Former Eagles CB Asante Samuel calls out coach Nick Sirianni after brutal London loss: 'You lost the game'

The Philadelphia Eagles flew all the way across the Atlantic Ocean just to hand a victory to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Unsurprisingly, former All-Pro cornerback Asante Samuel has seen enough.

Eight seconds left, a one-point lead, and a squib kick sealed it. Instead, Nick Sirianni gifted Jacksonville a live return, setting up an improbable walk-off win.

Speaking on the "Say What Needs To Be Said" show, Samuel put Sunday's 19-17 collapse squarely on Philadelphia's head coach.

"You lost the game for your team," Samuel said. "Of course, the team was going to have his back and say, 'No, coach, it's not on you. It's on us.' But all the coach had to do was call a squib kick. A squib kick at the end of the game is normal and done all the freaking time."

Samuel torched Sirianni for his lack of awareness in crunch time.

"Nick Sirianni must have had a lapse in his brain or something and wasn't paying attention for him to miss out on that situation," Samuel said. "There's no way your team fights that hard for that long, and you let your team down by not making sure the right call is being made."

The blunder erased what should have been a gritty road win. Down Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith to hamstring injuries, Philadelphia took a 17-16 lead with eight seconds left on Jake Elliott's 48-yard field goal.

Jacksonville's Ameer Abdullah responded by fielding a clean kickoff, ripping off a 53-yard return, and setting up Cam Little's walk-off 57-yarder as time expired.

The loss dropped Philadelphia to 2-3 while pushing the Jags to their third-straight victory.

Sirianni fell on his sword Sunday right after the final whistle.

"I didn't make the right decision and I lost us that game," Sirianni told reporters. "And that's what I said to our guys. What hurts there is that the guys fought so hard, and then I don't make the decision that I should make at the end of the game and I cost us that game and I put that fully on me."

When asked why Philadelphia left eight seconds on the board before Elliott's kick, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts made it clear game management was outside his control.

"It’s not my place, and we’re prepared, I’m prepared as a quarterback to not worry about those things," Hurts told reporters Monday. "So I’m honoring a play call, honoring the things that are coming in the game. When I’m up at night, yeah, I think about, 'Man, should I have said something, or should I have took a step back and said, "Wait"?' But ultimately, there’s a commitment to that and going out there and executing. And so this was one where it did not work in our favor."

Sirianni doubled down Monday, shutting down any idea that Hurts should have overruled the sideline.

"Jalen’s playing," Sirianni told reporters. "We’re coaching and calling the plays, and Jalen’s got to go execute what we call in that moment, 100 percent. We’re not asking him to make play calls in that scenario. He’s already got enough to worry about to go out and execute. That’s where we were there in that situation."

Man admits to dismembering ex-girlfriend, keeping severed head in suitcase after she played him 'like a fool'

A New York man pleaded guilty to murdering and dismembering his ex-girlfriend and putting her severed head in a suitcase with a flower after she ended their relationship, later telling investigators she had "played me like a sucker," according to authorities.

Damon Foy, 50, of Kerhonkson, pleaded guilty last week to second-degree murder in the 2024 death of Alberta Dale, 44, of Pennsylvania, according to the Ulster County District Attorney's Office.

Between March 31 and April 1, 2024, Foy killed and dismembered Dale and was in the process of disposing of her body when law enforcement intervened, according to the district attorney's office.

The Ulster County Sheriff's Office began investigating on April 1, 2024, after Dale's family members in Pennsylvania contacted law enforcement because they were concerned about her well-being, the district attorney's office said. Deputies first conducted a welfare check before launching a missing person investigation.

Deputies first went to Foy’s apartment on April 1, 2024, and found Dale’s car, according to the New York Post. The next day, deputies returned to question Foy after a member of the public found Dale’s phone on the side of the road and turned it in to authorities, leading investigators to suspect potential foul play.

"She’s in there," Foy whispered to investigators, when they arrived at his home during the missing person investigation. "I killed her," he added, according to court documents cited by the New York Post.

Investigators obtained a search warrant for Foy's home and found a suitcase in a closet that contained the victim's remains. Foy was then arrested and charged in connection with Dale's death.

After shining a flashlight on the suitcase, investigators "immediately noticed what appeared to be dried blood," according to the documents.

"Officers opened the defendant’s suitcase and found Alberta Dale’s partial dismembered remains, including her severed head," the court documents read, according to the New York Post.

"The remaining portions of her dismembered body were not located during the execution of the search warrant," the documents add.

When he was later interviewed, Foy told investigators he "loved her," according to the documents.

"The only thing she kept doing after the time throughout the whole relationship was just play me, play me like a fool, play me like a sucker, and just took advantage of the whole f–king system," he said.

"That’s it. I was told to leave my own home. I was told to leave my own f–king home, not a bill in her name, and I was told to leave my own f–king home. Get out. Then it all started coming clearer to me," he added.

When asked about the flower in the suitcase, Foy only said he was thinking about "what still happened last night to take s— over the top."

Foy had a history of domestic violence against Dale, according to court documents cited by the New York Post.

A previous domestic incident involved a gun, and investigators had also observed an axe at Foy’s property when they were searching for Dale.

Dale had previously warned authorities that "if she went missing it was because [Foy] killed her," according to the court documents.

Under a plea agreement, Foy is expected to receive 23 years to life behind bars, with a minimum term two years shorter than the maximum of 25 years to life, according to the Daily Freeman.

Chief Assistant District Attorney Liz Culmone-Mills told the outlet that the agreement was backed by Dale’s family.

"The District Attorney’s Office would not be making this recommendation were it not for Alberta Dale’s family," Culmone-Mills told the outlet.

Foy is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 16.

Bears kicker goes viral after trying to trip Packers receiver who decked Chicago coach on sideline

The Green Bay Packers-Chicago Bears rivalry is one of the best in football, and one viral moment added to it during the Packers’ 31-7 beatdown at Lambeau Field over their NFC North foe in Week 5.

Packers receiver Matthew Golden fielded a punt by the Bears toward the end of the first half, and after returning it 17 yards, he ran out of bounds on the Chicago sideline.

Still running at full speed, Golden crashed into an unsuspecting Bears coach, who went tumbling to the ground after the blindside hit.

Bears kicker Cairo Santos seemed to witness the act by Golden, and his reaction was one some fans on social media called dirty.

As Golden ran back onto the field, Santos clearly tried to trip the second-year receiver before he got between the white lines. Santos was unsuccessful, but as the broadcast caught the entire act from Golden hitting the Bears coach to the attempted trip, it quickly went viral on social media.

Fans started a discourse over which action was more dirty, and you can suspect where Packers and Bears fans aligned their views.

In the end, no flags were thrown for either player and the half came to an end.

After the game, Golden admitted to Santos trying to trip him, but took the high road when asked about the incident.

"Yeah, he did. He did. But it’s all good. I ain’t got nothing to say to him," Golden said.

