liked by his staff and known throughout the community.

He has the ear of local politicians, too, whom he repeatedly called "whores." He arranged an interview for Fox News Digital with Minneapolis City Council Vice President Jamal Osman.

Sabri also has an air of worldly sophistication. He sends his son to Institut Le Rosey, known as the "School of Kings," one of the most elite secondary schools in the world. It is located in Switzerland and has a price tag of about $184,000 per year.

But the mall owner has also faced troubles in the past.

In 2005, Sabri was sentenced to 33 months in federal prison for bribing a local Minneapolis public official. He told Fox News Digital about his time in prison, which included a brief stay at the infamous Federal Correctional Institution, Leavenworth in Kansas, almost boastfully.

Sabri bragged that the siloed Somali mall is evidence of assimilation on behalf of his foreign-born tenants and part of living the "American dream," though the opposite seemed true.

"You can see [the] Somalis not only integrating in the community, but also prospering," he said. "Somalis are very smart business individuals."

"Yes, there's some crooks in every society ... just like every other community," he said, apparently nodding to the massive fraud scandals that have plagued the Somali community in Minnesota in the national headlines.

"But my experience is that Somalis are very, very intelligent and extremely hard-working people."

Meghan Markle is no longer in talks to join "The Gentlemen," with friends alleging she was "used to help promote" the Netflix series.

Royal experts told Fox News Digital that the Duchess of Sussex's "safety net" with Netflix "is gone" as uncertainty surrounding her relationship with the streaming service threatens to derail her acting comeback before it even gets off the ground.

"Harry and Meghan's champion inside Netflix, Bela Bajaria, has recently left the streaming service," British broadcaster Helena Chard told Fox News Digital. "The previous safety net is gone. Unfortunately for Meghan, she may want to jump straight into a top acting role, but there is far more stacked against it happening."

"This was one of their most important commercial partners. You don't typically throw a company under the bus when you're counting on them to finance your next big project. To me, this is the clearest indication yet that their relationship with Netflix has effectively come to an end."

The Duchess of Sussex was reportedly under consideration for a role in the third season of Guy Ritchie's Netflix drama following her move back to the U.K. with Prince Harry. However, sources close to Meghan have accused Netflix of leaking news of her potential involvement to boost publicity for the show.

"Some people in her camp feel she was used to help promote Season 2, because they knew it wasn't as good as the first season and had already commissioned a third," one source told The Telegraph.

"It's the oldest marketing trick in the book: get a big name to read a script, then leak that you're 'in conversation' with them when, in reality, nothing is particularly far along. The whole thing left a bit of a sour taste in the Sussex camp's mouth. Needless to say, Netflix got what it wanted: huge viewing figures for Season 2 and a lot of publicity."

Fox News Digital reached out to Archewell and Netflix for comment.

Schofield told Fox News Digital she wouldn't be surprised if Meghan's relationship with Netflix had soured.

"Netflix has already withdrawn from its investment in As Ever," Schofield said. "Meghan herself credited Bajaria with recognizing the television potential in her homemade gifts. She told the TIME100 Summit that 'With Love, Meghan,' her lifestyle show, was Bajaria's idea."

"Now, after Bajaria's departure, we're hearing accusations that Netflix exploited Meghan for publicity," Schofield said. "Does that sound like a relationship with a promising future? I suspect Meghan's camp feels comfortable criticizing Netflix because there's nothing left to protect."

A source close to Netflix has pushed back on the accusations, telling The Times, "This is not a show in need of stunt casting."

A Netflix consultant who worked closely with Bajaria told The Times that Meghan and Harry's relationship with the streaming service has been called into question.

"Effectively, their biggest champion has gone, and they are uncertain about who will be shouting for their cause in the future," the source said. "Teams at the company were well aware of how she was fiercely loyal to the couple and determined to prove they were a successful signing, even when the response from viewers was different."

"The Gentlemen," which is set in the U.K., was renewed for a third season in August. Deadline previously reported that talks about Meghan joining the cast were in the "very early stages," while The Hollywood Reporter reported that the role "is currently being written, so it's unclear how many episodes she would appear in."

British royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital that Meghan "did nothing to thwart all the speculation" sooner, noting that Netflix also did not issue a statement to address the casting rumors.

"They benefited from the additional coverage even if, as they claim, it wasn't needed," Fordwich said. "Such a high-profile show would have been a high-profile win for Meghan."

