America faces a crisis in our military arsenal that Trump is racing to fix

The world feels more dangerous than it's been in a generation. As the United States finds itself back in active conflict in the Middle East, Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine grinds into its fifth year. The world holds its breath to see whether China moves on Taiwan. And after decades of treating our defense industrial base like a peacetime operation, that strain is exposing just how fragile America's arsenal can become.

For decades, the Pentagon has bought munitions the way a peacetime military does: year to year, program by program, with procurement requests that shift with each budget cycle. Years of perceived peace let us coast on the stockpiles already built, without reckoning with the impact this had on our industrial base. Manufacturers were left guessing at demand from one year to the next, and that uncertainty withered production capacity over time.

The war in Iran put this problem on full display. The conflict has put sustained demand on precision munitions and air defense interceptors – affecting both the United States and our allies. Gulf partner nations have warned U.S. officials that their interceptor stocks are running dangerously low, and the Pentagon has been forced to pull THAAD and Patriot batteries out of South Korea to cover the gap.

This didn’t happen in a vacuum. Munitions production has been under-resourced across administrations for years and this is now showing up on the ground. Troops and commanders are having to make calls about where scarce weapons get allocated.

Despite these operational constraints, U.S.-made air defense systems continue to perform admirably in battle. The problem is depth, not capability. Iran has made it clear that we simply don't have enough of that proven hardware to sustain a long fight.

US DRAINS CRITICAL MISSILE STOCKPILES IN IRAN WAR AS YEARSLONG REBUILD LOOMS

Fortunately, recent contract announcements from the Pentagon show that a commitment to fixing this problem is taking hold. The Navy announced a $22.9 billion, seven-year contract to ramp up Tomahawk cruise missile production from roughly 60 a year to more than 1,000. This multiyear commitment provides long-range certainty that lets industry hire the workforce, expand facilities and lock in suppliers around real, sustained demand, as opposed to reacting to it year to year.

It’s a welcome shift that’s part of a larger trend. Since January, the Pentagon signed long-term framework agreements with both RTX and Lockheed Martin covering seven major weapons systems, all built on the same seven-year model. Together, these deals will push AMRAAM production to 1,900 units a year, SM-6 to more than 500, PAC-3 interceptors from 600 to 2,000, and THAAD from 96 to 400. The message behind the numbers is straightforward: The Pentagon wants stockpile depth built in permanently, not scrambled together the next time a war breaks out.

While this is a helpful first step, it won't single-handedly solve the problem. Even under these agreements, full production capacity will take time to arrive, and Congress must approve continued appropriations to fund them through completion. The military is also still working against an outdated procurement process that limits how fast any new capability, not just these missile systems, can reach the warfighter. The U.S. still averages more than 12 years to move a major weapons program from concept to fielding, and that's a separate challenge the Pentagon and Congress still need to resolve.

Moving forward, the Pentagon and Congress should understand that treating sustained, elevated defense investment as the standing cost of this era, not a wartime exception that ends when the current conflict does.

The most formidable challenges facing establishment Democrats in November’s midterms are the success of far-left, socialist, or progressive candidates in primary elections and mainstream Democrats’ surrender to that wing of the party.

Alongside advocating for an agenda that is radical in its drive to reshape America – and is broadly unpopular – the DSA’s influence has left Democrats on the wrong side of an issue that the party has been hobbled by in the past: transgender policies.

Simply put, the DSA’s strong opposition to legislation banning biological males from competing in women’s sports has come to define where the national Democratic Party stands, much to its detriment.

And while this problem did not suddenly become an issue – Democrats had been trending this way for years before the 2024 election – it is only getting worse and will continue to do so.

DEMOCRATS STAY QUIET ON NEXT STEPS AFTER SUPREME COURT TRANSGENDER SPORTS RULING

In Florida, Republican gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds has made transgender issues a central line of attack against Democrat David Jolly, including Jolly’s position on gender-affirming care for minors. Jolly disputes Donalds’ characterization of his position.

Moreover, in Massachusetts, during a debate against incumbent Democratic Sen. Ed Markey, primary challenger Rep. Seth Moulton was forced to reverse himself and walk back comments he made just two years ago.

MASSACHUSETTS SENATE CANDIDATES TRADE SHARP ATTACKS IN FIERY DEBATE AS INCUMBENT MARKEY SKIPS EVENT

At the time, Moulton said, "I have two little girls, I don’t want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete."

Fast-forward to their 2026 debate earlier this month: Moulton walked back his phrasing, apologizing to the trans community for any pain caused while insisting his underlying goal was to encourage open debate within the party.

Does Moulton now fear more for his primary prospects with an increasingly dominant far-left base than he does for his daughters’ safety?

Both of these examples show the pressure Democrats face from their left flank and their refusal to distance themselves from a position the American people and most Democrats do not endorse.

Analyses of the 2024 election compellingly suggest that this could well have played a decisive role in the outcome.

Further, according to one PAC’s analysis, then-candidate Donald Trump’s "Kamala is for they/them, President Trump is for you" ad was so effective that it shifted the race almost 3 points in Trump’s favor, double his 1.5 percentage-point margin of victory in the popular vote.

The Trump campaign also pointed to the ad’s success with suburban women, a key demographic.

Make no mistake, Democrats are on the wrong side of the transgender debate given public opinion.

According to Gallup’s May 2025 survey, roughly 7 in 10 (69%) Americans – including 72% of independents and a plurality of Democrats – believe transgender athletes should only be allowed to play on sports teams that match their gender at birth.

Even among Democrats, support for allowing transgender athletes to play on teams that align with their current gender identity has dropped 10 points since 2021, now sitting below a majority, at 45% – despite party leadership’s embrace of the position.

Pew found that 49% of Americans favored requiring transgender people to use public bathrooms matching their sex at birth, while 26% opposed such policies. Americans continue to support laws that would require transgender people to use public restrooms that match their sex at birth, not the one to which they have transitioned.

However, when it came time to actually take a stand, no Democratic senators and just two Democratic House members supported a 2025 bill that sought to bar transgender athletes from competing against girls in K-12 schools.

To that end, neither Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer nor House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has been willing to take specific positions aligning with popular views favoring bans on transgender athletes competing in women’s sports.

Schumer has been the most explicitly opposed to the bans, calling them "despicable," while Jeffries has been more measured, simply saying that Democrats care about "fairness in sports" but refusing to support legislation seeking to bar the practice.

In Maine, Gov. Janet Mills has publicly clashed with the Trump administration over the state’s policy allowing transgender students to participate in school sports according to their gender identity.

Ultimately, despite broad public opposition to allowing transgender athletes to compete according to their gender identity – and a sharply divided Democratic electorate – the party’s elites continue supporting policies allowing this to occur, or at best equivocate.