The 23-year-old Texas product, whom the Packers took in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, caught six passes from quarterback Jordan Love for a career-high 123 yards, including a 50-yard snag to help Green Bay humble the Bears.

And while Golden took the high road, his teammates weren’t as humble. Linebacker Zaire Franklin took aim at Bears receiver Luther Burden III, suggesting that he "ain’t wanna play anymore" and that he "quit today."

This was a response to Burden saying that Chicago wanted to "beat them real bad and make them quit" prior to their latest meeting.

As divisional foes, they will meet once more this season, with a Christmas Day tilt scheduled in Chicago. By then, playoff implications could be at stake, which would heighten the tension even more between these bitter rivals.

ABC accuses FCC of trying to 'inflict maximal coercive pressure' with probe against network

Disney and ABC accused the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on Monday of using the license renewal process to circumvent "judicial review" and inflict "maximal coercive pressure" against the network and company.

Disney originally sued the FCC in August over what it claimed was a "retaliatory campaign against ABC" regarding the agency's early broadcast license renewal proceedings for eight ABC-owned stations earlier this year. The stations, according to the FCC, must demonstrate they are operating in the public interest as the agency investigates diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practices.

However, in Disney's latest filing, the company asserted that the FCC could have used "a number of different tools" to investigate Disney and ABC's DEI practices that did not involve forcing stations to renew their licenses years ahead of schedule, suggesting it was done to avoid legal scrutiny.

"These are not merely 'theoretical' tools ... they have been used by the agency for decades," the filing read. Defendants’ own admissions leave no doubt as to why — Defendants sought to inflict maximal coercive pressure on the media company whose speech the Administration sought to curb, while deliberately evading judicial review."

Disney cited a court hearing last week in which the FCC was instructed to provide a supplemental filing on alternative methods the agency could have used. During the hearing, the FCC suggested that additional procedures would have required federal court enforcement.

"That Defendants openly describe judicial review as an obstacle demonstrates what Plaintiffs have been saying all along: shielding their unconstitutional campaign against ABC from judicial review is part of Defendants’ retaliatory strategy," the filing read.

In a comment to Fox News Digital, FCC spokesperson Adam Jackman dismissed the latest filing as an effort to block the FCC in court procedures.

"Disney’s latest filing only confirms that they’ve filed a meritless case in the wrong court at the wrong time," Jackman said. The FCC will continue to hold broadcasters accountable to their regulatory obligations."

Fox News Digital also reached out to ABC and Disney for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

Disney and ABC have repeatedly attacked the FCC's probes and investigations into the company as a form of retaliation over programs and hosts that are critical of President Donald Trump, such as late-night host Jimmy Kimmel.

Disney has maintained that "The View" is a "bona fide news" program exempted from the rule.

Dodgers dynasty on the brink after the Milwaukee BABIP machine dials up another win for Brewers

Game 2 of the National League Championship Series on Monday afternoon was a must-win for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Despite widespread perception that the Dodgers are the unbeatable superteam, it was Milwaukee, the team that finished with the best record in the league, that played essentially flawless baseball in a Game 1 win. While Jacob Misiorowski wasn't his typically dominant self, every time Los Angeles had an opportunity to break the game open, "The Miz" and his team's defense clamped down.

Already up a run in the second inning, the Dodgers had the bases loaded with postseason star Kike Hernandez at the plate. Once again, the Brewers defense was perfectly positioned to turn the inning-ending double play. After Milwaukee's offense scratched across two runs against Tarik Skubal, their bullpen continued its remarkable run of success, going 4.2 scoreless innings to secure the win.

BRIGHT LIGHTS NOT TOO BRIGHT FOR THE BREWERS OR SUPERFAN FRONT ROW AMY IN GAME 1 OF NLCS

Still, the Dodgers felt good about their chances with Yoshinobu Yamamoto, postseason hero from 2025, starting in Game 2 against Logan Henderson. Yet for all the hype about LA's remarkable rotation, the Milwaukee BABIP (batting average on balls in play) machine once again kicked into high gear to secure a massive 2-0 series lead and put the Dodgers' three-peat hopes on life support with a 7-4 win.

LA jumped out to an early lead thanks to some uncharacteristic sloppiness from the Brewers. Mookie Betts walked, Freddie Freeman moved him to second, and he took third on a wild pitch from starter Logan Henderson. Teoscar Hernandez knocked him in with a sacrifice fly, and the Dodgers had a 1-0 lead without a hit. Sure enough though, Milwaukee immediately tied it in the bottom of the first.

The Dodgers missed an opportunity to challenge an obvious missed strike three call on Brice Turang, who then doubled and scored on a patented Brewers bloop single. William Contreras stuck his bat out with one hand, somehow making contact with Yamamoto's pitch to dump it into left field. It wouldn't be the last time.

The third inning was a near-repeat. LA mounted a quick rally on back-to-back singles from Tommy Edman and Mookie Betts. Sal Frelick robbed Freddie Freeman of a double with a nice running catch in the right center field gap, but an error on a pickoff attempt at first base brought Edman in to score. But the Brewers, knowing that the Dodgers' greatest weakness is having an opportunity to score runs, had them right where they wanted them. Easy outs from Teoscar Hernandez and Shohei Ohtani ended the "threat," and Milwaukee answered right back in the bottom of the inning.

David Hamilton poked another bloop single, stole second, and yet again, Brice Turang reached base on a missed strike three that went unchallenged by catcher Will Smith. Jake Bauers, one of the worst hitters in baseball before putting on a Milwaukee uniform, worked a walk after a lengthy at bat against Yamamoto, and Christian Yelich made him pay for it with a single to center.

After all this playoff heroics in 2025, Yamamoto went just 2.2 innings, allowing four hits and three runs. Missed challenges, bloop singles, exceptionally well-timed line drives from below average hitters, the ideal Milwaukee offensive outing.

Now trailing 3-2, the Dodgers "fought" back in the fifth. Kyle Tucker led off with a double, before a throwing error from Henderson on a Tommy Edman bunt let him score and sent Edman to second. A grounder and sac fly gave LA a 4-3 lead, once again without getting a hit with runners in scoring position.

Sure enough, William Contreras immediately tied it in the bottom of the inning with a mammoth homer to left-center.

The Brewers bullpen, which is apparently unhittable, put up another scoreless inning, before the Milwaukee superteam once again kicked into high gear in the bottom of the sixth. Hamilton reached on a hit by pitch, advanced to second after a poor pickoff attempt, went to third on a Jackson Chourio grounder, and scored on yet another end of the bat blooper from Contreras.

Again, the Brewers' relief pitchers proved to be the single greatest pitching unit ever assembled, extending their streak to nearly 29 innings with just one run allowed. Monday was the first time in playoff history that a team's bullpen went over five innings in a postseason game without giving up a baserunner. JoJo Romero, Abner Uribe, Trevor Megill, Aaron Ashby, DL Hall...that's the real superteam, and it cost about $17 to build it.

