Massachusetts Communist Party chapter attacks Boston Globe over lesbian bar story

A Massachusetts chapter of the Communist Party took aim at The Boston Globe on Thursday over its reporting on a lesbian bar that has been criticized for lifting its mask mandate for just one night a week.

The Boston Globe published an article about Last Ditch, a lesbian bar in Greenfield, Massachusetts, that sparked community backlash after it announced it would be making Saturdays mask-optional. The community responded with accusations of ableism and some even called for a boycott of the business.

The Western Massachusetts CPUSA posted a statement on X and on its website calling for solidarity with "the queer and transgender people of our region facing heightened national scrutiny."

On X, the graphic that included the statement suggested the Globe was part of "MAGA Media," saying, "The Boston Globe, an ally of corporate lobbies across the state, stands on the other side. After endorsing notoriously transphobic Rep. Seth Moulton’s failed Senate campaign, the Globe has pivoted to courting the outrage of the national extreme right and directing it at our region."

The statement argued the article about the Greenfield lesbian bar was "not newsworthy."

"The September 22nd article is not newsworthy, except in the context of the upcoming midterm elections in which transgender rights are a central political issue, as well as a far-right national consumer base which makes the scrutiny of transgender lives profitable," it read.

"The Western Massachusetts CPUSA rejects the use of conflicts among LGBTQIA+ people and organizations as a tool of division by the extreme right. We reaffirm our solidarity with all those struggling against the genocide of transgender people," the statement added.

The Boston Globe's director of communications Adam Bagni responded to the criticism in a statement to Fox News Digital.

"The Boston Globe is locally owned, and our newsroom makes editorial decisions independently, guided by our commitment to fair and accurate reporting," the statement said.

Some critics accused Last Ditch's owners of putting disabled people at risk and compared the policy change to a "mass disabling event" and a "eugenicist" attack while also wishing violence against the establishment, according to the Globe.

"I hope your venue gets firebombed for robbing my fellow immunocompromised people of their Saturday plans just to scrape extra revenue from ablists [sic]," one commenter wrote on the bar's social media post announcing the change.

"People like you kill disabled people in the name of your own leisure and convenience," wrote another.

"Just say you’re being complicit in a mass disabling event and get it over with," a third said.

"When y'all close, let the record state it was ableism + complying in advance, because that's what it is," another wrote.

HOW THE MEDIA, IN THE DIGITAL AGE, HELP FUEL A CLIMATE OF ANGER AND VIOLENCE

This comes years after the COVID-19 pandemic was declared over by the federal government in 2023. State and local governments, as well as most businesses across the country, lifted masking requirements several years ago. Additionally, Greenfield had not reported a COVID-19 case in more than two months, according to the Globe.

The backlash came as the bar was already struggling financially under its unusual business model, which includes rules such as "Nobody will be barred from entry due to lack of funds."

"It is with love we inform our immunocompromised disabled divas we will be opening Saturday nights as mask optional," Last Ditch wrote in an August Instagram post that ignited the backlash.

The bar first attempted to ease tensions and apologize for its post, writing: "We are sorry for our passive and dismissive tone of our change to the norms and schedule impacting the most intersectional of us. We understand everyone faces different intersections, and we are always working to consider all needs fully."

On Thursday, the bar called the Globe's article "abysmal journalism" in a post on Instagram.

Last Ditch also issued a call for donations and support, saying, "Operating a venue is expensive, especially when prioritizing community over profit. Our owners work on a volunteer basis (that's right, none of our owners receive a wage or salary) so every dollar we receive can be reinvested in Last Ditch to pay employees & performers, restock product, make necessary renovations to the space, advertise, and so. much. more."

Family of paralyzed Marine vet allegedly shot by migrant speaks out as health issue could delay testimony

A Marine veteran left paralyzed after being shot while working as a security guard was slated to testify against his alleged illegal immigrant attacker in court next week until a sudden, severe downturn in his health forced him back into the hospital, his family told Fox News Digital.

Jimmy Friesenhahn, a combat veteran with multiple overseas deployments, has been hospitalized for at least a week due to complications from a blood clot after an August surgery, according to his sister, Becky Borjon.

"We encountered some medical setbacks, and he's been hospitalized for a week now," Borjon said. "Prior to that, he was in inpatient rehab for three weeks following a surgery he had on Aug. 28, and things just kind of took a turn."

ICE RAMPS UP ARRESTS OF CONVICTED CRIMINALS AS RIOTS RAGE IN BLUE CITY: ‘YOU WILL NOT STOP US’

Friesenhahn was expected to take the stand in a Bexar County courtroom during the upcoming trial of Wilmer Vladimir Ruiz Ortega, 29, the Honduran national accused of shooting him.

"Trial is scheduled to begin next week on the 20th," Borjon said. "I believe they will start with jury selection and go from there. Jimmy was expected to appear and testify on his own behalf, and we are still hoping he will be able to do that."

Ortega was arrested after allegedly shooting Friesenhahn at El Patio Sports Bar in San Antonio May 4, 2025. Police said Friesenhahn spotted a gun in Ortega’s pocket and tried to stop him from entering the venue. A struggle ensued, during which Ortega allegedly fired multiple rounds.

Friesenhahn was struck twice in his bulletproof vest and once in the neck. The wound to his neck left him paralyzed, unable to speak and in need of full-time medical care.

Ortega was charged with aggravated assault against a security officer and illegal entry into the United States. He is also the subject of federal immigration proceedings.

The shooting sparked outrage from Friesenhahn’s family, who pointed to Ortega’s extensive prior criminal record in Texas. Court records show Ortega was arrested for driving while intoxicated in October 2020, followed by an August 2023 arrest for a probation violation.

He was arrested two more times for failing to appear in court, including a November 2024 arrest.