At the same time, the data make clear the dilemma establishment Democrats face: continue mollifying the far left, or risk having the transgender issue hurt the party in general elections.

Put another way, the far left’s and DSA’s veto over Democratic policy puts the entire party on the wrong side of another key issue. And unfortunately, all signs point to this problem continuing to be a drag on Democratic support in the midterms and into the 2028 presidential election.

JONATHAN TURLEY: James Carville's latest tirade reveals the left's all-consuming politics of rage

In "Breaking Bad," the character Walter White explains to a major drug dealer why cheaper knockoffs of his signature Blue Sky methamphetamine are just not enough: "So… it’s grade-school tee-ball vs. the New York Yankees. Yours is just some tepid… off-brand, generic cola. What I’m making is classic Coke."

This week, veteran Democratic political strategist James Carville released his own uncut, undiluted classic product to a nation of rage addicts. Blue Sky rage.

What set off Carville was telling. He and others were outraged that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries met with Trump’s son-in-law and close adviser Jared Kushner to discuss areas of common ground. Such dialogue "with the enemy" is unthinkable in what I consider our "age of rage," particularly for someone like Carville. The political strategist who previously threatened that, once Democrats are back in power, Trump allies and institutions that enabled the president should be treated the same way as Nazi collaborators were after World War II.

Carville went into his signature berserker trance on his podcast, appropriately called the "Politics War Room": "These people are a pack of felons and traitors, and you do not meet with them! You do not meet with them. There’s only one thing you can do with people that you genuinely believe deep inside of every fabric of your body are a pack of thieves and a pack of traitors."

As usual, Carville delivers the line with the intensity of a man seconds away from a self-induced stroke. The message, however, is clear. Anyone seeking a middle ground or compromise is a traitor and will be dealt with the same way as Nazi collaborators once Democrats regain power.

What is really on display is rage politics. When you feed this addiction, you have to keep your product pure to avoid the pain of rage withdrawal. Carville is asking Democrats the same question as Walter White when asking whether they really want some cheap knockoff when they can have the real thing. Go with the classic. Go with the rage.

JEFFRIES' REPORTED MEETING WITH KUSHNER ABOUT POSSIBLE TRUMP COOPERATION DRAWS LEFT-WING BACKLASH

Over in what's become the social media safe space for liberals, BlueSky, Carville is being heralded as a prophet of furor. It was a perfect combination. BlueSky was created for liberals to remove themselves, particularly from X, because of conservatives returning to social media after years of censorship.

Many in the media saw BlueSky as the future, as they predicted the rapid death of X. It did not exactly work out that way.

Some liberal influencers proclaiming their abandonment of X never actually left, and many others have returned. BlueSky is now little more than a progressive boutique in comparison to X. It has an estimated 43 million users, as opposed to up to 600 million for X. (Monthly active users drop to around 27 million versus more than 300 million.)

In practice, BlueSky has developed a reputation for a largely liberal political culture and robust user-controlled moderation tools. It offers a protected zone for liberals to rave among themselves without the distraction of as many opposing views or voices.

It is a social platform that is premised on the same "you do not meet with them" screed offered by Carville.

Recently, the seasoned strategist has lashed out at the far left of his party, such as Democratic Socialists, over their radical agenda. However, he and other establishment figures are primarily objecting to the fact that it appears these radical policies will not succeed in the upcoming midterm elections and return them to power.

Carville appears to have no problem trashing the system to secure and maintain power. He previously called for packing the Supreme Court but notably told Democrats not to actually talk about it: "If the Democrats win the presidency and both houses of Congress, I think on day one, they should expand the Supreme Court to 13. F— it. Eat our dust. Don’t run on it. Don’t talk about it. Just do it."

LEFT-WING PODCASTER BLASTS SCHUMER, JEFFRIES AS 'FASCIST COLLABORATORS'

Other Democratic leaders continue to try to co-opt the mob for their own uses. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer dismissed questions about the DSA platform to eliminate the presidency, the Supreme Court, and the Senate. These are small differences, according to Schumer, compared with the need to win elections: "Not everyone has the same exact view on every single issue."

One of those small disagreements is the very existence of the institution that Schumer so desperately wants to lead.

Carville and Schumer, however, appear to agree on the key element of the political strategy of keeping the rage alive. The greatest threat to that strategy is any dialogue between Democrats and their Republican neighbors. If reason were to break out before the elections, all could be lost.

The effort reflects the fact that the rage in an age of rage eventually burns off. People look into a mirror on both sides and realize that we have become grotesque by yielding to the anger and hate. Once people start to talk with one another again, it is harder to hate so completely and blindly tap into the rage that hate traffickers need.

So Blue Sky rage is hitting the streets. The Classic Coke of hate is to be injected directly into the veins of a nation of rage addicts.

Norway's King Harald died Friday at 89, the Royal House of Norway announced.

"It is with deep grief that we announce that His Majesty King Harald has passed away," the royal palace said in a statement.

"King Harald died peacefully at Oslo University Hospital Rikshospitalet Friday 28 August at 6:35 AM," the statement continued.

New Hampshire man allegedly steals rescue truck from firefighters battling his burning home

A New Hampshire man whose home was going up in flames allegedly stole a rescue truck from responding firefighters, then crashed into a fire engine, drove over active hoses and narrowly missed three firefighters before fleeing the scene, authorities said.

Nestor Roman II, 30, of Dalton, faces multiple charges after authorities said he stole the rescue vehicle and later crashed several miles from his burning home.

According to New Hampshire State Police, troopers were responding around 3:50 a.m. Tuesday to assist Dalton Fire & Rescue with a house fire when they learned that a Whitefield Fire & Rescue vehicle had been stolen.

Dalton Fire & Rescue said crews had been dispatched to a fully involved structure fire near Faraway Road and Mountain Road, with several neighboring departments responding as mutual aid.

As firefighters battled the blaze, Roman allegedly got into Whitefield Fire & Rescue's F550 rescue truck and drove away shortly before 5 a.m., according to the fire department.

NY POLICE CAR CATCHES FIRE, TROOPERS INJURED IN 3-CAR COLLISION

The department said Roman allegedly drove around Whitefield's E3 fire engine, nearly striking two firefighters and narrowly missing a third who could have been pinned between the two large trucks.

Roman then allegedly crashed into the E3 and a small pickup while "forcing their way onto the road ahead," according to the department.

State police said Roman drove over multiple water supply lines while fleeing. Dalton Fire & Rescue said two charged hoses being used to fight the fire were run over but were not damaged.

Roman also allegedly struck a firefighter's personal vehicle farther down the road and damaged neighboring property, according to fire officials. State police said wooden fences at two separate properties were also damaged.