The BABIP continued into the eighth, as David Hamilton crushed a 73mph single to right field, stole second, and scored on yet another obliterated 71mph single from Brice Turang. That hit pushed the Brewers to 5-12 with RISP.

Jake Bauers added on with yet another 73mph bloop single to make Milwaukee 6-13 with RISP.

Somehow, Milwaukee has perfected the art of running into singles on poorly hit balls in play. Some might say it's a skill, but decades of data and information have told us it isn't. Players and teams with poor exit velocities don't outperform with batting average on balls in play, in fact, it's the opposite.

The league leaders in hard hit percentage this season were, in order:

James Wood
Elly De La Cruz
Pete Alonso
Yordan Alvarez
Shohei Ohtani

All five had BABIPs at or above league average, Wood and De La Cruz were .344 and .359, respectively. Jac Caglianone was eighth in hard hit percentage and second in baseball in BABIP. Hitting the ball hard is a skill, soft contact isn't. Yet the Brewers have three hitters in the top seven in BABIP anyway.

Does it matter that Milwaukee has likely been lucky this season? No, not at all. A playoff series is the epitome of a small sample size, and reversion to the mean doesn't have to happen over five-to-seven games. Contreras could hit 17 straight bloopers off the end of the bat, because that's baseball. Which is why predictions of a guaranteed Dodgers' World Series win because of their talent were always so laughable.

Milwaukee had more hits with runners in scoring position in this game, not one hit hard, than the Dodgers have all postseason. And they're going back to LA with a 2-0 series lead and overwhelming likelihood of advancing to the World Series. The gaps between teams in baseball are so small that a bounce here or there, a team's ability to magically ensure that 71mph bloopers are placed perfectly, despite there being no ability to do that, can change a playoff series. David Hamilton, who is objectively an awful baseball player, reached base four times and scored two runs. Shohei Ohtani, the best player in the history of baseball, was useless. That's not unusual or unexpected, it's part of the sport. Which is why it's impossible for one team to guarantee themselves anything.

Will this matter to the "ruining baseball" crowd? Of course not, reality never does.

WNBA gives Cheryl Reeve another award after playoff collapse and years of outspoken left-wing politics

The WNBA has another award for Cheryl Reeve. This one comes from the people who run the teams, and that makes it worth examining what, exactly, they are celebrating.

The league announced Monday that the Minnesota Lynx head coach and president of basketball operations won Basketball Executive of the Year for the third time, tying the Atlanta Dream's Dan Padover for the most selections in the award's history.

The announcement comes less than two weeks after the top-seeded Lynx were swept out of the first round of the playoffs by the eighth-seeded New York Liberty, who were subsequently swept in the semifinals by the Dream.

Reeve appeared on 13 ballots, ahead of Padover's 11 and Golden State's Ohemaa Nyanin's eight. Each of the WNBA's 15 teams had an executive on the voting panel, and voters couldn't select themselves.

That's a substantial endorsement of Reeve from her peers and it also amounts to tacit approval of the way one of the league's most outspoken left-wing figures represents her franchise.

An executive helps establish what an organization stands for, and Reeve has made her politics a major part of that job. She consistently uses her WNBA platform to attack the motives of people who believe women's sports should be reserved for females.

Her colleagues have now chosen to celebrate her leadership. That deserves scrutiny beyond a list of successful transactions.

Dallas made Reeve's Olivia Miles decision awfully easy

The league's announcement highlighted Reeve's selection of Olivia Miles with the No. 2 pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft. Miles went on to become the unanimous Rookie of the Year and set the league's rookie scoring record with 790 points.

An excellent addition, obviously. But let's remember how Miles became available.

The Dallas Wings could have (and should have) taken Miles, but elected to draft Paige Bueckers' girlfriend, Azzi Fudd, with the No. 1 pick instead.

The Wings publicly praised Fudd's shooting. But pretending that their selection of Fudd was based entirely on her basketball skills is foolish.

Miles averaged 19.8 points, 6.0 assists and 4.7 rebounds as a rookie. Fudd averaged 13.1 points, 1.8 assists and 1.7 rebounds. Miles produced those numbers while playing slightly fewer minutes per game, shot better from the field and finished second in MVP voting.

Reeve should probably send the Wings a thank-you note.

In April 2024, the Chicago Sky moved from No. 8 to No. 7 and acquired the rights to Nikolina Milić. Minnesota received Sika Koné, a 2025 second-round pick and the right to swap first-round picks with Chicago in 2026, along with the No. 8 selection.

Chicago used No. 7 on Angel Reese. At the time of the deal, Minnesota was coming off a 19-21 season and Chicago an 18-22 season.

In April 2025, Minnesota sent Chicago the No. 11 pick, which the Sky used on Hailey Van Lith, for Chicago's 2026 first-rounder outright. That deal canceled the earlier swap and allowed Minnesota to keep its own 2026 first-round pick, too.

Reeve deserves credit for those trades. Once Dallas passed on Miles, though, the choice at No. 2 was awfully easy.

Reeve also signed Natasha Howard, who started all 44 games and earned an All-Star starting spot. Minnesota finished 33-11 and earned the No. 1 playoff seed.

Dallas did Reeve an enormous favor, and the Lynx benefited.

Reeve's team couldn't win a playoff game

For all those advantages, what did the Lynx do in the playoffs?

Minnesota became the first No. 1 seed in WNBA history to be eliminated by a No. 8 seed, and New York did it in a sweep.

The Lynx had the unanimous Rookie of the Year (who also finished second in MVP voting). And while Napheesa Collier, one of the league’s best players, missed time during the regular season, she played in both playoff games.

Minnesota lost both of those games by 16 points, including a 91-75 defeat at home in Game 1.

Reeve's four championships are part of her record. So is the fact that the most recent one came in 2017. In the nine seasons since, Minnesota has reached the Finals once, losing to New York in 2024.

During that same stretch, Reeve has collected three Coach of the Year awards and all three of her Executive of the Year awards.

Six individual awards. Zero championships.

If Reeve gets the credit for both building the roster and coaching it, she can answer for what that team did in the playoffs, too.

An executive sets the tone for the franchise

Reeve already won her fifth Coach of the Year award two weeks ago. With Monday's announcement, she became the first person to win Coach of the Year and Executive of the Year in the same season twice.

For me, evaluating an executive means evaluating leadership. If an executive repeatedly uses the team's platform to make political statements, those statements belong in the discussion of how she represents the organization.

"They don't want transgender people to exist," Reeve said.

That's an ugly accusation to make about people whose position is that girls and women deserve their own athletic category.

And it came from the person who both coaches the Lynx and oversees their basketball operations. Her public conduct carries the authority of both positions.

By honoring Reeve as the year's outstanding basketball executive, her peers are publicly holding up her leadership as an example. Her political conduct is part of that leadership.