"His last court appearance was in March 2025, and Jimmy was shot on May 4, 2025," said Emmanuel Martinez, Friesenhahn’s brother-in-law. "At that point, the DA’s office should have complied with removal orders and turned him over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement."

Borjon echoed those concerns, questioning why Ortega remained free despite repeated offenses.

"I’m not opposed to immigration, but there is a process set in place for a reason," Borjon said. "This guy was arrested multiple times, released on bond and never reported. He had active warrants for repeated offenses while missing court appearances.

"Those warrants should have been acted upon, and maybe we wouldn’t be here today. This guy should have been returned to his country."

Friesenhahn’s family remains determined to see the case prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, while coming to terms with the reality of his life-altering injuries.

"Unfortunately, we don’t see this as a road to recovery because there is no recovering from an injury like this. We see it as the beginning of a lifelong fight," Borjon said. "My brother will never walk again. He will never be able to get married or raise a family."

The Bexar County District Attorney's Office declined to comment to Fox News Digital on the status of the case.

Olympic champion Nancy Hogshead honored for advocacy as she pushes WNBA on female eligibility rules

Three-time Olympic swimming champion Nancy Hogshead was honored Thursday for her work advocating for female athletes as she continues to push the WNBA to formally adopt female-only eligibility rules.

Hogshead received the U.S. Olympians and Paralympians Association’s Dorothy Franey Langkop Ambassador Award, which recognizes continued service to the Olympic and Paralympic movement after an athlete’s competitive career.

"It was just really nice to be recognized by my peers," Hogshead told OutKick in an exclusive interview Friday.

The civil rights attorney and founder of Champion Women has spent years working on Title IX compliance, protections against sexual abuse in sports and the preservation of female athletic categories.

Her current efforts include a petition calling on the WNBA to explicitly define "woman" as female for eligibility purposes. The petition, launched in August, had accumulated more than 21,000 verified signatures as of Friday.

Hogshead said hundreds of Olympians and Paralympians have also backed the broader effort to preserve women’s sports for female athletes.

"We have 520 Olympians and Paralympians that have signed on to our petition," she told OutKick. "People who are in sport, they want sport to be formally sex-segregated."

Hogshead wore an XX-XY Athletics shirt to Thursday’s ceremony and said she received an overwhelmingly positive response from other attendees.

"People came up to me all night long and were saying, ‘Thank you so much for what you’re wearing. Thanks so much for what you’re doing. I have daughters. I have granddaughters,’" she said.

During her acceptance speech, Hogshead argued that Olympic and Paralympic athletes have a responsibility to use their platforms to defend the principles that gave them opportunities to compete.

"Every girl in this country who gets a team, a scholarship, a locker room, a coach and a fair sport is standing on what we built," Hogshead said.

"My work has been to defend and further those wins, to make sure that women’s sports remain a space for females, to make sure that girls’ and women’s programs are funded the way that the law requires, not the way that’s necessarily convenient, and to hold our movement accountable for abusive coaches and for the safety of our athletes."

The WNBA’s collective bargaining agreement states that only women are eligible to play in the league but does not further define the term or establish a specific transgender eligibility policy.

The league addressed the debate in August, saying there were "no immediate eligibility matters affecting the WNBA" and denouncing what it called "bad-faith efforts" to demean or marginalize others. Commissioner Cathy Engelbert also said the league would continue discussions with the players’ association while prioritizing fair competition and the integrity of the game.

No transgender woman has played in the WNBA.

Hogshead nevertheless argued the league should establish its rules before a dispute arises.

"Boys and men have invaded virtually every aspect of girls’ sports," she told OutKick. "It’s inevitable that, of course, a male will come in. And why not? You’re the WNBA. Come up with eligibility criteria that is supportive of a female-only category."

Hogshead won three gold medals and one silver at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. Champion Women says its work also helped support the federal legislation that established the U.S. Center for SafeSport and strengthened oversight of abuse within the Olympic movement.

Supreme Court blocks Missouri from using new congressional map in 2026 election

The Supreme Court on Friday ordered Missouri to use its 2022 congressional map in the 2026 election, blocking the state from using a newer map that could have benefited Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections.

The unsigned order drew no noted dissents, with the justices making clear that lower courts should neither prohibit use of Missouri’s 2022 map nor require the state to use the 2025 map.

"The District Court and Court of Appeals should not enjoin or otherwise prohibit the use of the 2022 map in the 2026 congressional election in Missouri," the order states.

"And the District Court and Court of Appeals should not order or otherwise require Missouri to use the 2025 map in the 2026 congressional election in Missouri."

The ruling effectively ends the immediate legal wrangling over which congressional map Missouri will use for the 2026 election, leaving the older boundaries in place.

The Supreme Court ordered Missouri to use its 2022 congressional map for the 2026 election rather than the state’s newer 2025 map.

Brandi Glanville emptied her 401(k) after spending ‘hundreds of thousands’ on medical bills

Brandi Glanville needed a comeback — personally and financially.

After years of costly health struggles turned her life upside down, the former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star told Fox News Digital she needed to get back to work.

"I had the leisure of saying no in the past, but then I had all these medical bills and whatnot," she admitted. "So I had to say yes. And it was kind of like at a time where I needed to prove to myself that I could do it again."

But for Glanville, the financial fallout from her health battle has been just as daunting as the physical toll.

"The medical system here is broken," Glanville explained. "So I have, like, from 8 a.m. on, I have creditors from, like, medical things calling me, like from Cedars-Sinai. It's out of control. Like I spent hundreds of thousands of dollars that I had saved. I emptied my 401(k). And it's all for medical bills. And I had insurance, and they told me nothing was wrong. I'm so angry. You know, going into my mid-fifties I had a cushion and that's gone. So it's very scary right now."