The escape came to an end several miles away after a Dalton homeowner reported that the stolen rescue vehicle had crashed on their property, according to state police.

The homeowner also reported that Roman was allegedly attempting to take items from the porch.

Troopers arrived moments later and found Roman on the porch. Police said he was uncooperative but was ultimately taken into custody.

Roman was charged with three felony counts of reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, burglary and two counts of theft by unauthorized taking.

He also faces misdemeanor charges of obstructing government administration, four counts of conduct after an accident, resisting arrest and detention, driving after suspension subsequent and two counts of driving over a fire hose without consent, according to state police.

Despite sustaining significant damage, Whitefield's E3 was able to remain in operation, and firefighters ultimately extinguished the flames.

Fire officials said the house was a "complete loss."

Federal judge again blocks Trump's mail ballot order just before midterms

A federal judge on Thursday again blocked President Donald Trump's executive order limiting mail-in voting, halting the directive, at least for now, for a second time with only about a week before the first mail ballots are expected to be sent out for the upcoming midterm elections.

U.S. District Court Judge Indira Talwani issued a 14-day temporary restraining order blocking enforcement of the new U.S. Postal Service rule implementing the order.

The ruling is likely to be quickly appealed and could soon make its way back to the Supreme Court, days after the nation's highest court handed down a procedural decision that allowed the administration to move forward.

Thursday's ruling comes after Democrats and voting rights groups refiled their lawsuits to comply with the recent Supreme Court decision. The high court did not address the legality of Trump’s order, only finding that Talwani had acted too soon.

The administration has now issued a formal rule governing how states must prepare and submit mail ballots for USPS acceptance, effectively taking the legal fight back to square one.

The case will have a significant impact on November's midterms, as nearly one-third of Americans vote by mail and election officials argue there is not enough time to amend their systems to comply with the new directives.

The Postal Service said it will not accept outbound mail ballots if states do not submit required recipient information through its portal and meet the rule’s envelope and barcode requirements.

"Plaintiff states have neither time nor funds to design new mail ballots, seek approval of the new designs, order production of mail ballots, update their own election management systems, train election officials to use the USPS portal and upload citizen data to the portal, all before the midterms," Talwani wrote in Thursday's ruling.

A hearing in the case is scheduled for Sept. 3.

USPS WOULDN'T DELIVER BALLOTS IN STATES THAT REFUSE TO FORK OVER MAIL-IN VOTER INFO UNDER PROPOSED RULE

Democrats and voting rights groups argue that the Postal Service rule and Trump’s order are unconstitutional. They say the Constitution grants states, as well as Congress in some cases, the authority to establish election rules, noting that the president and Postal Service do not have that power. USPS, however, says the rule does not determine voter eligibility or compare submissions with state voter rolls, and that states retain control over who may vote by mail.

"This rule is a clear attempt by the federal government to interfere in elections it has no power to control. Today, a federal court halted it before this administration could wreak havoc on our elections," New York Attorney General Letitia James, one of two dozen Democrat attorneys general who filed one of the lawsuits, said in a statement.

Trump’s first executive order, which was issued last year, was blocked on those grounds.

The order attempted to change election procedures, including by requiring additional physical documentation to register to vote, such as a U.S. passport, a REAL ID or military ID indicating U.S. citizenship or a government-issued photo ID accompanied by proof of citizenship.

Trump has long criticized mail-in voting, which he falsely attributes to his 2020 election loss to former President Joe Biden. But Trump himself uses mail-in voting to cast his ballot as a registered voter in Florida.

According to a 2025 report by the Brookings Institution, mail-in voting fraud was recorded in only about four cases out of every 10 million mail ballots cast, contradicting claims by Trump and his allies that election fraud is widespread. The analysis covered general elections from 2016 through 2022 and relied in part on a database that its source says is not comprehensive.

Trump issued the executive order targeting mail-in voting in March, leading to legal challenges.

In a separate case, a federal judge in Washington declined earlier this year to block the order at that stage, finding the challenge premature because the administration had not yet implemented the directive.

The Supreme Court struck down one of those holds earlier this week.

Talwani removed the second injunction a short time later. The plaintiffs then refiled their challenges, pointing to the Postal Service’s publishing of its final rule, in an effort to build a stronger case.

Sharing fiery views at work about the Massachusetts mom accused of killing her three young children could get you canned and still be legal, according to an expert on employment law who is following the case.

Lindsay Clancy, 36, is accused of strangling her children — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months — and trying to end her own life by dropping from a second-floor window after sending her husband to pick up takeout and something from a pharmacy, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office.

The case has drawn national attention, pro-Clancy protesters to the courthouse and impassioned discussions about who is responsible online after her defense argued she is not guilty by reason of insanity or mental defect.

"That disciplinary measure, it's not on its face illegal if you get fired for starting, you know, fiery speech about Lindsay Clancy and how you support her," said Nicole Brenecki, a New York-based attorney who specializes in employment law.

Still, Brenecki warned, a fired employee could still raise legal concerns if their Clancy-related statements were used as a pretext to get rid of them for other reasons.

"If a case like this came to the court system, it would not be viewed in the context of the free speech alone," she said. "It would also be viewed in the contexts of employment laws."

As a "general rule," however, she said employers would be allowed to prohibit such discussions about the case.

Other considerations would involve whether the speech took place during working hours, disrupted business operations or whether there was discrimination against protected groups involved in the firing.

"Every single case in our court system is very highly and intensely fact-based," she said. "So we cannot give...any specific explanation as to whether something would be illegal or not. We have to look at the facts."

Still, Brenecki advised against arguing over strong opinions at the water cooler.

"If you truly want to voice them in a workplace, then be prepared to have to find greener pastures," she said.

There could be other consequences as well. Earlier this month, an attorney named Alex Thomason said in a TikTok video of his own that he has already spoken with men involved in custody disputes with women who have been posting the "solidarity hold a heart thing" for Clancy.

In one instance, he said, he is looking to have a woman's visitation rights stripped away.

"I want to be able to have a forensic psychiatrist interview this woman just to see how wack-a-doodle she is, and we're gonna use her TikTok posts," he said.

Suspected human smugglers lead cops on 100-mph chase before bailing and allegedly committing armed carjacking

Two suspected human smugglers led authorities on a 100-mph chase in Texas on Thursday before bailing out of their vehicle, with one allegedly carjacking a civilian at gunpoint, authorities said.

Helicopter video from U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Air and Marine Operations shows the high-speed pursuit unfolding along Interstate 10 in Fabens.

Authorities are seen pursuing the suspected human smugglers before their vehicle was disabled and both occupants fled on foot.