A Facebook Marketplace jewelry listing was linked to a late-night armed robbery at a home in affluent Franklin, Tennessee, where police pursued three fleeing suspects, authorities said.

Officers responded to a home in northeast Franklin just after 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, and determined the robbery was connected to jewelry advertised for sale on the platform, according to the Franklin Police Department.

The suspects fled the area but were spotted by responding officers a short time later. A vehicle pursuit followed, ending with all three men in custody, police said.

The robbery unfolded in a community known for its wealth and high-end homes. Franklin’s city website describes it as "one of the wealthiest cities in one of the wealthiest counties in the United States."

Franklin's median home sale price reached $903,410 in September 2026, while the median listing price stood at $1.1 million, according to Realtor.com.

Across Williamson County, where Franklin is located, the median home sale price was $929,990, the real estate website reported.

Police credited the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office with helping investigate the robbery and apprehend the suspects.

Police urged buyers and sellers to arrange exchanges in public, well-lit locations with other people nearby and surveillance cameras whenever possible. For valuable items, authorities recommended meeting at a police department or another law enforcement facility.

NATO's top military commander warned Monday that what he called the "lethal alliance" would destroy "anything and everything" supporting an attack on allied territory and "break" enemy warfighting systems to thwart any potential future Russian assault.

"Should the adversary choose to press the attack or commit his reserves, we will break the warfighting system engaged against us," U.S. Air Force Gen. Alexus Grynkewich said at the Warsaw Security Forum in Poland, in an apparent warning to Moscow.

"This includes not just the attacking force itself, but anything and everything that supports, sustains, and controls that force," he said during a panel titled "Theory of Victory: How Do We Achieve Military Success Against Russia in Deterrence and Defence?" on the first day of the forum.

"If someone is foolish enough to attack us, we will fight," he said. "We will stop the attack and deny them the ability to achieve their objectives, whatever those might be. We will, in short, ensure any attack, against any ally, proves utterly futile."

The warning came amid heightened tensions between Russia and Western nations following a series of drone incursions and suspected sabotage operations that European countries have linked to Moscow.

"We stand here together in Poland today stronger than ever united in our common vision of a more balanced, more ready and more lethal alliance," Grynkewich also said.

European officials have accused Russia of waging a campaign of hybrid warfare involving sabotage, arson and cyberattacks, alongside increasingly provocative military activity near NATO territory.

Grynkewich's remarks had followed a tense weekend between Russia and Ukraine, with Moscow launching fresh strikes against Ukrainian energy infrastructure despite diplomatic efforts to reduce hostilities.

President Donald Trump had announced that he had reached an agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin to increase Russian diesel supplies to the U.S. and global markets.

The reported agreement included a waiver of certain U.S. sanctions on Russian energy exports.

On Sept. 30, Russia warned NATO that it could use nuclear weapons if the alliance attempted to isolate Kaliningrad, its heavily militarized Baltic Sea exclave between Poland and Lithuania.

In a diplomatic note obtained by Reuters, Moscow accused NATO of pursuing a "dangerous and reckless course" that carried "high risks of the outbreak of a direct armed conflict."

According to the note, Russia warned it could use its full military arsenal, including nuclear weapons, to defend Kaliningrad and raised the possibility of strikes against decision-making centers in NATO countries at the outset of a conflict.

Putin has also maintained that Russia has no plans to attack European countries and wants peaceful coexistence with its neighbors.

Grynkewich did not mention Russia by name during his Warsaw address, but his warning appeared directed at Moscow and with NATO's 2022 Strategic Concept also identifying Russia as the most significant and direct threat to allied security.

"My theory of victory is simple: we will block the initial attack. If the attack persists, we will blunt it and prevent enemy advance," Grynkewich said on Monday.

"And if required, we will break the enemy's forces and the operational warfighting system that is arrayed against us."

Grynkewich said NATO was already putting the strategy into action through military exercises, enhanced military readiness and investments in new capabilities.

"If attacked, we are ready to fight tonight, but we are not complacent," he said.

Meanwhile, Trump has pressed European allies to increase defense spending and has questioned whether countries that fail to meet their obligations should expect U.S. protection.

Grynkewich sought to downplay concerns about Washington's commitment, recalling Trump's positive remarks about the alliance during the 2025 NATO summit in The Hague, Netherlands.

"I was in the room and I felt the love," Grynkewich said of the 2025 event.

"What I want to do is assure the one billion citizens of our alliance that we've got this. We know what we need to do. We know how we would do it," he added.

He also indicated a willingness to discuss suspected hybrid attacks more openly if individual NATO governments wanted him to address their concerns.

"If a nation wants me to, I'm happy to talk about it," he said.

NPR CEO Katherine Maher will receive Harper's Magazine's "First Amendment Award" later this month despite her past criticism of the amendment.

"As president and CEO of NPR, Katherine Maher has guided one of America’s most important public media institutions through a period of extraordinary political, legal, and financial scrutiny, reaffirming journalism’s essential role in a democratic society," the magazine said in a press release earlier this year about Maher receiving the James C. Goodale First Amendment Award on Oct. 26.

Harper's Magazine also claimed that Maher led NPR "through a period of heightened scrutiny and challenge" along with "successfully battling" President Donald Trump's efforts to defund NPR, though Congress still rescinded $1.1 billion in federal funding to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in 2025.

Although the magazine hailed Maher as an advocate for journalism, Maher has not always been supportive of the First Amendment as a whole.

"The number one challenge here that we see is, of course, the First Amendment in the United States. [It] is a fairly robust protection of rights and that is a protection of rights both for platforms, which I actually think is very important that platforms have those rights to be able to regulate what kind of content they want on their sites," Maher said.

Maher, who was not appointed NPR CEO until 2024, later conceded that the publication "made a mistake."

Tim Graham, executive editor of the media watchdog NewsBusters, told Fox News Digital, "Harper's Magazine is demonstrating the usual liberal impulse, that being fiercely critical of Trump and the Republicans is what the First Amendment is all about. But NPR didn't hold President Biden accountable. Instead, they insisted that covering corruption in Biden's family was a 'distraction.'"

"Their explanation for this pride is that Maher courageously fought off defunding NPR, which, of course, is not true. They are defunded. Liberals believe depriving NPR of taxpayer subsidies is some sort of First Amendment violation. But it's not a First Amendment violation for NPR to avoid having any Trump-supporting conservatives on their airwaves to push back on all their liberal bias," he continued.

"These people have no shame that Maher championed aggressive censorship of ‘bad information,’ just as European socialist countries have done. Maher said in a 2021 TED Talk that the First Amendment was a ‘challenge,’ a hurdle, something that makes censorship ‘a little bit trickier.’ How does that deserve a First Amendment award??" he asked.

NPR celebrated Maher receiving the award, pointing to its past statement when reached for a comment by Fox News Digital.