In March 2026, Netflix and Meghan announced the end of their partnership involving her lifestyle brand, As Ever, with the Duchess of Sussex moving forward independently. As Ever launched in 2025, about a month after the premiere of "With Love, Meghan." The show released two seasons and a holiday special in 2025. Reports in January 2026 indicated that it would not return for a third season.

Harry and Meghan first partnered with Netflix in 2020 under a deal reportedly worth $100 million. Their projects included the 2022 series "Harry & Meghan" and "Live to Lead," 2023's "Heart of Invictus" and 2024's "Polo." Although reports in July 2025 suggested the original agreement would not be renewed, Netflix announced a new multiyear, first-look deal with Archewell Productions in August 2025.

According to The Times, Netflix previously scrapped an animated project from the couple, while little has been reported about their planned film adaptations of the war memoir "No Way Out" and the romance novels "Meet Me at the Lake" and "The Wedding Date."

It is unclear whether Netflix will pick up a potential documentary about Harry's late mother, Princess Diana, ahead of the 30th anniversary of her death in 2027. People magazine reported that Harry is exploring projects, but no documentary has been finalized or confirmed.

"'The Gentlemen' is an established Guy Ritchie production with its own audience," Schofield said. "The suggestion that Netflix needed Meghan to rescue its viewing figures is quite a claim from someone whose own lifestyle series struggled to become a mainstream hit."

"Meghan's royal connections might get her into the room, but they don't guarantee her a successful acting career. At some point, the work has to speak for itself."

Before marrying Harry in 2018, Meghan played Rachel Zane in "Suits" for seven seasons. In 2022, Meghan told Variety that she was "done" with acting. She has since filmed a cameo in the upcoming film "Close Personal Friends," which stars Lily Collins and Jack Quaid.

Sources told People magazine that Meghan and Harry have been discussing her return to acting "for some time." The outlet reported that Meghan is "excited" about returning to the profession and is exploring opportunities.

"Meghan Markle has repeatedly told us she was finished with acting," Schofield said. "During her 2017 engagement interview, she said she'd 'ticked this box.' Now, after six years in Hollywood and several attempts to reinvent herself, she's now reportedly entertaining a return to the profession she so confidently walked away from. Sure, a role in an established Guy Ritchie production would have given her an opportunity to change the conversation about her professional accomplishments. But I also think the timing of the story is revealing."

"Harry and Meghan had just returned to Britain, a move that could easily be interpreted as an acknowledgment that their Hollywood ambitions hadn't worked out," Schofield said. "Suddenly, we're hearing about Meghan's potential acting comeback. The Sussexes seem determined to turn every bit of publicity into a much larger PR strategy. The problem is that their PR ambitions continue to outpace their professional accomplishments."

Royal broadcaster Ian Pelham Turner believes Meghan's desire to return to acting, whether in Hollywood or the U.K., is genuine.

"The role which brought her to fame in ‘Suits’ proves she is an actress of quality," he said. "If she wanted to return to acting, which I believe is still a passion, then she could bring great credit to any production."

Maintaining healthy blood sugar levels is essential for energy, organ function and overall metabolic health, while frequent or prolonged spikes and drops can contribute to health complications.

Jim LaValle, a Texas-based clinical pharmacist and metabolic medicine expert, told Fox News Digital that understanding how food, exercise, sleep and stress affect blood sugar is key to keeping levels in check.

LaValle recommends monitoring blood sugar after meals, known as postprandial glucose, to better understand how different foods, beverages and eating habits affect blood sugar levels.

"Do I spike more from eating rice, or do I spike from eating quinoa? How much can I eat?" he said. "I think that's a foundational issue."

The metabolic health expert noted that insulin resistance occurs when cells become less responsive to insulin, a process that can be influenced by inflammation in the body.

Normally, insulin helps move glucose from the bloodstream into muscle cells, where it can be stored as glycogen for later use.

"You've got to watch how many sugars are in food, how many refined carbohydrates you're [eating]," he added.

One of the simplest lifestyle habits to help lower blood sugar, according to LaValle, is taking a 10-minute walk after eating. Regular exercise is an "obvious" healthy practice, he added, although he acknowledged that it's not easy for everyone.

"It’s easy to say, ‘eat better, exercise, sleep better,’ but then people are working 16-hour days or are single parents, they get home, they open up their pantry and destroy a bag of cookies because that's the first thing they can eat and their blood sugar’s plummeted," he said.