After years of suffering, Glanville revealed in September that she had been diagnosed with highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, coccidioidomycosis, also known as Valley fever, Demodex dermatitis and mononucleosis.

Glanville has said her daily IV treatment was expected to cost between $3,300 and $6,000 per month.

Glanville previously shared that she believed she picked up a parasite after visiting Morocco in 2023. She suffered from facial paralysis and was initially diagnosed with stress-induced angioedema. She told Fox News Digital at the time that she spent more than $70,000 in an attempt to find an answer to the medical mystery that consumed her daily life and disfigured her face.

After everything her body had already endured, Glanville was determined to test her limits on "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test." One challenge pushed those limits further than she expected.

While filming the show, Glanville said contestants were trained on how to fall from a helicopter into the water. But moments before her jump, an instructor told her to keep her head up — a last-second direction she said left her little time to react.

"My head hit the water. It was like a Mack truck – it, like, ran over my head. I thought that was it," she recalled. "And then a few seconds later, my body hits the water so hard. It was paralyzing almost. I was like, 'Oh my God.' But it was in slow motion."

The former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star said she suffered a perforated eardrum, a concussion, a bruised sternum and a cracked rib — injuries that forced her to travel by boat to the hospital because doctors didn't want her flying. Glanville recalled battling an intense headache on top of the excruciating pain from her rib injury, which made it difficult to breathe or cough.

Once at the hospital, Glanville said doctors warned her she couldn't fly and told her she could be stuck there for at least two weeks and potentially need surgery. But after spending several days recovering and returning to the hospital for another evaluation, the reality star said she was determined to leave — even if doctors still weren't thrilled about her getting on a plane.

Battered but undeterred, Glanville said she still considered the experience a personal victory.

"Honestly, I'm so proud of myself. I feel like a badass, even though I didn't last long," she told Fox News Digital. "I went in, I conquered, I got hurt, and then I left and that was enough for me. "

Utah Valley University has released a 158-page report into the circumstances surrounding the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk on campus last year, when he was shot and killed during a public speaking event in the school's central courtyard.

The report, conducted independently by the Lake Forest Group but commissioned and released by the school, identified 10 "key findings" aimed at improving security for future events and concluded that no one at UVU acted "in bad faith or in willful and wanton disregard for the safety of others."

Among those key takeaways, the reviewers found that UVU's application of its own policies "was significantly inconsistent;" security was insufficient for a high-profile, outdoor event and there was no one in the university police department assigned to monitor campus security cameras.

The reviewers also recommended reevaluating staffing levels and training given the university's size and potential for risk.

One concern raised in the report is that while universities have established systems to identify and thwart internal threats since the 2007 Virginia Tech shooting, those measures weren't applicable in the Kirk case because accused assassin Tyler Robinson had no connection to the school.

The report also concluded a timeline of major events in the lead-up to Kirk's visit to UVU between July 10 and Sept. 9, 2025. Several "key decision points" were identified between Aug. 25 and the day of Kirk's murder on Sept. 10.

On Aug. 25, the outdoor courtyard location remained the event venue despite concerns from UVU officials about their ability to control it, according to the review. Two days later, the event was approved without a documented security assessment plan in place. Campus police and TPUSA security had their "first direct security coordination" on Sept. 3, a week before the event.

On Sept. 8, TPUSA organizers raised their concerns about rooftop access in the area above where Kirk would be speaking. The report states that UVU Police Chief Jeffrey Long sent TPUSA security supervisor Dan Flood a text stating, "We got you covered," but the review claims that the text was "in reference to the Hall of Flags outdoor pedestrian walkway."

Flood arrived in person on campus on Sept. 10 with the TPUSA security team.

"Dan Flood, TPUSA Security Supervisor, texted Chief Long advising that TPUSA security personnel had arrived on campus," the report states. "Chief Long engaged in a series of text communications with Flood, to include several regarding individuals located on the Hall of Flags outdoor pedestrian walkway and the Fountain Courtyard area where a canopy would be set up where Kirk would be speaking. These text exchanges revealed the primary security focus for TPUSA was the Hall of Flags outdoor pedestrian walkway above the canopy."

This account differs from language in the Kirk family's notice of claim against UVU, filed last week, which identified the Sorensen Center rooftop as an area of concern, not the Hall of Flags walkway.

The Hall of Flags walkway was closed for the event, but TPUSA security never met with university police in person, according to the review.

Ultimately, prosecutors allege that Robinson climbed atop the Losee Center building, which is to the northeast of the courtyard, and fired the fatal shot from there.

The Hall of Flags walkway is directly above where Kirk was speaking. The Sorenson Center is the building to the north. The Losee Center is to the northeast.

"This report reaffirms the facts we laid out in our Notice of Claim: that UVU security was woefully understaffed and unprepared to manage the obvious risks associated with an event of this nature," Kirk family attorney Brett Parkinson said in a statement to Fox News Digital Friday.

"UVU hosted this event, and in doing so, assumed responsibility for the safety of all in attendance, including Charlie."

A university spokesperson told Fox News the school has no further comment beyond a statement released on behalf of UVU President Jon Anderson.

UK Prime Minister says football fans 'singled out' by alcohol ban not imposed on rugby matches

United Kingdom Prime Minister Andy Burnham is pushing back against England’s restrictions on alcohol at men’s soccer matches, calling the ban "discrimination" and suggesting the rules could be tested on a trial basis.

Burnham told reporters, "I don’t think it’s fair for football fans to be singled out," as he argued that they should not face restrictions that do not apply to spectators at other sporting events.

Under current laws, fans are prohibited from drinking alcohol in view of the pitch at stadiums hosting clubs in England’s top five tiers of men’s football. Those restrictions do not apply to other sports.