Democratic Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed is facing new scrutiny after he denied that he or his family had any ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

On Sunday's "Meet the Press," NBC's Kristen Welker pressed El-Sayed whether he could "set the record straight" on allegations that his family had connections to the controversial Islamist group.

"No," El-Sayed replied.

"No, you don't have any ties, and your family doesn't?" Welker followed up.

However, according to his half-sister Eman Abdelhadi, their mother was an active member of the Muslim Brotherhood.

"Had an amazing talk with my mom about her activism in the Muslim Brotherhood during the early 70s while she was in college #respect," Abdelhadi wrote in a 2012 X post, as first reported by the Washington Free Beacon.

Caster, who is known for performing a rap song during his ring entrance, brought the rhymes with him.

In one lyric, Caster made mention of the attack at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia over the weekend that left more than a dozen dead. The Iran-backed Houthis claimed responsibility for the attack, raising tensions even further in the Middle East.

On Monday, TNA said it deleted everything related to Caster from its social media and will no longer welcome Caster at its company.

"During Sunday’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view, insensitive comments were made by Max Caster referencing attacks in Riyadh that killed and injured many people," the company said in a statement. "Making light of violent attacks is wrong. This should never have made it into the show, and that responsibility is ours. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families and everyone affected. We sincerely apologize.

"We have removed the segment from replays and our social channels and are taking steps to ensure something like this never happens again. Max Caster will no longer be wrestling in TNA."

The report was initially deleted without explanation and then republished with a correction.

In a letter to FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, Moreno demanded accountability for the network's report and questioned whether ABC News violated its obligations as a broadcaster.

"Thus, I urge the Commission to open a formal investigation into ABC News's political hit job. We must know who signed off on the publication of this false story, who may have asked to profit from the attack, and whether ABC News's conduct violated its obligations as a licensee," Moreno said.

The controversy centered on ABC News' original claim that 1789 Capital, where Trump Jr. serves as a partner, acquired a major strike in Anduril through a $2.5 billion investment. The figure instead represented Anduril's broader fundraising round, while 1789 Capital's investment was approximately $50 million.

ABC News republished a substantially revised article Friday, acknowledging errors involving investments, government contracts and the chronology of events. Woman poisoned by coworker at Berkeley lab releases hidden-camera video as he seeks felony dismissal

A woman whose coworker was convicted of poisoning her is releasing the hidden-camera video that helped catch him, just as he asks a judge to dismiss his felony conviction.

According to prosecutors, David Xu, who previously worked as a senior materials engineer at Berkeley Engineering and Research in California, poisoned the food and water of colleague Rong Yuan with cadmium, a toxic heavy metal, for more than a year, spanning 2017 to 2019.

While Xu's charges included premeditated attempted murder and two felony counts of poisoning, he was offered a plea deal of one count of poisoning and one year of probation, to which he pleaded no contest, according to the San Francisco Standard. During Xu's sentencing hearing in 2024, the judge made his probation two years and called the deal "extremely generous, considering everything in this case."

Yuan released video that appears to show Xu pouring a substance into her water bottle as Xu was set to ask an Alameda County judge to dismiss the felony conviction on Monday.

She was hired by Berkeley Engineering and Research in January 2017 and recalled her first encounter with Xu was tense, claiming he told her that she couldn't use the firm's material characterization lab.

"I just decided I will never overlap with him," she said after the interaction. "I’ll just simply do my work, and he can do whatever he wants."

Over a few weeks' time, according to Yuan, she began feeling symptoms such as dry heaving and hair loss. The symptoms escalated in July 2017 when she woke up and took a few sips from her water bottle, and she said, "I began to feel like I was dying."

By late 2018, after going to the hospital repeatedly, she sent an email on Nov. 27, 2018, saying she was throwing up and wouldn't be coming to the office.

Yuan had a similar feeling after drinking from her desk water bottle in January 2019, recalling "I’m going to die." Her mother drank from the water bottle and realized there was a sour taste, sparking suspicions her water was being tampered with. She then ordered a spy camera off Amazon.

Long-time NFL coach Mike Pettine has been hired by the Cowboys to serve as a senior defensive assistant who will be working alongside defensive coordinator Christian Parker, the 34-year-old who has seen struggles from his unit so far in his first year at his post.

"It’s something we’ve been talking about for a long time. I think as we looked at everything, we had a chance to convince Pett that it made sense for him," head coach Brian Schottenheimer told reporters about the hiring of Pettine.

"I think he's excited about coming in and adding experience and value. The most important thing for us was making sure we got the right guy, and I feel very, very confident that we did."

It feels as though this was a long time coming for the Cowboys, as Parker himself approached Pettine about joining his defensive staff when he was hired for the job in January. Parker marked the youngest defensive coordinator hire in Cowboys history, and wanted someone he was familiar with on his staff.

Parker’s first NFL job was a quality control coach in 2019 with the Green Bay Packers. Pettine was the team's defensive coordinator at the time. Schottenheimer also knows Pettine well, as the two previously worked together on Rex Ryan's New York Jets staff.

Pettine, though, had retired before the 2026 season when Parker was putting his staff together. But after the Cowboys' loss to undrafted rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels and the Bucs this past Thursday, which gave Tampa Bay its first win of the season, Dallas went back to Pettine, who came out of retirement to join the staff.

From 2022 up until last season, Pettine served as an assistant head coach for Kevin O’Connell on the Minnesota Vikings. He was also a senior defensive assistant with the Chicago Bears during the 2021 season.

The Cowboys do not plan on Pettine supplanting Parker as defensive coordinator, but rather allowing the both to work together again in hopes of changing the brutal results on the field over the first five weeks.

Dallas, which moved to 2-3 on the season after the loss, has allowed the second-most yards per game (395.4) in the NFL thus far, with only the Detroit Lions giving up more. The Cowboys also have the worst run defense, giving up 168.4 yards per game in that area, while being 26th in points allowed per game (27.2).

Just like last season, the team’s wins have been because Dak Prescott and the offense have been able to put up points, ranking seventh in the league per game in that respect (27.6).

Pettine has the notable experience to perhaps change what’s going wrong despite players and coaches alike saying Parker’s communication and scheme have been solid thus far. Owner Jerry Jones and the rest of those invested in the team’s success want the results on the field, though.

"When you bring someone into this role, you want it to be someone that the coordinator, the head coach trusts," Schottenheimer continued, "because otherwise I could put two people in a room and say, ‘OK, well he’s in charge, but I want you to give him feedback,’ if they don’t have any relationship, then how are they going to ever get anything done? That doesn’t help anybody.

"So, that’s how it started, and Pett was excited about retirement. He’s been doing this a long time, and as we’ve been talking about this over the past couple weeks, it began to make more sense for him."

The Cowboys will see Pettine and Parker’s former Packers squad in a primetime matchup on "Sunday Night Football" in Week 6.

Man dies after falling from Goliath roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia

A person died after an incident involving the Goliath roller coaster at the Six Flags Over Georgia amusement park on Monday, police confirmed to Fox News Digital.