Even a little movement after eating can be beneficial, LaValle said, particularly in a modern world that’s "eliminating the need to move."

LaValle also emphasized the importance of managing stress, which can contribute to insulin resistance.

Along with healthy eating, exercise and stress management, getting adequate sleep is "huge for glucose regulation," he added.

"When you don't sleep, and you don’t get enough rest to reset your body for the next day ... all those hormones that are supposed to be getting released get skewed," LaValle said, noting that insulin regulation is particularly affected by inadequate sleep.

LaValle noted that sleep apnea is often associated with conditions such as diabetes, prediabetes, high blood pressure and obesity, emphasizing the importance of healthy sleep habits.

"Then you're going to start to put weight on and then, when you don't get enough sleep, you’ve got to eat more to fuel your brain," LaValle cautioned.

Sen Slotkin threatened students like me. Senate needs an ethics probe

Michigan Senator Elissa Slotkin recently came to my campus, the University of Chicago, to join Vox editorial director Astead Herndon for a live program of America before a crowd of students. Believing she was speaking to a group of friends, she let her intentions be known should Democrats win back power in November. She wanted young conservatives interested in serving their country in its government to think, "Lord, that might be buying myself a ton of problems I don’t want, so let me avoid participating in that. I want that deterrence message sent." My friends and I received her "deterrence message," as did millions of patriotic Americans across the country.

Unfortunately for Senator Slotkin, our team with the Chicago Thinker was there and listening to her every word. Now the walls are closing in. Members of Congress and President Trump have condemned her remarks. The Article III Project referred her to the Department of Justice’s Office of Civil Rights for inquiry and potential investigation. And a government watchdog filed an ethics complaint against her. Yesterday, I joined them by filing my own ethics complaint as the student reporter who originally broke the story.

It’s time for the Senate Ethics Committee to open an investigation into Senator Slotkin for her remarks. The Ethics Manual is clear: "Conduct [that] has been characterized as ‘improper conduct which may reflect upon the Senate,’ … has provided the basis for the Senate’s most serious disciplinary cases in modern times." The question before the Committee, then, is whether threatening young conservatives would reflect poorly on the Senate and set a dangerous precedent for the future.

SLOTKIN WANTS GOP PROSECUTIONS TO DETER YOUNG PEOPLE FROM TRUMP ADMINISTRATION JOBS

It would. Senator Slotkin’s statement was clearly meant to intimidate one side of the aisle from serving their country in government by way of investigations and prosecutions. She did not merely send a deterrence message — she sent a threat to Americans who dare dissent from her liberal orthodoxy. Whatever your opinions of Senator Slotkin’s own politics, such threats are unbecoming of a member of the United States Senate.

Senator Slotkin’s defense so far has been unconvincing. She claims all she really meant was that those who violate the law should be prosecuted for doing so. It’s hard to see how that’s the case when we reexamine her comments and put them in context. She wanted to send a "deterrence message" to those interested in serving in government, not to those interested in breaking the law. As the host remarked to her immediately after her comments, "You could make them a pariah socially, politically, maybe even legally," as she quietly nodded along in front of an audience of college students. If all she wanted to do was prevent those interested in breaking the law from joining the government, she could have said as much. But she did not.

Let’s suppose the sides were reversed. Suppose a Republican senator said they would investigate and prosecute so many members of another’s staff that young public servants would be deterred from working for them out of fear of legal retribution. One can already imagine Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and his Democratic colleagues rushing to the Senate floor to condemn such comments and calling for an ethics investigation, censureship, or even expulsion.

They would be right to do so, and I would join them in such calls.

This is not about partisan games. Those who love this country, share its values and seek to serve it should be allowed — indeed, encouraged — to do so, no matter their political background.

Many of our nation’s finest moments have come with the help of young staffers. Ted Sorensen began working as John F. Kennedy’s speechwriter when he was twenty-four. Peggy Noonan was in her early thirties when she did the same for President Reagan. And it was a team of young staffers, many in their twenties, who were dispatched in the Kennedy and Johnson administrations to document the oppression of Black Americans during the Civil Rights Era.

Should Senator Slotkin’s remarks go without formal condemnation from the Senate, or at the very least some form of investigation, I fear the consequences for our country. The world is rapidly changing. Artificial intelligence is shocking the economy, the global order and the minds of millions of Americans all at once. Wars rage on around the globe. Our body politic is more divided than at any point since the Civil War. Now is the time to be encouraging more political participation among our best and brightest youths, not less.