The Football Supporters’ Association, which advocates for football fans in England and Wales, has called for the "outdated" legislation to be reviewed. Police chiefs, however, have warned against relaxing the law and want to meet with Burnham to "explain the challenges."

The legislation dates to 1985, when it was introduced by Margaret Thatcher’s government for football grounds in England and Wales. Then-Home Secretary Leon Brittan said alcohol was a "major contributory factor in violent and disorderly behavior" at stadiums.

Burnham’s connection to the sport is personal. He is a proud football fan and a season-ticket holder at Everton, the Premier League club.

Prior to becoming the head of government of the U.K., Burnham spoke out against restrictions on football fans while attending a rugby league match at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium. Unlike during men’s football games, spectators were allowed to consume alcohol in the stands.

While in New York City for the United Nations General Assembly, Burnham was asked whether his position had changed now that he was in Downing Street. "I think that legislation dates to an era where football was very different," the prime minister replied.

"And I do believe there is a case to remove that discrimination. There are different ways it could be done. It could happen on a trial basis. But I'm not going to back away from what's been a long held view of mine. I don't see how it can be fair that some supporters of one sport can be treated differently."

Government sources told the BBC that Burnham was restating a long-held personal view rather than announcing a new government policy. Within government, however, the comments are not being interpreted as a sign that Burnham intends to change the law, according to the outlet.

A spokesman for the U.K. Football Policing Unit warned that changing the law could create new challenges for police and raise concerns about the "safety of staff and fans at football games."

The spokesman said: "Other sports simply don't see the violence and criminal behavior from their supporters that football does, albeit a minority, with alcohol often playing a significant part in violent and disorderly behavior."

FSA chairman Tom Greatrex pushed back against that argument, saying it was "unfair to criminalize football fans for having a pint while watching the match, especially since you can sit in the same seat drinking alcohol (while) watching an Oasis gig or rugby league."

Calling out federal waste and foreign aid subsidies while pointing to his own record of bucking party leadership in Tallahassee, GOP 14th congressional district nominee Mike Beltran promises to bring a sharp litigator’s cross-examination to Washington’s budget crisis.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital detailing his bid to unseat 20-year Democratic incumbent Kathy Castor, the former Florida state representative laid out a case rooted in strict fiscal accountability, pledged to challenge even Republican leadership on bloated federal budgets, and warned of the Democrats' embrace of socialism.

Beltran argues that despite her lengthy tenure on Capitol Hill, the people of Tampa Bay have not been served well by Kathy Castor.

"People in Tampa Bay have precious little to show for Kathy Castor's two decades of incumbency. She's had no major legislative initiatives. All she's really done is rename post offices. And all that's likely to happen if we reelect her is for her to rename every post office from Tampa to Timbuktu.

"She votes with her party over 90% of the time, including radical socialists. She voted in lockstep with Nancy Pelosi and she's poised to elect the Speaker Hakeem Jeffries. And Speaker Hakeem Jeffries would appoint a Chair Raskin, a Chair Omar, a Chair Cortez, and those folks would push radical policies in Congress that are completely out of line with what Tampa families need."

Beltran argues that in the Florida Legislature he served as an independent conservative voice, not automatically beholden to party leadership, and pledges to continue that approach in Washington.

"I've had the courage to vote against special interests even when my own party had lost its way. I've voted against insurance companies, home builders, trial lawyers, I voted against various special interests…whenever somebody was doing something that wasn't good for Tampa families.

"And I had that bipartisan record throughout my time, starting in 2019 and continuing through to 2024, unlike my opponent who discovered bipartisanship merely weeks ago. So I'm always going to do what's best for the communities that I represent, regardless of party, regardless of special interests, regardless of pressure. And that's what I'm proud of, having that independent voting record."

Beltran argues that the United States needs to reexamine its military and geopolitical relationships, with an eye to fiscal prudence:

"It cannot be a one-sided exchange. You cannot have a wealthy country like Germany spend under 2% of GDP on their military when we're spending over 5% of our GDP on our military budgets, about a trillion dollars. And a lot of that is spent overseas protecting other wealthy countries.

"You see Ukraine and Israel, they're defending themselves from their adversaries. They're doing a good job of that. But we are borrowing $2 trillion a year from countries like China. And that's causing inflation. And what that says is that we don't have money to be sending, particularly to wealthy allies like Germany and Spain.

"These are countries where we have bases, where we've had trouble getting basing privileges or overflight rights for the conflicts that we do need to engage in. And we shouldn't be subsidizing them anymore.

"You see Israel spends over 10% of GDP on defense, as does South Korea. Those countries are carrying the weight of their own defense, but we don't see that from all of our NATO allies. And they're a lot closer to these rogue states, to these conflict regions than we are. They should be doing more, and they're doing less, and that's unacceptable."

As an attorney, Beltran makes the case that he will bring a strong skill-set to Capitol Hill, to do away with business as usual and to fight for the citizens of Hillsborough County:

"My legal skills are quite good. I'm a good cross examiner. I'll be good at scrutinizing witnesses who come before committees that I serve on. I've litigated in the federal courts, so I know the federal statutes. I know issues that need to be redressed. I know how to write statutes so that they can be easily applied by judges, so that attorneys can counsel their clients on what the law is and what they need to do to comply with that.

"I'm proud to be a practicing attorney. I've helped a lot of businesses and individuals throughout Tampa Bay for almost 20 years.

"And my opponent is also an attorney, but she hasn't practiced in a very long time. She was, I think, a land use attorney, she says, before she was a county commissioner. In fact, it's kind of difficult to identify anything that she's enacted that's of any particular value to Tampa or otherwise."