An official can be heard over radio communications saying the vehicle's front right tire may have been damaged by a spike strip.

Moments later, the vehicle slows down and two occupants jump out and run.

"Bail out, bail out, bail out!" someone is heard shouting in the video.

The two men are then seen running across the highway, with one quickly apprehended by a member of the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The other suspect allegedly carjacked a civilian at gunpoint before he was also later taken into custody, authorities said.

Authorities have not released information about how many people were allegedly being smuggled or their nationalities.

"Outstanding coordination by Border Patrol, AMO, HSI and Texas DPS," CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott posted on X alongside video of the pursuit.

"Suspected human smugglers hit 100+ mph and bailed out when their vehicle was disabled," Scott continued. "One then carjacked a civilian at gunpoint. Smugglers risk lives for profit. We will keep taking them down."

The incident took place near a Speedway gas station at around 9:16 a.m., according to KFOX14.

The suspects are expected to face human smuggling and evading arrest or detention charges, the station reported.

As Angel Reese reacted to a missed potential game-winning layup in the final seconds of regulation, cameras captured Caitlin Clark smiling in the background as the Dream forward was consoled by teammate Rhyne Howard.

It was not immediately clear what prompted Clark’s reaction, but social media quickly turned the clip into a viral meme.

On this week’s episode of the "Post Moves" podcast, Boston addressed Clark’s viral moment alongside co-host and Basketball Hall of Famer Candace Parker.

During a discussion about the Aug. 16 Fever-Dream matchup, Parker mentioned the much-discussed moment. "Did you see Caitlin’s reaction to the Dream’s missed putback?" the three-time WNBA champion asked the Fever center.

"... In real time you see nothing but we [the Fever] saw it after and I was like, ‘Here we go,’" Boston said.

Boston then addressed the online reaction, adding: "No ‘cause like, we just—peace, love and happiness. We will never be free!"

Parker also suggested the Fever have been involved in some of the WNBA season’s biggest viral moments, including Sophie Cunningham’s pointing gesture and Paige Bueckers telling Clark to calm down. She added that Reese has had also had her share of meme-worthy moments.

Tony Romo hit with several new citations after OWI arrest, further jeopardizing return to NFL broadcasts

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo made headlines in July when he was arrested on charges of allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Romo was stopped on a highway, then did not perform well when given field sobriety tests by police.

He was released, and is supposed to appear in court in September. Almost immediately afterward, CBS Sports announced that they would put him on leave from broadcasting duties "until further notice."

Now, he's facing several additional citations in Milwaukee related to that arrest, per a new report from the New York Post. According to newly filed court records, Romo now faces "first-offense operating while intoxicated, unsafe passing on the right side, and possessing open intoxicants inside his vehicle," the report says.

A spokesperson for Romo issued a statement saying that he "accepts full responsibility" for what happened and reiterating that it’s a civil, not criminal, matter.

"Tony accepts full responsibility for his actions and has taken proactive steps to ensure that this isolated civil matter is properly resolved. We are working with local authorities to bring this matter to a close and we are communicating with CBS about next steps."

After the arrest, many speculated that his time in the CBS broadcast booth may be over. Boomer Esiason said it’s likely he’ll have to move on and get things "straightened out."

"I hope you can respect and appreciate this is a personnel matter and a legal one for Tony, so I can’t speak to that aspect of things," he said.

California authorities identify final unknown victim of ‘Happy Face Killer’ Keith Jesperson after 34 years

The final unidentified victim of notorious serial killer Keith Hunter Jesperson, known as the "Happy Face Killer," has been identified more than three decades after her body was discovered along a California highway, authorities announced Thursday.

The Riverside County District Attorney's Office identified the woman, long known to investigators only as "Claudia," as Lydia Jane Wade McWhorter of Texas, after DNA testing confirmed a connection to a member of her maternal family.

McWhorter's body was discovered Aug. 30, 1992, along Highway 95 about seven miles north of Blythe, California.

Jesperson, a long-haul truck driver who confessed to killing eight women across multiple states, later admitted killing her.

Jesperson told investigators he knew the woman as "Claudia," but authorities were unable to determine whether that was her real name.

The identification comes after Riverside County investigators publicly renewed their effort to identify McWhorter in 2024, when genetic genealogy had connected the unknown victim to relatives on her father's side but had not produced the maternal connection needed to confirm her identity.

Fox News Digital reported at the time that DNA testing had identified Summer Gonzales as the victim's paternal half-sister. Gonzales said she wanted to learn her sister's real name and eventually lay her to rest with family.

An investigative lead ultimately brought the cold case team to one of McWhorter's direct maternal relatives, according to the district attorney's office. Investigators then identified a possible genetic connection to another member of the maternal family.

A DNA sample confirmed that connection earlier this week, allowing investigators to positively identify McWhorter nearly 34 years after her body was found, authorities said.

"When people take the time to share information, submit a tip or simply pay attention to what is happening in their community, it can make a real difference. You may not know where a piece of information will lead, but our investigators will follow it. Most importantly, I hope this will finally bring closure to Lydia’s family."

The district attorney's Division of Victim Services is working with McWhorter's family as they decide how to honor her and lay her to rest.

He pleaded guilty to McWhorter's murder in Riverside County on Jan. 8, 2010, and was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.

He is serving multiple life sentences in Oregon.

With McWhorter's identification, Riverside County's cold case team has now closed the final unidentified-victim case tied to the murders for which Jesperson was convicted.

New York Gov Hochul rejects Trump's 'Lake America' renaming with blunt message

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul on Thursday responded to President Donald Trump's executive order to rename Lake Ontario to "Lake America" amid his ongoing trade war with Canada, saying her state would continue using the old name.

"New York won’t be calling it that," Hochul, a Democrat, wrote on X.

Trump's order, directs the Interior Department and Board on Geographic Names to update federal records and provide guidance so federal references reflect the new name.

But Canada and international bodies are not required to adopt the new name.

"The name Lake Ontario comes from the Wendat word Ontari’io, which, appropriately, means 'the lake is beautiful, the lake is big.' The name is more than 400 years old, predating both the Confederation of Canada and the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America," Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said in a statement.

"We know that America is changing. Their trading relationships, their foreign policies, their national monuments, their hydronyms. Canadians also know that naming reality means calling it Lake Ontario — then, now and always," he added.

U.S. states are also not bound by the order and can continue using "Lake Ontario" on state maps, highway signs and tourism materials. Hochul, Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers and Vermont Gov. Phil Scott were among state leaders who criticized or mocked the move.

"And I just renamed Lake Michigan Lake Wisconsin. See, I can sign napkins that say things, too," Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers, a Democrat, wrote on X alongside a video of himself writing "Lake Wisconsin" on a McDonald’s paper napkin and signing the bottom.