The Cobb County Police Department said the incident happened Monday just before 4 p.m. The department confirmed one person was dead and several other people were reported injured. Police did not immediately provide further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.

"We are deeply saddened by the guest incident at our park today," a Six Flags spokesperson said in a statement to Fox News Digital. "Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with the guest’s family, friends, and loved ones. We are also providing support to the guests and team members affected."

Witnesses described a horrific scene, saying a man fell from the ride.

One witness told local station WXIA that the man appeared in their souvenir photo as he fell.

The 200-foot-tall hypercoaster stopped moving, leaving passengers stuck on the track until emergency crews evacuated them. Video from the scene showed people climbing out of the ride and making their way down a staircase high above the ground.

The coaster reaches speeds of up to 70 mph with a peak elevation of 200 feet, according to the park's website. It features a 170-foot initial drop, a secondary 175-foot drop, a 540-degree spiral, and forces reaching up to 4 Gs.

Bizarre X-ray scan leads TSA officers to flight passenger's illegal stash

A passenger's trip through airport security lines took an unexpected turn after TSA officers noticed something unusual hidden inside a piece of computer equipment.

The unidentified passenger was going through security at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Arizona when a TSA officer spotted on the X-ray machine an unusual mass and wiring inside an Apple Mac mini desktop computer.

A closer inspection revealed suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine and ketamine concealed inside the manipulated computer, the TSA said in an Oct. 9 release.

Lead TSA Officer Logan Stortz made the initial discovery while screening the passenger's carry-on bag. At first, he suspected the unusual image might be part of an internal TSA test.

"Initially, I thought this might be a test run by one of the many levels of testing teams within TSA," Stortz said. "When I found out it was drugs, I was very surprised."

TSA Officer Isaiah Martinez Jr. then searched the carry-on and consulted with Stortz about the suspicious computer.

"I was in shock, noticed something was awry and immediately notified a supervisor," Martinez said.

The officers' concerns grew as they examined the computer more closely.

A second screening revealed a mass beneath a concealed area and additional signs of tampering, according to TSA.

An explosives specialist then examined the computer and discovered plastic-wrapped material inside, including a crystallized substance and an orange pill-like item.

"I stopped all procedures at that point," said TSA explosives specialist Robert Rosas Perez II.

Officers called law enforcement to the checkpoint, where preliminary field-testing indicated the substances included suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine and ketamine, TSA said.

Phoenix police arrested the passenger, whose identity was not released in the agency's account.

"The way this was concealed was unusual," Supervisory TSA Officer Emily Price said.

Despite the unusual hiding place, Perez said attempts to bring illegal or prohibited items through airport security may happen more frequently than travelers realize.

"This is probably not as uncommon as the public might think," he said.

"Every day, passengers attempt to bring illicit, illegal, prohibited or suspected illegal items through security checkpoints."

When officers encounter suspected illegal drugs during screening, they notify law enforcement.

When pickleball first started gaining popularity at the neighborhood tennis courts and country clubs, I didn’t think anything of it. I had heard of the game many years ago and since it didn’t take off then, I mostly ignored it.

I figured there would be a few injuries and possible brawls among weekend warriors, but I had no idea what we were in for. We have pickleball matches where paddles are used as weapons and people taking pickleballs to the eye.

As if that wasn’t enough for folks who hit the court to contend with, there's a new reason to keep your paddles up and your head on a swivel at all times while playing. Shots to the nipple. Evidently they're no fun.

You don’t have to take my word for it. Kaitlyn Kerr, a pickleball pro and self-described "voice of pickleball" who goes by Pickleball Chick on social media, is sounding the alarm.

She posted a video of herself taking a shot to the chest along with the warning: "PICKLEBALL IS DANGEROUS FOR NIPPLES."

The short public service announcement shows her standing on the court with her paddle down by her side waiting for the ball to be served. She wasn’t prepared for what ended up playing out.

As Kerr is standing there, the guy serving smashes the ball at her chest. She tries to avoid it and isn’t able to do so. She takes the ball to the nipple. The nasty serve leaves her rolling on the court in pain.

Kerr isn't the only one out there to have experienced this. Other "titty bag survivors" showed up in the comment section with their own recollections of nipple trauma on the pickleball court:

Two Hawks games and an indie concert shoved a WNBA title run out of its home building. Given that the NBA owns the league, a single phone call could have cleared the floor ... proving league suits were completely asleep at the wheel.

"Not only are they not playing in the State Farm Arena, they are playing in Gateway Center Arena," Carton explained.

"The Gateway Center Arena is a glorified high school gymnasium. Max capacity for a basketball game is 3,500 people. Now I did the research. There are two other arenas within 30 miles of State Farm Arena that fit 10 to 12,000 people."

Transit worker allegedly killed by felon on electronic monitoring despite repeated probation violations

A murder suspect accused of stabbing and killing a transit worker outside a train station in a daytime attack allegedly had prior run-ins with the law.

Chevazz Campbell, 37, is accused of stabbing and killing Julian Mobley, 41, a husband and father who worked for the Chicago Transit Authority as a janitor, according to FOX 32 Chicago.

It happened at the Damen Green Line station just before 3 p.m. Thursday.

Cook County State’s Attorney Eileen O’Neill Burke and Amalgamated Transit Union Local 308 President Pennie McCoach said in a joint statement that the problems with the electronic monitoring system "could not be clearer," FOX 32 reported.

"We need a permanent legislative solution to close these gaps, strengthen accountability, and better protect people like Julian, who deserve to be safe on the job and return home to their families after work," the statement read.

Dianna Russini could have a hard time returning to media following Mike Vrabel scandal

Dianna Russini has not made a public statement since announcing her resignation from The Athletic in April, following a series of leaks that showed her spending time privately with New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel.

Perhaps most bizarrely, TMZ reported that it had obtained records from a private boating trip involving the two six years earlier, months before the former NFL reporter gave birth to her first child.

According to the New York Post, Russini is now seeking a return to the media. She recently hired crisis publicist Melissa Nathan to help her "navigate past the Mike Vrabel scandal."

One could argue that Nathan's first piece of advice should have been not to leak that Russini hired a crisis publicist.

On the surface, we are skeptical that any serious journalism outlet would hire Russini as an NFL reporter, a position she held for more than two decades. Rumors shape perception, and perception often becomes reality. The perception surrounding Russini is that she obtained information unethically because of an inappropriate relationship with Vrabel, romantic or otherwise.

Any significant story she breaks would invite questions about how she obtained the information. The controversy could also make sources more reluctant to provide her with sensitive information.

That said, Russini did not hurt anyone. At worst, she violated a basic journalistic ethical standard by failing to disclose a close personal relationship with an NFL coach she covered professionally.

Her entire career does not deserve to end because of that. She may simply have to transition into a different role.