Kathy Castor has repeatedly voted against the interests of ordinary Americans in Florida's 14th district, Beltran argues:

"Well, she opposed tax cuts for the middle class and working class and retirees. She opposed removing taxes on tips, removing taxes on Social Security, removing taxes on overtime.

"And she wanted to pay, through taxpayer funds, for trans surgeries for children. And that was a very recent vote. That wasn't something that we have to reach into ancient history to find. And I opposed that.

"I see no reason why a single mother here in Hillsborough County should be paying taxes to pay for trans surgeries for minors while she actually is being taxed on her overtime or her tips."

Beltran pledges to confront the leadership of his own party if he disagrees with their policies, but also notes he will work with Democrats:

"Obviously, we've had Republicans who have also spent too much money. And so I'm going to go to Washington. I'm going to work with my party, and I'll work across the aisle, and I'll work with any administration that's in power to identify waste, fraud, and abuse, identify unnecessary government programs, identify savings, and identify cost controls, and make sure that we are the fiscal conservatives that we say we are.

"That's what's necessary to save this country because we need to balance the budget and we need pay down the debt and we need to live within our means, because if we don't balance our budget, then the budget will be balanced for us and it will be done when somebody cuts off our credit and people stop lending to us."

Finally, as democratic socialist candidates have won Democratic primaries across the nation and in Florida, Beltran notes that Castor has consistently refused to condemn socialist ideology, or candidates with such views in her own party.

"We see Kathy Castor, who's embraced Angie Nixon, who is one of those avowed socialist candidates. She said that her party was a big tent party, and that needs to be a very big tent to accommodate Angie Nixon…I'm not sure I'd like to be in a tent of any size with her, but my opponent welcomes her with open arms.

"And she's going to vote in lockstep with these socialists, first to elect Hakeem Jeffries and then to appoint these socialists to committee chairmanships. She's done very little to distance herself from the radicals within her party. Even as she masquerades recently as a moderate, she will empower the socialists.

"And that's really what's at stake in November. It's not just me, it's not just Kathy Castor, it is the direction of the country and whether we're going to embrace these radical policies, or whether we are going to have economic growth and prosperity and safety here in the United States."

Carville says the GOP is better than Democrats at one key skill the 2028 Dem nominee will need

Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville said Republicans are better at pushing positive and negative narratives than Democrats on Thursday and warned his party that its 2028 nominee will need that skill to win.

Carville has frequently condemned the Trump administration, predicting that 2026 will be a year of landmark victories for the Democratic Party. He has suggested multiple times that President Donald Trump, after presumably losing political power in the midterms, may resign from office early and be pardoned by Vice President JD Vance after Vance becomes president.

One listener, however, contacted Carville and his co-host Al Hunt on their "Politics War Room" podcast, juxtaposing how Republicans and Democrats talk about each other.

"He wants to know why the Republicans are so much better than the Democrats at creating boogeymen," Hunt summarized. "Republicans will paint all Democrats with a socialist brush, yet Democrats can’t seem to do the same thing when it comes to racism, antisemitism or corruption, despite the fact that all three are prevalent among Republican members of Congress."

"The gist of the question is Republicans are very good at painting Democrats as boogeymen, socialists, communists, all that kind of stuff," Hunt continued. "But the Democrats don’t do as good a job, Rob worries, about painting Republicans with their racism, antisemitism, etc."

Carville argued that the Republicans are doing so badly they may not even need the Democrats to condemn them.

"First of all, it is a good question," Carville replied. "Secondly, what’s happened now is they’re painting themselves that way, OK? They’re going down not because of Democratic messaging, not because of a relentless offense by the Democrats that, you know, points out their foibles. They’re going down because the public sees it, and they don’t need that. A Democratic intervention right now is not called for."

Carville said that the Democratic nominee will need to master this skill to win in 2028.

"The gist of the question from our listener is totally correct. And for whatever reasons, Ben [sic], I think it’s because we’re more of a coalition. Not only do we not have a consistent negative story to tell about the other party, we don’t have a consistent positive story to tell about ourselves," he said. "Hope and pray that in 2028 we have a really skilled candidate that’s able to do that."

"But that is a fact of American politics," he added. "We’re not as good as they are at the negative, and we’re not as good as they are at a positive."

SOCIALISTS ARE HELPING GOP CAMPAIGNS HEADING INTO NOVEMBER

Mary Marslender, a former senior advisor to Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., and a former Trump appointee who is now a Republican consultant, said there is a disparity in how well each side uses that rhetoric against the other.

"It isn’t even close, and it isn’t the disparity Carville thinks it is," she told Fox News Digital. "When Republicans label Democrats as socialists, it’s not just empty rhetoric; it’s grounded in how many Democrats describe themselves. Recent polling found that 59 percent of Democrats identify as supporters of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA)."

"The DSA has openly advocated for policies such as court-packing, sweeping changes to financial institutions, the abolition of capitalism, open borders, eliminating prisons and the Senate, and expanding administrative power. The Democratic Party has embraced socialism, and there seems to be no turning back," Marslender continued.

However, she disagreed with Carville's comment that Republicans have already destroyed their own reputation without Democratic help.

"Carville’s claim is more political spin than reality," Marslender said. "If Republicans had truly destroyed their own credibility, Democrats would not need Carville’s advice to ‘sit this one out.’ In fact, Carville reveals the Democratic Party’s real problem: they lack both a compelling message and a strong messenger, and are now hoping for a ‘really skilled candidate in 2028.’"

"A party that has watched the Trump administration deliver on border security, energy independence, and prioritizing American workers cannot credibly claim that Republicans have already undermined themselves," she continued. "If Republicans were as self-destructive as Carville claims, Democrats wouldn’t be waiting for a future savior; they would already be capitalizing on Republicans’ so-called failures. Carville’s argument underscores that Democrats still recognize weaknesses in their own positioning and strategy."