Vermont Gov. Phil Scott, a Republican, called Trump's move to rename the lake over the trade feud "petty and disappointing."

"We should be at the negotiating table, finding a path forward that strengthens both the U.S. and Canadian economies. Further escalating tensions does nothing to help American or Canadian families and businesses," Scott said.

The name Lake Ontario is also commonly traced to an Indigenous word translated as "lake of shining waters," and includes around 5.6 million Americans and Canadians in its watershed, according to the Center for Great Lakes Literacy. The lake borders Canada's Ontario province and New York, connecting the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean through the St. Lawrence Seaway.

Hochul has criticized Trump for the trade war with Canada, saying earlier this week that the president is "treating our allies as enemies" and that "American families continue to suffer because of it."

New York is among many states expected to be hit hard by the trade war with the U.S.'s northern neighbor. U.S. goods and services traded with Canada totaled an estimated $872.3 billion last year, according to U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer's office.

Carney said the Canadian government would impose retaliatory tariffs on the U.S. beginning Sept. 8 in response to the Trump administration’s new 50% tariffs on about $20 billion worth of Canadian goods, which took effect earlier this month.

The prime minister said Canada "will match Washington's new tariffs dollar for dollar in order to protect Canadian workers, farmers, families, and businesses."

Coming back from commercial during the Browns-Patriots game, Uncle Al dropped his cutting-edge political commentary on Donald Trump’s executive order renaming Lake Ontario to "Lake America" amid the ongoing U.S.-Canada trade war.

Fired Stars and Stripes staffers sue Pentagon, allege retaliation and First Amendment violation

The three Stars and Stripes staffers who were fired last week over alleged insubordination have filed a lawsuit against the Pentagon over their terminations, alleging they are facing "imminent retaliation and termination in violation of their First Amendment and statutory rights."

"Defendants are attempting to fire Plaintiffs for speaking up as private citizens in support of the press’s freedom to cover military operations, its need to reach all servicepersons, and in retaliation for their publication of a news report on deteriorating conditions aboard the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln during its extended tour of duty in the Mid-East," the lawsuit filed Thursday stated. "This action seeks to prevent the blatant violation of the First Amendment rights of these journalists and challenges the U.S. Department of Defense’s extraordinary censorship efforts in violation of both the First Amendment and DoD regulations and policies."

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., was brought by ousted Stars and Stripes editor-in-chief Erik Slavin, longtime publisher Max Lederer and Middle East reporter Lara Korte.

PENTAGON FIRES LONGTIME PUBLISHER, EDITOR, REPORTER FROM MILITARY NEWSPAPER STARS AND STRIPES

The firings stem from Slavin and Korte's unauthorized participation in a "CBS Sunday Morning" segment that aired last month about the Pentagon's efforts to overhaul the paper and Lederer's refusal to fire them at the direction of Pentagon leadership.

According to the lawsuit, the trio allege Pentagon leadership "understood these interview statements expressed personal opinions, and therefore took no immediate action, despite their displeasure" and that it wasn't until Stars and Stripes published its report on the alleged strife aboard the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln that the Pentagon's stance had shifted.

The lawsuit notes that Pentagon leadership demanded Lederer to fire Slavin and Korte just one day after the report was published.

Listed as the defendants in the lawsuit are The Pentagon, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell and his principal deputy assistant Andrew Brey.

"Our goal is to protect the rights of service members and their families to a free and independent press," Slavin, Lederer and Korte said in a statement to Fox News Digital. "Stars and Stripes has served them for generations, and that independence is essential to keeping military communities fully and accurately informed."

"This lawsuit is about safeguarding that mission and ensuring our civilian and military journalists can do their jobs without retaliation," they added.

A Pentagon spokesman declined to comment.

The Pentagon kicked off 2026 by announcing its overhaul of the long-running newspaper.

"The Department of War is returning Stars & Stripes to its original mission: reporting for our warfighters," Parnell posted on X in January. "We are bringing Stars & Stripes into the 21st century. We will modernize its operations, refocus its content away from woke distractions that syphon morale, and adapt it to serve a new generation of service members.

"Stars & Stripes will be custom tailored to our warfighters. It will focus on warfighting, weapons systems, fitness, lethality, survivability, and ALL THINGS MILITARY," the statement continued. "No more repurposed DC gossip columns; no more Associated Press reprints. Stars & Stripes has a proud legacy of reporting news that’s important to our service members. The Department of War is committed to ensuring the outlet continues to reflect that proud legacy."

The Pentagon previously fired the Stars and Stripes ombudsman in April after being an outspoken critic of the Trump administration's oversight of the paper.

Maine meteorologist suffers giggle attack on live TV after prank backfires spectacularly

A local meteorologist is experiencing viral fame after he was caught on live television suddenly breaking into an uncontrollable fit of giggles that grew increasingly hysterical as he struggled to keep his composure.

Patrick Osborn, who was delivering a regularly scheduled weather report on Maine news station WABI, left viewers completely stunned Sunday morning as he repeatedly tried, and failed, to hold back his laughter.

In the video, Osborn was seen gasping for breath as he blurted out temperatures between chuckles, repeatedly apologizing before the laughter finally rendered his speech completely incomprehensible.

The laughing fit stretched on for about a minute, with Osborn stepping off camera before returning and eventually tossing back to a colleague.

He revealed that the laughter was triggered by a prank he had attempted to play on fellow anchor Josh Gabbard, only for the joke to backfire on him.

During a commercial break, Osborn said he played a short Charlie Brown video for its sound effects but failed to realize the clip was actually an hour-long compilation that periodically replayed the sound every few minutes.

He said the audio then unexpectedly played again while he was starting his weather segment, almost instantly sending him into hysterical laughter.

"I was just trying to keep it together but I couldn't. Like, when you're not supposed to laugh, you're in an environment when you can't laugh, and you're trying to hold it back, that just makes it 10 times worse," he said.

Osborn added: "I tried to get through it," but "Josh had to leave the studio."

Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton has little patience for careless sports TV analysis, especially from former NFL players who should know what goes into evaluating a quarterback.

So when former offensive lineman-turned-TV analyst Geoff Schwartz mischaracterized Bo Nix on national television this week, Payton responded directly.

Schwartz appeared Wednesday on "First Things First" as the panel debated whether Nix was primed for a major second-year jump or likely to level off. Schwartz argued Nix was still essentially the same quarterback he had been in college.

That makes Schwartz’s assessment difficult to defend. Nix may not be a finished product, and questions about his long-term ceiling are fair. But claiming he does not push the ball downfield ignores how Denver has used him.