Fantasy football analyst Matthew Berry told OutKick in August that he would "consider" signing Russini as an analyst for his media company, Fantasy Life. Dave Portnoy has also expressed interest in bringing her to Barstool Sports as a personality.

There could be other suitors, depending on the price.

The larger question is how much interest Russini could sustain as a personality. There would undoubtedly be initial curiosity. Nearly every sports and culture website would aggregate whatever she said about the photos and reports involving Vrabel. But that curiosity has a shelf life.

Is she funny, engaging, and entertaining enough to become a star in the podcast space? Recent history suggests that such a transition is hardly automatic.

The migration from traditional sports media to independent digital ventures has produced decidedly mixed results.

Matthew Berry, Shannon Sharpe, Jason Whitlock, and Josh Pate have built substantial audiences and businesses outside the traditional sports-media structure. Others, including Skip Bayless, Bomani Jones, and Cari Champion, have struggled to replicate the relevance they enjoyed in more prominent roles.

Russini also faces an obstacle they did not. None of them had to reinvent themselves after allegations that called into question the nature of their relationship with a prominent football coach.

Ranking NBA teams ABA-style uniforms in honor of the 50th anniversary of the historic merger

On Monday, four NBA teams unveiled ABA-style uniforms for the upcoming season. The Brooklyn Nets, Denver Nuggets, Indiana Pacers and San Antonio Spurs unveiled new Classic Edition uniforms to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1976 NBA-ABA (American Basketball Association) merger. That calls for some uniform rankings.

Honorable Mention: San Antonio Spurs

These are clean and classic.

The Spurs uniforms are a direct reproduction of the team's original home look from their early years in San Antonio. One interesting detail is the arched "Spurs" wordmark on the chest exactly as it was worn by the first players to ever represent the city in 1973 after relocating from Dallas.

Jordan Mandelkorn, Vice President of Marketing, Creative and Retail for Spurs Sports & Entertainment, stated that honoring their ABA roots through this uniform provides a unique opportunity to celebrate the history that shaped both the Spurs and the city of San Antonio. He emphasized that the season-long celebration—which includes a matching throwback court design featuring the ABA 50th-anniversary logo—will successfully connect generations of fans to the franchise's past while carrying that legacy into the future.

This look was originally made famous during the legendary George Gervin era at the downtown HemisFair Arena. The team has scheduled the jersey to debut on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, against the Dallas Mavericks at the Frost Bank Center, kicking off the first of nine scheduled "Classic Nights" throughout the season.

Also, the shorts may be the best of the bunch. The black diamond backdrop framing the classic cowboy spur really nails the retro look. I'm a big fan.

The Worst: Denver Nuggets

These just don't pass the vibe check.

The Nuggets city edition uniforms this season swap out the franchise’s traditional navy and gold for a drab orange design. This uniform honors the team’s late 1960s and early 1970s heritage when they competed in the ABA.

The jersey features an arched "Denver" wordmark across the chest in black lettering with a white outline. It's simple and underwhelming. The shorts showcase a bold black Rockets logo on the left leg, paying homage to the team’s original 1967 launch identity as the Denver Rockets before rebranding to the Nuggets. Again, simple and bland.

Alongside the uniform rollout, the organization announced a corresponding specialty throwback court at Ball Arena to match the vintage aesthetic during designated games.

The team will officially debut the retro threads on Sunday, December 27, 2026, during a home matchup against the Indiana Pacers, whose uniforms I'll be talking about in a minute, marking the first of nine total regular-season games (seven at home and two on the road) where the Nuggets will wear this commemorative look.

Final thought: They should've left these in the past.

Runner-Up: Indiana Pacers

Bright, clean, classic, but reminds me too much of the Atlanta Hawks early 70s uniforms.

The Indiana Pacers 2026–27 Classic Edition uniform pays direct homage to the franchise's powerhouse era in the ABA. The commemorative uniform replicates the team’s iconic 1971–74 road design. The vibrant royal blue jerseys feature a clean, blocky, white "Indiana" wordmark arched across the chest.

The gold numbering, along with a single gold racing stripe wrapping around the armholes, and a distinct gold-and-white striping pattern running down the right side of both the jersey and the shorts. It's a classic look, but I can't get past the fact that this looks far too similar to one of my favorite jerseys of all time: The 1970-72 Atlanta Hawks jersey, especially the Pete Maravich jersey featuring his nickname "Pistol."

The best detail is the vintage 1967 logo featured on the shorts with a cartoonish white hand, holding a basketball that looks more like a tennis ball inside the letter "P."

The team officially announced that the players will wear these retro threads for 15 games throughout the season, including seven designated home dates at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. For those seven home matchups, the franchise is introducing a custom throwback court design and an entirely unique, retro game-night experience.

The Best: Brooklyn Nets

This is a uniform that feels retro, authentic and unique.

The Brooklyn Nets 2026–27 Classic Edition uniform is a revival of the iconic New York Nets design, paying direct homage to the franchise's legendary ABA roots.

The uniforms' red, white and blue colorway pair perfectly with an ABA patriotic colored, period-specific basketball. The clean white jersey, with those American colors, also features side paneling with retro stars, replicating the look made famous by Hall of Famer Julius "Dr. J" Erving when he led the team to ABA championships in 1974 and 1976.

To complement the uniform, the organization is introducing a matching throwback court design at the Barclays Center. The team is scheduled to officially debut the retro threads on Opening Night, Wednesday, October 21, 2026, against the Charlotte Hornets.

This is a jersey I'd easily add to my collection. Now I just need to figure out what player's jersey to get.

The Verdict

Overall, these are solid designs that properly honor the rich history of the leagues who joined forces half a century ago. One thing is for sure: These uniforms are much better than the Specter Edition Uniforms that Nike and the NBA unveiled in September. Those are atrocious.

A New York man is accused of slashing the throat of a female coworker while she was giving him a ride home, according to police.

Saratoga Springs police said they responded Friday to a report of a car that crashed into Augie’s To-Go, an Italian restaurant, and found the driver had a "serious laceration" to her neck that appeared unrelated to the crash.

David Cruz Torres, 36, of Michoacán, Mexico was identified as the passenger in the car and tried to flee the area before he was detained by police officers.

After an investigation, detectives learned that the female victim and Cruz Torres work together in Saratoga Springs. At the end of their shift, Cruz Torres asked the woman for a ride home.

According to police, Cruz Torres attacked the victim while she was driving him home, pulling out a knife and cutting her throat. The victim jumped out of the car as it was still moving and was able to yell for help.

Police said the victim was left with life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital.

Christian woman pleads not guilty to new 'Orwellian' charges for standing in silent prayer

A British Christian activist facing fresh criminal charges over silent prayer near an abortion clinic is warning that her country is becoming increasingly "Orwellian," telling Fox News Digital that ordinary citizens are growing afraid to pray in public as her legal battle heads toward trial.