Frustrated Illinois residents seek to redraw state map in bid to break free from Chicago

Frustrated Illinois residents are pushing to break away from Chicago and form a new state, driven by what the movement’s leader calls growing resentment over the city’s influence on the rest of Illinois.

Loret Newlin, director of Illinois Separation, which is leading the push to let voters weigh in on breaking away from Cook County and forming a new state, told Fox News Digital that residents outside the Chicago area are being ignored by state government and want to change that.

"Our area is not taken into consideration when laws are being made," Newlin said. "There's definitely more focus on them, and the laws are centered to benefit Chicago and Cook [County]."

"There is a lot of area outside of Cook that should have been taken into consideration," she said.

The referendums are intended to gauge whether voters want to pursue forming a separate state made up of Illinois counties outside Cook County. She pointed to a proposed per-mile tax for drivers making its way through the Illinois legislature as one example of how she says state lawmakers are overlooking downstate residents.

Newlin said the proposed per-mile tax, introduced by state Sen. Ram Villivalam, whose district includes part of Chicago, would disproportionately affect rural residents, farmers and truckers who lack the public transit options available in the city.

"It's a long way to a lot of important things for people who live in downstate. A lot of our businesses rely on transportation. One of our biggest industries down here is truckers, farmers. And the commute to a job is usually a little farther, and we don't have the option of taking the Chicago public transit system," Newlin said. "And we tried to defeat this in 2019 and succeeded, but as typical, they won't take no for an answer."

Newlin also criticized Illinois' SAFE-T Act, saying she's "not happy" with the law and believes it "really benefits the criminals," and pointed to the impact it's having on Chicago.

Pat McAfee invokes Charlie Kirk killing as Utah post sparks 'uncomfortable' 'GameDay' visit

ESPN star Pat McAfee appeared to reference the killing of Charlie Kirk as he ripped the University of Utah over a social media post he says made him feel "very, very uncomfortable" before Saturday’s "College GameDay" broadcast.

McAfee said he saw a video on the university’s Instagram account shortly before going on air in Salt Lake City. The post asked students to do impressions of him, he said, and included comments calling him "corny" and "creepy."

The video has since been removed from the university’s social media accounts.

The former NFL punter said he would not have minded if students had shared the remarks themselves, but he took issue with the university posting them before he walked in front of thousands of fans.

"The university puts that out, like as I’m about to go out and do an infomercial for the place, and then I’m walking in front of thousands of these people," McAfee said Monday on "The Pat McAfee Show."

"This is how the university feels about it. It’s an uncomfortable feeling."

McAfee said the post "set me off a little bit" and made him feel "a little weird." He then appeared to reference the September 2025 shooting of Kirk, the conservative activist who was killed during an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, about 40 miles south of Salt Lake City.

Later in the segment, McAfee again pointed to "what happened 40 miles south of Salt Lake City a little over a year ago," saying the university’s post added to the hostility he faced just before he went on air to promote the school.

"I was very, very uncomfortable," he said. "I think it made me not have the greatest morning."

The University of Utah apologized in a statement posted to its official Instagram account, saying its goal was to create "lighthearted engagement" about McAfee’s return to campus, but it "missed the mark."

"University staff are responsible for reviewing and posting content on official social media accounts and we take full accountability for that decision," the school said.

The university said officials had reached out to McAfee to express their appreciation and regret.

"We sincerely apologize for creating any perception that Pat was unsafe or unwelcome on our campus. Nothing could be further from the truth," the statement said.

The school added that McAfee and the entire "College GameDay" crew are always welcome at the university. It said ESPN’s pregame show has visited its campus seven times and that it has enjoyed a positive relationship with the crew.

McAfee said he knew some people believed the students’ comments were not particularly harsh, but he kept coming back to who posted the video.

"It was the university putting that out. It’s not like a blog. It’s the actual place that we’re at," he said.

The Instagram post was not the only part of McAfee’s visit that appeared to frustrate him. He also took issue with a student participating in his weekly "Kicking Is Easy" contest, which gives a contestant a chance to kick a field goal for $1 million.

McAfee said the student questioned why the prize was "only $1 million" after the potential prize reached $3 million for the previous week’s Notre Dame-BYU game.

"It’s my money! Only $1 million. It’s like, all right, I hate this place. I hate this place," he said.