Julian Epstein, an attorney, Democratic consultant and former Democratic chief counsel for the House Judiciary Committee, said some of Carville's comments were "delusion."

"Some of this is progressive delusion," he said. "For the last decade, Democrats, in non-stop fashion, have sought to commodify rage by calling Trump a fascist, deriding Trump’s attempt to stop a Nazi movement in the Mideast, and blaming him for a cost-of-living crisis that Democrats mostly authored under Biden’s 20% cumulative inflation. Most of what Democrats do today is name-calling."

"Democrats failure to tell a ‘positive story’ is not a communications problem, it’s a philosophy problem," Epstein added. "It dismays many of us centrists, but the left’s program today is almost entirely identity grievance and tax-and-spend redistributionist big government, which appeals to, at most, 25% of voters — about the same low number of voters that actually identify as Democrats today."

"Democrats have forgotten how to build," he continued. "They have forgotten that the story of America is one of innovation, invention and discovery, not resentment and big government bureaucracies."

"At the same time, it is also true that the GOP is squandering its 2024 mandate," Epstein added. "Its tripping over itself with badly designed tariffs, has failed to show in a forward-looking manner that building new housing and increasing competition in health insurance can cure a lot of the affordability problem, and has failed to explain that we are fighting a KKK-like ideology in the Mideast. Unlike the Democrats’ philosophy problem, the GOP has a yawning communications’ problem."

Indiana attorney general sues high school sports association over race-based board quota

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita has sued the state’s governing body for high school athletics over a policy that reserves two seats on its board of directors for racial minorities.

The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in Marion County Superior Court, seeks to force the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) to eliminate a provision reserving two of its 19 board seats for "qualified minorities." The association’s bylaws define a minority director as "an individual other than a white male or female."

"Hoosier students should not be governed by a sports association that picks its leaders based on race," Rokita said in a statement announcing the lawsuit. "IHSAA’s quota tells kids that skin color, rather than merit, is an appropriate way to judge people."

"That lesson has no place in Indiana’s education system, and, regardless, the law does not permit it," he continued. "The IHSAA exists to build character. A racial litmus test for choosing leadership on the IHSAA’s board does the opposite, and after months of delay, the Association left us no choice but to take legal action."

The state’s complaint alleges the quota constitutes an "overt racial classification" that treats potential board members differently based solely on their race. It accuses the IHSAA of violating Indiana’s nonprofit laws by abusing its authority, misapplying corporate assets and acting inconsistently with its stated public purpose.

The lawsuit asks the court to issue a permanent injunction requiring the IHSAA to immediately remove the racial qualification from its bylaws and prohibit the association from adopting future policies that allocate board seats based on race. It also seeks a declaration that the existing provisions violate Indiana law.

The IHSAA defended its policies in a statement Thursday and said it was disappointed Rokita proceeded with litigation.

"The IHSAA disagrees with any suggestion that our bylaws violate federal and state civil rights laws or in any way constitute an abuse of its nonprofit status," the organization said. "To the contrary, the IHSAA is committed to serving all student-athletes and member schools throughout Indiana. Consistent with that mission, we value broad representation and diverse perspectives among those who help guide and support interscholastic athletics across the state."

The organization added that the lawsuit was filed despite its willingness to consider Rokita’s concerns through its "established governance and bylaw review processes."

"For more than a century, the IHSAA has governed high school athletics on behalf of its member schools," the statement said. "It is unfortunate that distractions like today’s lawsuit take away from what really matters: the student-athletes."

The lawsuit marks the latest escalation in a dispute first brought into public view last year.

Fox News Digital reported in May 2025 that the Pacific Legal Foundation and Equal Protection Project had sent a letter demanding that the IHSAA remove race- and sex-based requirements from its board-selection process.

At the time, the bylaws provided for a 19-member board that included two "qualified female representatives" and two "qualified minorities." The groups warned that legal action could follow if the provisions were not removed.

"We hope that IHSAA will do the right thing and voluntarily remedy the discriminatory bylaws provisions, but if it does not, all legal options are on the table," Equal Protection Project founder William A. Jacobson told Fox News Digital at the time.

Pacific Legal Foundation attorney Laura D’Agostino similarly argued that candidates should be evaluated on their qualifications rather than their demographic characteristics.

"Public boards should reflect the talents and commitment of all citizens, not arbitrary categories of race or sex," D’Agostino told Fox News Digital. "Every individual who wants to step up and serve their community should be encouraged to do so based on what they bring to the table, not held back because of who they are."

According to the new complaint, Rokita’s office separately directed the IHSAA in April 2026 to remove its racial quota. The association responded in June that it disagreed with the attorney general’s legal position but would consider the issue during its next round of bylaw amendments in May 2027.

After further correspondence and an Aug. 25 meeting of the IHSAA Executive Committee produced no immediate change, Rokita’s office proceeded with the lawsuit.

The complaint says the IHSAA has used some form of a racial requirement for board membership since 1993. The current definition has remained in place since the association’s 2001-02 bylaws, according to the filing.

Roads were starting to be closed, students were roaming around Tennessee's campus on their way from class, while a number of Texas Longhorn fans took in the sights on this beautiful day before a top-15 showdown in the SEC.

It's all adding up for a monumental afternoon in Knoxville, as Arch Manning makes his first ever stop at the University of Tennessee in hopes of beating his uncle Peyton's beloved Vols.

Essentially, this game has everything you could ask for in college football. And, if the previous two weeks in Austin and Oxford are any indication, we are in for one heck of an afternoon.

As you made your way around the beautiful Tennessee campus, it wasn’t hard to pick up on the anticipation of Saturday's game. For only the fifth time in each team's history, the Vols and Longhorns will play each other, with this one taking place inside the historic Neyland Stadium.