Dodgers owner Mark Walter denies reports, says team payroll is supported by revenue: 'There has been no fraud'

The Los Angeles Dodgers have become baseball's villain in the minds of opposing fans, thanks to their criminal dedication to trying to win more games. And if there's one thing fans won't tolerate, it's trying to win more games instead of putting profits first.

But fans who have that view were handed an enormous gift recently when news broke that the team's principal owner, Mark Walter, was under investigation by the federal government. Walter is alleged to have used investment funds to make loans directly to other businesses. Some of which were also part of Walter's portfolio of businesses.

That's not illegal, but there are specific requirements for disclosure and investor exposure for such private-credit deals, and it's again alleged that Walter's organizations did not accurately describe the scale and scope of those loans. The scale of these loans is such that it's believed Walter may be looking to bring in $16 billion to $20 billion in order to fully settle them.

The assumption of many in the anti-Dodgers baseball fan community quickly turned to an unsubstantiated belief that the team's high payroll was supported by loan fraud. That their deferred contracts were to allow Walter to skate by without paying for star players. And that the World Series wins deserved some sort of asterisk, for an inexplicable reason.

Well, Walter's company, TWG Global addressed those comments and concerns in a new statement this week, flatly denying the rampant conspiracy theories.

"Over the past several weeks, multipronged attacks against TWG have been advanced by unnamed sources with self-serving interests that have been reported in the media. It is important to set the record straight," it said. "TWG stands firmly behind the integrity of its business and remains focused on continuing to deliver value to its stakeholders."

More specifically, the statement says that "despite what has been reported, there has been no fraud."

"There is no victim here. No one has been harmed, and no one has claimed they were harmed," the statement says. "TWG is committed to working with the U.S. Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission to resolve their inquiries."

With regard to the Dodgers, TWG was even more direct.

"The Dodgers have the highest revenue in baseball," they added, "and it significantly exceeds the team's obligations to its players."

That's always been obvious. The Dodgers reportedly became the first baseball team to generate over a billion dollars in revenue in a single season. At least a billion. Even including luxury tax penalties and player payroll, they're spending roughly 55% of that income. Not to mention the biggest question; if Walter was committed to using insurance company loan stop make himself richer through the Dodgers, why would he not just pocket that extra income instead of spending more money on players?

He’s committed to fraud, but he’s willing to sacrifice, say, an extra $100 million to $150 million a year in income just to try to win?

As for Walter selling the Los Angeles Lakers, the company explained that he was "approached" by the eventual buyers, and that the sale was made out of opportunity, not necessity.

None of this will matter to those who have made their minds up, but it's yet another example of how the rush to find a villain can create false, inaccurate narratives that don't hold up to scrutiny.

Dolly Parton's legacy of putting books into the hands of children is receiving a surge of support in Alabama after the country music icon's death, with hundreds of residents backing a specialty license plate that would help fund her Imagination Library across the state.

Parton died Tuesday at age 80. Beyond a career that produced classics, including "Jolene," "9 to 5" and "I Will Always Love You," Parton built an extensive philanthropic legacy, the Imagination Library being one of her signature initiatives.

Kaelyn Christian, Alabama state director for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, told Fox News Digital the proposed plate had roughly 40 commitments at the beginning of the week but had surged to more than 550 as of Wednesday afternoon, putting it more than halfway toward the 1,000 needed for the plate to go into production.

"It's exploded over the last 24 hours really," Christian said.

Christian said roughly $50 from each plate would go back to the Imagination Library program in the Alabama county where the vehicle is registered. Drivers would pay the fee annually, creating an ongoing source of support for local programs and an easy way to "almost set up a recurring donation to your local Imagination Library," she said.

Parton launched the Imagination Library in 1995 in honor of her father, who never had the opportunity to learn to read or write. Registered children receive a free book every month until they turn 5, with children enrolled from birth eligible to receive up to 60 books.

Since the program's founding, more than 300 million books have been shared around the world.

Christian said about 114,000 Alabama children are enrolled in the program, and registrations had also "gone crazy in the last 24 hours."

She said the money generated by one specialty plate would cover the cost of providing books to two children every month for almost two years, or roughly 48 books.

Beyond the numbers, Christian said part of Parton's legacy can be found in children growing up excited to find a new book in their mailbox every month.

Christian's son, who is nearly 5, is enrolled in the program.

Christian also recalled speaking with a mother who wanted to commit to the license plate because her children were about to graduate from the Imagination Library, and she wanted to help provide the same experience to another child.

She said the program can also have a lasting impact on families who otherwise may not have been able to afford books for their children.

Christian recalled hearing from one family that told her, "We couldn't afford books for our home, and, so, we enrolled in this program."

"Now my middle school child reads 200 books a year," the parent told her, according to Christian.

She described those partners as the "boots on the ground," responsible for finding and enrolling children, promoting the program in their communities and raising money to help fund it.

"I think it really gives them the security that they will be able to continue their local program long term," Christian said.

Parton died Tuesday at age 80 after a brief battle with cancer. Her death sent shock waves around the world, millions paying tribute to the country music legend.

On Tuesday's installment of "Laura Coates Live," a montage of photos appeared onscreen as CNN correspondent Shimon Prokupecz was reporting live from Nashville.

Prosecutor says he has portion of Josh Jacobs' domestic incident with ex-girlfriend on video

The District Attorney who charged Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs with two domestic misdemeanors on Thursday initially released a statement about reviewing new available evidence, and now we know that evidence is surveillance video related to the alleged battery.

After police investigated the incident at the scene of Jacobs' alleged battery on his ex-girlfriend, they later did more legwork according to District Attorney David L. Lasee.

And they uncovered a security camera in Jacobs' garage where he and his ex-girlfriend allegedly had a physical altercation.

JOSH JACOBS FACES TWO MISDEMEANOR CHARGES AFTER MAY ARREST

The incident report from Lasee's office says ANM, as they are identifying the player's ex-girlfriend, told officers as she was trying to exit the garage door to get outside, "Jacobs grabbed her and threw her to the ground and she struck her head, suffering an injury," the report reads.

"Jacobs then took her phone from her while she was on the ground. ANM laid on the ground for a while and then struggled to walk back into the house."

Lasee's incident report says this is on video.

The "surveillance footage from the camera system within the garage of the Tretni Mar residence from May 23, 2026, between 8:30 a.m. and 8:38 a.m. corroborates the relevant portions of ANM's statement that one would expect to have seen on video, including both ANM and Jacobs departing the residence in their respective vehicles and returning to the residence, as well as their actions on the security camera in the garage.

"The surveillance video further shows Jacobs took ANM's phone while she was on the floor of the garage, and approximately 40 seconds later, Jacobs returns to the garage and appears to damage ANM's phone."