McAfee said he hopes he never has to return to the university and joked that he might have COVID if "College GameDay" goes back.

Despite his frustrations, he praised Utah’s football team and called its student section "incredible." He also thanked the fans who attended Saturday’s broadcast.

"It was a phenomenal GameDay. Thank you to everybody that showed up," he said.

Utah went on to defeat Houston 21-13 on Saturday.

With the midterm elections just a week away, House Speaker Mike Johnson warned that GOP voter enthusiasm should not be underestimated, and the Democratic Party’s increasingly left-wing agenda will drive Americans toward Republicans, despite polls showing Democrats with a national advantage.

"If these Democrats took control of Congress, it would be crazier than the Obama years and the Biden-Harris years, because they've taken a far lurch to the left," he said on "The Ingraham Angle" Monday. "And people see that, and I think it's going to juice enthusiasm for our side."

Johnson decried the policy stances of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), which several prominent midterm congressional candidates have affiliated themselves with. He warned that their proposals to abolish borders and prisons and defund police departments would be dangerous for the country.

"This is not our father's Democrat Party," the speaker said. "This group is taking a far turn to the left. You see it by their all-star candidates they're promoting around the country."

Johnson characterized the 2026 midterms as a "contrast election," saying voters face a choice between "common sense" and "crazy."

"Truly, everybody has to ask themselves the simple question: Which set of policies is better for my family, my aging parents, my children? You have to vote Republican," he said.

"You would be turning the keys over to a group of angry Democrats, who are going to go after retribution of President Trump and his administration. They're going to open those borders wide. They're gonna try to repeal the working families tax cut and all that we've done in the economy."

Johnson’s comments come as polls show Democrats leading Republicans this midterm election cycle. A new Reuters Ipsos poll found that registered voters favored Democrats over Republicans by 47% to 36%.

The House leader argued that polls are misrepresentative and underestimate Republican enthusiasm. He claimed that Republican voters have become increasingly unwilling to participate in polls and surveys because of distrust.

"The polls are grossly underestimating Republican enthusiasm around the country," he told Fox News host Laura Ingraham.

Johnson, who said he will visit 21 states over the next week, said his abundant travel across the nation ahead of Nov. 3 reinforced his confidence in Republican turnout.

"We've been from coast to coast, and I'm telling you, the polling is inaccurate," he said.

Johnson warned that a Democratic takeover of Congress would bring prolonged political turmoil to Capitol Hill.

"It will be chaos every day for two years in the next Congress. You have to keep Republicans in charge, and every single vote is going to count," he said.

Jay-Z is headed to the Super Bowl stage.

The music mogul will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show, the company announced during halftime of Monday’s Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia Eagles game.

Super Bowl LXI is set for Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

"GOAT’s out of the bag," Apple Music wrote in a post on X, tagging Jay-Z.

The announcement comes after reports that Jay-Z was in the running for the coveted performance.

"From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, this has been a journey," shared in a statement with the official announcement. "Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world's biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true."

Puck News previously reported that the rapper had been selected over Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, as OutKick reported last week.

TMZ had also reported that Harry Styles was among the frontrunners.

Jay-Z and his entertainment company, Roc Nation, have helped produce and select performers for the Super Bowl halftime show since 2019.

"For several years, we’ve had the privilege of working closely with Jay-Z and Roc Nation, and I’ve seen the extraordinary impact he has had on the Super Bowl Halftime Show," said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

"When we first reached an agreement with Roc Nation to produce the show, I had just one request: that Jay-Z take the stage himself one day, whenever the moment felt right to him," he continued. "I couldn’t be more excited for fans around the world to experience the artistry, creativity and cultural impact he will bring to the Super Bowl stage."

The 56-year-old rapper is no stranger to the stadium where he’ll take the Super Bowl stage. He wrapped up his Jay-Z 30 Tour with back-to-back shows at SoFi Stadium on Oct. 23 and 24.

The four-city tour celebrated the 30th anniversary of his 1996 debut album, "Reasonable Doubt." Puck reported that three consecutive shows at Yankee Stadium in July grossed more than $42 million, according to OutKick.

Jay-Z has won 25 Grammy Awards and was the first rapper inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. His last album, "4:44," was released in 2017.

While the rapper has never performed at the Super Bowl, his wife, Beyoncé, headlined the halftime show in 2013 in New Orleans. She returned to the Super Bowl stage in 2016, joining Coldplay and Bruno Mars in Santa Clara, California.