Standing inside the Tennessee apparel store, fans ran into former wide receiver Joey Kent.

Around other parts of campus, Peyton Manning took time to visit with students, one day after country star Ella Langley brought her expansive tour to the Vols basketball arena.

But, there is also something to be said for the visiting fans who are lucky enough to make the trip to Tennessee for the game on Saturday. There were plenty of Texas fans wearing burnt orange roaming the beautiful campus, throwing up the signature 'Hook em' as they ran into some of their own.

For the first time this season, Arch Manning and the Longhorns have hit the road, with 102,000 fans waiting for their arrival on Saturday morning.

"This place is gorgeous, and I'm not afraid to pay an opponent a compliment," one Texas fan told OutKick. "I've been to a number of SEC campuses, but this one might take the cake on Saturday (besides DKR). Everyone has been so nice to us since we arrived on Thursday, and the downtown scene with what i think is 'Market Square' is gorgeous.

"But, it will end up being a whole lot better when we leave here with a win."

At just about every corner around Neyland Stadium, you could see security preparing for Donald Trump's arrival.

Meetings were being held outside Tennessee's cathedral, while it wasn’t hard to notice officers walking the perimeter, even if they were plain-clothed officers.

The security has obviously been increased ahead of President Donald Trump touching down just miles away from campus.

Tennessee officials were so hellbent on getting fans inside the stadium before kickoff, amid the increased law enforcement traffic, that they are offering half-priced concessions from 9 a.m. ET to 10 a.m. ET inside Neyland Stadium, including alcohol.

As for fans and students on the Tennessee campus, the presence of President Donald Trump brought a mixed bag of feelings.

"Why in the world would he (Trump) choose this game? He should have gone to Florida or something," one student told OutKick. "This place is going to be a traffic nightmare already. But, I guess he has to garner some more support for a bill (Protect College Sports Act) that does not help the everyday citizen."

Another student, who found out about Trump coming to campus on Friday morning, was excited about being in the same stadium as a sitting president.

"Look, I'll be able to one day tell my children I got to watch a football game in the same stadium as the President," a Tennessee sophomore told OutKick. "I really don't care what side of the aisle you're on or how bad the traffic will be, it's actually pretty cool."

That's one way to entice fans to enter the gates early: just offer them cheap beer that will take some of the sting away from potentially missing out on a full-blown tailgate.

While the exact time has yet to be announced, due to security measures, the President will most likely be scene from inside the stadium as Air Force One flies over before landing at Tyson McGee Airport. Then, he will depart for Tennessee's campus via motorcade, with a number of streets being blocked off on Friday night in advance of his arrival.

Somewhat lost in all of the pregame talk of security and traffic concerns, we are prepared to witness a monumental game between two storied programs.

And yes, there will be plenty of family members with the last name 'Manning' in the house to either cheer on their nephew Arch, or quietly pull for the Tennessee Vols.

You can obviously expect Peyton Manning to be torn, though he clearly wants to see his nephew find some type of success in the same stadium that the elder-Manning set multiple passing records.

But, this is also a showdown between two teams fighting to keep a goose-egg in the loss column.

Can Tennessee upset the No. 1 ranked Longhorns behind true-freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon? Sure they can, though relying on his running backs will play a pivotal part in this matchup. We all saw what Arch did through three quarters against Ohio State two weeks ago, and it wasn’t as if he lit up the scoreboard last week against UTSA.

For the Vols to beat Texas, it will take a monumental effort from a defensive unit led by All-SEC linebacker Arion Carter. And, this won't be an easy game for that group, as linebackers coach William Ingle is currently hospitalized with an unknown illness just a few miles away from the Tennessee campus.

Though, as we've seen over the past three weeks in college football, anything is possible once you hit the field, and it would not be shocking if No. 14 Tennessee pulled off the upset on Saturday afternoon.

Either way, we are set to see a number of firsts in Knoxville.

The Department of Homeland Security issued a stark warning after more than 300 cartel drones were detected along the southern border in just over a month.

According to the Department of War, 378 cartel drones were detected at the southern border between Aug. 22 and Thursday. Of those, 75 drones were turned back, 15 were engaged and one was captured. Fox News Digital previously reported that the War Department’s Joint Task Force – Southern Border took down "approximately" 100 suspected cartel drones in August alone.

In response to the threat, the Department of War and DHS are increasing their use of drone detection and interception tools along the southern border. The agencies are also working with private companies to develop technology to counter the increased presence of cartel drones.

In a statement posted on X, DHS wrote that "hostile surveillance of American personnel ends here."

"To the Cartels," DHS wrote, "Your drones are failing, your tactics are being exposed, and you have no advantage. @CBP and @DeptofWar will keep taking them down."

In an interview with Fox News, Jeffrey Stalnaker, deputy chief patrol agent for Border Patrol, said cartels primarily use drones for reconnaissance during drug and human smuggling operations rather than for smuggling.

Cartels previously sent lookouts to monitor Border Patrol agents and other U.S. personnel but now use drones to watch from overhead.

"They’re watching when our soldiers and our agents are coming into the field, where they’re working, and then that allows them to plan how they’re going to send individuals north from Mexico into the United States illegally, trying to circumvent us between the ports of entry," he explained.

Federal officials told Fox News that U.S. anti-drone measures at the southern border have succeeded so far, but cartel drone tactics are rapidly evolving. Some cartel drones are known to be used for lethal purposes, but officials said those have not yet been encountered at the border. For the past three weeks, the U.S. military has been conducting exercises in the desert outside Yuma, Arizona, testing new anti-drone gear ranging from guns and unmanned aerial vehicles to drone-capturing technology.

Brigadier General Jason Rueschhoff, director of operations for U.S. Northern Command, told Fox News, "We are developing capability at a pace that is keeping ahead of our enemy, and that's really important. And that's what happens here."