The video is not available for independent inspection at this time. It will obviously be used as evidence in the case against Jacobs.

He was charged Thursday with one count of misdemeanor battery and one count of criminal damage to property.

Jacobs turned himself in to police on May 26, three days after the incident at his Hobart, Wisconsin home.

So far, the case has been tried in the court of public opinion as a he-said versus she-said account, with Jacobs enlisting a legal team that claims he will be exonerated of the allegations.

But if the District Attorney's office indeed has a video that prosecutors say shows Jacobs getting physical with his ex-girlfriend in that garage, his legal situation will be much worse and his status as an NFL player could be at risk.

The NFL, which studies practices, meetings, and games on tape, obviously frowns upon video of a battery by one of its employees and has a history of separating from such episodes. Ray Rice's career ended when a 2014 video of him striking his then-fiancée, Janay Palmer, in the face during an argument became public.

The video Lasee viewed before deciding to charge Jacobs comes with its own backstory outlined in the DA's incident report:

"Your complainant reviewed a follow up report from Investigator Van Lanen of the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department received on August 6, 2026, and a digital forensic examination report prepared by Frank Angel for the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, received on August 13, 2026.

"Those reports relate an on or about July 27 and 28, 2026, of recovered electronic devices from Jacobs’s residence, including components of a video surveillance system, as well as cellular phones from both Jacobs and ANM.

"Angel’s report outlines the process used to conduct the forensic exam of the devices, and explained that the recovery of video files from the surveillance system was complex and took several weeks, culminating in a final verification on July 21, 2026.

"Based on the foregoing, the complainant believes this complaint to be true and correct."

The Packers released a statement about Thursday's charges.

"We are aware of the charges brought against Josh Jacobs," the team said in a statement. "We will continue to cooperate with the NFL as we work through the process. We will have no further comment at this time."

The NFL's investigation of the entire episode is ongoing and Jacobs is subject to discipline under the Personal Conduct Policy and may even be placed on the commissioner's exempt list, which would mean he'd get paid but cannot play.

Mark Ruffalo accused of antisemitism by Hollywood insiders over Paramount merger remarks

Hollywood producers Haim Saban, Lawrence Bender and Teddy Schwarzman accused actor Mark Ruffalo of "simple antisemitism" in an online statement issued by a group of nearly 1,000 industry insiders on Tuesday.

They argued the actor invoked tropes about Jewish wealth and power while attacking Paramount leadership and its proposed $111 billion merger with Warner Bros. Discovery.

"This is not commentary on a merger. It is not a criticism of a government. It is simple antisemitism, where Jewish executives are portrayed as a secretive and powerful wealth-hoarding elite delighting in mass death," the group, which calls itself The Brigade, told The Hollywood Reporter.

MARK RUFFALO FIRES BACK AT PARAMOUNT OVER 'APPALLING' ANTISEMITISM ACCUSATION TIED TO ELLISON MERGER CRITICISM

Paramount responded to Fox News Digital Thursday after being asked about The Brigade’s statement and Ruffalo’s denial that his remarks were antisemitic.

"We stand by the statement," Paramount spokesperson Melissa Zukerman said, adding Paramount had no further comment.

Elizabeth Barcohana, the California Republican Party’s Jewish engagement chair, told Fox News Digital Thursday that Ruffalo’s prominence in the opposition to the merger reflected Hollywood’s liberal political activism, while praising The Brigade for challenging him.

"Ruffalo as an anti-merger spokesman is an odd choice given his extremist rhetoric that has completely discredited him with rational people," Barcohana said.

"He is an activist more than an actor (indeed maybe that’s one in the same). I applaud The Brigade for organizing an oppositional force against the explosion of antisemitism within Hollywood and standing up to Ruffalo’s Israel Derangement Syndrome."

The Brigade described itself as a group of nearly 1,000 members, friends and allies of the Jewish community working in entertainment. The statement's signatories also included Ram Bergman, Matti Leshem, Anthony Bregman, Micah Green and Lynn Harris.

Ruffalo rejected Paramount's earlier accusation in a statement provided to Fox News Digital Saturday, maintaining his objections targeted political and corporate decisions rather than Jewish people.

The Brigade directly rejected that distinction, arguing that Ruffalo's focus on Israel while targeting Jewish executives imported a conspiracy narrative into a corporate debate.

"Singling out Jewish executives and describing them in terms lifted from centuries-old antisemitic conspiracy theories, while invoking Israel as the frame for that attack, is antisemitic," The Brigade said.

The dispute began after Ruffalo shared an video from August of Safra Catz, an Oracle executive vice chair and Paramount board member, discussing technology Oracle used to assist Israel after the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas terrorist attacks.

Ruffalo linked Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, the father of Paramount CEO David Ellison, to financing behind the proposed acquisition.

Paramount responded that Ruffalo had crossed from criticism of the transaction into prejudice and said it does not tolerate bias against anyone.

Hollywood figures have split over the dispute. John Cusack publicly backed Ruffalo over the weekend, while "Hacks" actress Hannah Einbinder called the antisemitism allegation ludicrous. The Simon Wiesenthal Center sided with Paramount, commending the company for responding.

3 illegal aliens arrested in major Virginia child exploitation sting released on bond

Three of nine men arrested in a Virginia child exploitation sting are illegal aliens with lengthy criminal histories, the Department of Homeland Security confirmed to Fox News. The three men have since been released on bond.

The suspects allegedly traveled to Fairfax County to meet with minors for sexual encounters after engaging in sexually explicit conversations online with undercover detectives posing as juveniles, police said Wednesday.

The three illegal aliens were identified as Reyben Leono Sanchez Hernandez, 21, of El Salvador; Wilmer Alexander Aguilar Cruz, 28, of El Salvador; and Henry Adalberto Flores Herrera, 39, DHS told Fox News.

DHS said the three men were previously caught illegally entering the U.S. before being released during the Obama administration. DHS blamed the administration’s immigration policies and Fairfax County’s "sanctuary" policies for what it described as an influx of criminal illegal aliens.

According to DHS, Sanchez Hernandez’s criminal history includes solicitation of prostitution from a minor. Fairfax County police also said he was charged with driving on a suspended license.

Sanchez Hernandez was caught illegally entering the U.S. near the Rio Grande Valley Sept. 25, 2013, officials said. He was released into the country about a month later.

ICE placed a detainer on Sanchez Hernandez with the Fairfax County Detention Center July 29, officials said. However, police said he has since been released on a $3,000 secured bond.