"It certainly seems very Orwellian and a lot of people have mentioned that particular word to me," Isabel Vaughan-Spruce told Fox News Digital in an interview Monday. "It seems that we're really fostering a sense of intolerance in our communities."

Vaughan-Spruce, co-director of March for Life UK, spoke to Fox News Digital after pleading not guilty in January to new charges in Birmingham, England, in a case that her attorneys argue tests the limits of religious freedom and the government's authority to regulate conduct near abortion facilities.

She previously received a 13,000 British pounds out-of-court settlement from police after pursuing claims of wrongful arrest and false imprisonment stemming from her earlier arrests for silently praying near an abortion clinic.

Now, Vaughan-Spruce says she is facing another charge after returning to pray silently near the same facility following the introduction of nationwide abortion clinic buffer zones in October 2024.

Vaughan-Spruce told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview that the controversy has fostered intolerance toward people with differing religious and moral beliefs.

"I don't believe that those who are pro-life or Christian should be treated as some kind of social pariah," she added.

"A lot of people are just worried about what might happen to them as well because of this," Vaughan-Spruce added. "And I've heard that from a lot of people, you know, just concerned simply about something as simple as praying when they're in a public space."

She said she is concerned about the longstanding implications of what policies like buffer zones will have on free speech.

"I think we need to know our rights and to exercise our rights, and not to be intimidated by other people with [sic] this regard, and particularly our rights under God as Christians to be able to pray wherever we want to pray, certainly if it's something internal in our heads, and not to kind of end up self-censoring because of that prayer is a very, very important part of our life of Christian life," Vaughan-Spruce said. "And we certainly need more of that on the streets, prayer, not less."

Her attorney, Jeremiah Igunnubole, described the prosecution as the first of its kind in Britain and argued that the case raises a fundamental question about whether the government can punish someone for thoughts and private prayer rather than outward conduct.

"To be clear, standing within the buffer zone is not a crime," Igunnubole told Fox News Digital. "So the question exactly, the precise question is exactly what has Isabel been charged for? We can only say it's been for her thoughts and the fact that she lifted up her heart and mind to God in prayer."

Asked where the line should be drawn when it comes to freedom of speech, Igunnubole argued that the government should never have the power to regulate an individual's private thoughts.

"It certainly is not when the state purports to regulate the thoughts of any individual, and we think that that is a red line that cannot be crossed in the UK under the Human Rights Act," Igunnubole said. "There's an absolute right to freedom of thought and that means that there's no qualifications allowed or permitted."

Fox News Digital reached out to the Home Office and the Crown Prosecution Service for comment, who declined to comment due to the pending case.

RJ Mitte, ‘Breaking Bad’ actor who played Walter White Jr., dies at 34

RJ Mitte, the actor who played Walter White Jr. on "Breaking Bad," has died.

"It is with profound sadness we share the tragic passing of beloved actor, philanthropist, and passionate disability rights advocate RJ Mitte," Mitte's representative told Fox News Digital.

"RJ Mitte was best known for his role as Walter 'Flynn' White Jr. on AMC’s critically acclaimed, award-winning series Breaking Bad. Drawing from his own experience living with cerebral palsy, Mitte brought authenticity to the role and built a platform on disability awareness and inclusion," the statement continued. "Beyond entertaining friends and family around the world, he served as an ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children’s."

The statement noted that Mitte also served as president of The Mitte Foundation, which supports philanthropic efforts and community initiatives, while using his platform to challenge stereotypes and promote greater representation for people with disabilities.

'BREAKING BAD' ACTOR MARK MARGOLIS DEAD AT 83

Mitte’s cause of death was not immediately disclosed. Like his character on the Emmy Award-winning show, Mitte had cerebral palsy and was a disability rights advocate.

Last week, Mitte appeared on "The Joe Vulpis Podcast" and spoke about how "Breaking Bad" changed his life and on his close relationship with the cast years after the show's finale, TMZ reported.

After appearing in TV shows including "Hannah Montana" and "Vegas," Mitte made his career breakthrough at age 15 in 2008 when he landed the role of Walter White Jr., the son of the series' main character and antihero Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and his wife Skyler (Anna Gunn), on "Breaking Bad."

Mitte starred in all five seasons of the hit AMC series, which received 16 Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards and three Screen Actors Guild Awards during its run from 2008 to 2014.

In 2014, he won a Screen Actors Guild Award alongside the "Breaking Bad" cast for outstanding ensemble performance in a drama series. Mitte was also honored with the SAG-AFTRA Harold Russell Award at the 2013 Media Access Awards, which recognize inclusive portrayals and employment of people with disabilities in media.

The actor, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at age 3, previously spoke out about using the visibility he gained from "Breaking Bad" to advocate for broader representation of performers with disabilities.

During a 2015 interview with the Badger Herald, he shared that he viewed his disability as a source of strength, saying it helped shape the actor and advocate he became.

"I think everyone that has a disability has the opportunity to make an impact with what they can do and who they are. I wouldn’t be able to do what I do today if it wasn’t for my disability and what it instilled in me," Mitte said.

Mitte often credited "Breaking Bad" with transforming his life and career. He previously said he believed Walter Jr. resonated with the disability community because his cerebral palsy was part of the character, but not the center of his story.

"Walt Jr. had cerebral palsy but he wasn’t disabled," he said on "ListenABLE" podcast in Sept. 2021. It’s who they are, where they came from and how they got there through determination and strength and that’s what makes them so strong and independent."

After "Breaking Bad" ended, Mitte went on to appear in a recurring role on the hit ABC series "Switched at Birth." His other television work included roles in "Chance," "This Close," "Now Apocalypse" and "The Guardians of Justice (Will Save You!)."

Mitte also appeared in movies including "Who's Driving Doug," "Time Share," "Standing Up for Sunny," "The Oak Room," "Love Me Dead" and "Westhampton." The actor executive produced and starred in the 2021 coming of age film "Triumph," in which he played a high school senior with cerebral palsy who is determined to join his school’s wrestling team.

He most recently starred in the drama "Talking to Strangers," which was released in July. Mitte, who has several upcoming projects listed on IMDB, made his last public appearance at a screening of "Talking to Strangers" in Beverly Hills on Sept. 30, less than two weeks before his death.

In addition to serving as the president of the Mitte Foundation, Mitte was also an ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children’s and worked with SAG-AFTRA’s disability inclusion efforts.

Mitte announced his engagement to his longtime girlfriend Kennedy Suarez in October 2025.

A few days before his death, Mitte shared his final Instagram post, which included a clip from his appearance on "The Joe Vulpis Podcast" in which he discussed the possibility of continuing the story of Walter White's family following the fictional drug lord's death in the show's finale.

"The White Family Isn’t Over @thejoe #breakingbad," he wrote in the caption.

"I think there’s still a big step for the White family," Mitte added.

Mitte also admitted that "Breaking Bad," which is widely considered one of the greatest TV shows of all time, set an almost impossible standard for the rest of his career.