DHS TORCHES SPANBERGER AFTER ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT CHARGED WITH CHILD SEX ABUSE AT BABYSITTER'S HOUSE GRANTED BOND

Aguilar Cruz was caught by Border Patrol near Hidalgo, Texas, in late 2012 before being released into the country during the Obama administration about two weeks later, according to DHS.

His criminal history includes allegations involving computer solicitation of a child, indecent liberties, proposed sex acts, sodomy, extortion and threats to burn, DHS said.

On April 27, 2019, police in Prince William County, Virginia, arrested Aguilar Cruz on charges of threatening to bomb or burn and making a threat in writing. ICE arrested him two days later, and he was released on bond on Aug. 9, 2019, according to DHS.

ICE placed a detainer on Aguilar Cruz with the Fairfax County Detention Center July 31, officials said. However, local police said he has since been released on $3,000 secured bond.

Flores Herrera’s criminal history includes felony solicitation of prostitution from a minor, sexual exploitation of a minor, driving under the influence of liquor and a traffic offense, according to DHS.

ICE placed a detainer on Flores Herrera with the Fairfax County Detention Center July 17, officials said. He has since been released on $5,000 secured bond.

DHS did not disclose how Flores Herrera entered the country.

A DHS spokesperson blamed former presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris for policies the department said paved the way for millions of unvetted illegal aliens to enter the U.S.

"These criminal illegal aliens were hand-delivered to Fairfax County communities by President Obama, who, like Sleepy Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, unleashed millions of unvetted illegal aliens into American communities and abused the law to do so," the spokesperson said.

"President Trump and Secretary Mullin are now enforcing the law, arresting illegal aliens who have no right to be in our country and have reversed Democrats’ deadly catch and release policy."

The department also urged Democratic Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger to increase cooperation with ICE to turn over detained immigrants.

"Under Governor Spanberger, Virginia has become a hotbed of illegal alien crime. During her first days in office, Governor Spanberger signed executive orders banning state cooperation with ICE as well as terminating 287(g) state and local agreements," the department said.

RNC threatens legal action against New Jersey officials over noncitizens on voter rolls: 'On notice'

The Republican National Committee is escalating its fight with New Jersey election officials over voter roll records, threatening legal action as it seeks information related to noncitizens found on the state's rolls.

The RNC sent formal National Voter Registration Act violation notices Wednesday to New Jersey's secretary of state and election officials in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Somerset and Union counties.

The committee is seeking records related to noncitizen removals, citizenship verification efforts and other voter roll maintenance activities. Officials have until Sept. 15 to produce the records or potentially face litigation, according to the RNC.

NEW JERSEY GOVERNMENT UNDER CONGRESSIONAL INVESTIGATION AFTER EXPLOSIVE REVELATIONS ON NONCITIZEN VOTERS

"Democrat (Gov.) Mikie Sherrill admitted what the RNC already uncovered through public records requests: Noncitizens are on New Jersey's voter rolls," RNC Chairman Joe Gruters said in an RNC release. "Now, election officials are refusing to turn over records explaining how it happened.

"Voters deserve answers, and the RNC is putting officials on notice: Comply with the law, hand over the records or face legal action."

The RNC claims Bergen County records identified 134 noncitizens removed from New Jersey voter rolls between January 2023 and August 2026.

Of those, 91 registrations were linked to the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC), according to the committee.

Sherrill's administration has separately disclosed that a software error at the MVC improperly registered approximately 6,600 people to vote between June 2023 and June 2024, before she took office.

Her administration said approximately 5,100 people affected by the error were removed from the voter rolls because they had no separate registration or attestation of eligibility.

Another approximately 1,450 registrations were changed to rejected status pending further review by county election officials.

The state said approximately 340 people newly registered because of the software error voted. It also identified approximately 220 people affected by the error who voted but had previous registrations or separate attestations indicating they may have been validly registered.

Sherrill said county officials had been directed to resolve remaining cases before the November election.

"I never was into it unless it was, like, someone was married or dating someone, and then I would watch it," Kylie said, reports the NY Post. "It wasn’t until I went to my first Knicks game that I fell in love."

She knows how special it was for the Knicks to win an NBA championship just a couple of seasons into her fandom and for her to get to witness it all courtside.

"For them to win, I mean, I'm the luckiest Knicks fan 'cause I feel like I am a new Knicks fan … and I got to see them win!," Kylie admitted.

You can save your breath if you think she didn’t put enough time in as a fan. She more than made up for the lack of hours rooting for the team by sacrificing her style while her feet were on the hardwood.

She often wore a big shirt or jacket due to the difficulties of being a fan with a big butt. She dipped into her closet filled with blue and orange to make sure her crack wasn't out during the games.

"When you have a big, fat, juicy ass, and you’re sitting down, and you’re wearing a little crop top, it’s just, like, my ass crack is always just out... ," Kylie told the hosts.

Social media is in a frenzy over a report that police raided the home of Rep. Ilhan Omar's son over allegations against his roommate.

Minneapolis police raided the home of Adnan Hirsi earlier this week and confiscated guns and ammunition before arresting his roommate, Abdulrahman Abdi, Alpha News reported.

Hirsi, Omar's son, has not been implicated in any wrongdoing, nor was the congresswoman implicated in the incident.

But the report's mention that the suspect shares an apartment with the progressive lawmaker's son was enough to make her right-wing critics on social media erupt.

"Nothing to see here. Move along," Steve Ferguson, a small business owner with nearly 300,000 followers on X, posted.

Right-wing activist Benny Johnson wrote, "Not a good look for Ilhan Omar."

Online influencer "Spitfire" wrote on the site, "This Omar investigation is getting more interesting by the day."

"Anyone shocked that a horrible person would be a horrible mother? What do you expect from someone who marries their brother?" Townhall columnist Derek Hunter wrote, referencing an unproven online conspiracy theory that Omar previously was married to her brother, which she has denied.

Commentator Gunther Eagleman called to "deport Ilhan Omar and her family."

"Ilhan Omar: Supports violent jihad. Ilhan's daughter: Arrested during pro-Hamas campus riots; traveled to Cuba with a CCP-linked group. Ilhan's son: Home raided by police; guns and ammunition seized," Eitan Fischberger, a former staff sergeant in the Israeli military and a current opinion columnist, wrote.

The report itself was also shared without comment by former Trump advisors Corey Lewandowski and Sean Spicer.

The report said a search warrant was executed Tuesday at the home Abdi shares with Hirsi, and that guns and ammunition were recovered. Abdi was reportedly arrested earlier in the day. No wrongdoing by Hirsi was reported.

The Minneapolis Police Department declined to comment when reached by Fox News Digital.

Fox News Digital did confirm that Abdi was arrested by Minneapolis police and booked just after noon on Tuesday. He was released just before midnight the next day, records show.