Fox News Digital reported at the start of the month that Joint Task Force – Southern Border was carrying out drone takedowns using specialized counter-drone equipment provided and integrated by other military units, according to a senior War Department official.

The official said each operation was planned and closely coordinated with the Mexican military and border authorities to prevent interference or unintended conflicts between forces operating on either side of the border.

The New York Giants are (Jaxson) Dart-broken.

The promising young quarterback reportedly underwent surgery on his meniscus Friday, just two days after head coach John Harbaugh said he would be done for the regular season. Famed agent Leigh Steinberg said he would advise the 23-year-old quarterback to look at the big picture.

"I think the key is to look at the long-term interests of Jaxson Dart, which are the same as the long-term interests of the Giants, and get the best medical advice, get the best operation. Put all your energy and effort into rehabbing because the truth is Jaxson Dart will have a long and illustrious career," Steinberg told OutKick in a recent interview.

Dart was injured when he was hit by two defenders, one low and one high, with one of the Los Angeles Rams edge rushers hitting the young quarterback in the knee at an awkward angle. While the crushing injury was a devastating blow in the Giants’ 28-6 Week 2 loss to the Rams on Monday, it also cast a pall over their entire season.

Dart’s days will go from being on the field to instead rehabbing with the trainers every day. Steinberg said athletes have a remarkable ability to recover and bounce back and is confident Dart will return to form.

Steinberg noted that Dart was not the only quarterback to sustain an injury in the first two weeks of the season. Sam Darnold, Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Kyler Murray have all dealt with injuries, and the legendary agent wondered if that has anything to do with offseason training.

"Does the fact that there’s no offseason hitting and very little playing in training camp for starters make them more susceptible to being in shape, but not yet in football shape? Meaning having taken the number of hits, it makes them more susceptible to injuries," Steinberg said.

Regardless of why quarterbacks get hurt, Steinberg stressed the importance of having quality backups going into the season because it is hard to make a move during the season.

"Because of the cap, other than picking someone off of a practice squad, there's no availability of quality quarterbacks just sitting at home watching television," Steinberg said.

As Singham faces federal probe, wife marches in anti-Israel protest led by groups he funded

NEW YORK — A network funded by Neville Roy Singham, a communist tech tycoon living in Shanghai, mounted a coordinated anti-Israel protest through Midtown Manhattan Thursday after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the United Nations, deploying field marshals, pre-made signs, banners, megaphones, drums, portable sound equipment and a stage for a four-hour demonstration.

At 3:40 p.m. Thursday, field marshals and foot soldiers from the People’s Forum Inc. connected to their "comrades" in the Singham network at the steps of the New York Public Library on Fifth Avenue. Fox News Digital watched the operation unfold from setup to breakdown.

At the center of the protest was Jodie Evans, Singham’s wife, a longtime leader at the People’s Forum and the co-founder of CodePink — a nonprofit that has operated within the broader pro-communist activist network funded by her husband. As Fox News Digital first reported, the Justice Department's U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York opened a grand jury investigation into alleged money laundering, bank fraud and wire fraud by Singham and his network. Singham and the organizations he has funded haven't been charged with any crimes.

As the march moved through Manhattan, self-declared "comrades" of the Revolutionary Communists of America chanted, "Long live the intifada," while Evans and activists from other organizations within the Singham network marched alongside members of the Democratic Socialists of America.

"Intifada! Intifada! Long live the intifada!" the crowd shouted, chanting the term used by Palestinian militants to violently oppose the existence of the state of Israel.

Earlier, police arrested actress Susan Sarandon, a regular speaker at People’s Forum events and protests, after demonstrators blocked First Avenue in an anti-Israel sit-in. CodePink co-founder Medea Benjamin and actress Cynthia Nixon were also among the protesters. The demonstration included activists from Jewish Voice for Peace, another partner of the Singham network whose leaders have advocated replacing Israel with a state called "Palestine."

By the end of the evening, at 8:08 p.m., Fox News Digital observed the protesters rolling their carts back to the People’s Forum Inc., the network’s Midtown headquarters on W. 37th Street and a key organizing hub for the Singham network’s street demonstrations on issues from Israel to anti-American tech. Congressional lawmakers, the Justice Department and federal, state and local policymakers have criticized the groups as antisemitic, anti-American and "Trojan horses" for the Chinese Communist Party.

The protest machine

The day’s events, documented in real time by a Fox News Digital investigative team, provided a rare, on-the-ground view of the infrastructure behind the network’s protests. The operation involved assigned marshals, paid nonprofit staff, pre-made signs, portable sound equipment, rolling wagons, a stage, coordinated slogans and a media team producing content for online distribution.

While not every group participating in the demonstration was directly funded by Singham, the personnel and logistics showed how organizations with overlapping leadership, funding and messaging can operate together to turn a political flashpoint into a professionally-managed street campaign.

SOCIALIST, COMMUNIST GROUPS COORDINATE, PROMOTE 'SPONTANEOUS' ANTI-ICE PROTESTS IN AUSTIN

The appearance of Singham’s wife alongside leaders and activists from the People’s Forum, BreakThrough News, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, the Palestinian Youth Movement and a "Shut It Down for Palestine" campaign provides visible evidence of the Singham network’s central role in organizing and promoting anti-Israel protests, particularly in the aftermath of Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attacks on Israel.

The coordinated signage and equipment revealed an organizing and logistics infrastructure that moved people, messaging and materials through the city for three hours. Fox News Digital has observed the same materials at a number of separate protests, targeting not only Israel but rallying support for the Islamic Republic of Iran, the communist regimes of Venezuela and Cuba, and fighting data centers and American AI. That infrastructure helps explain how the same network has repeatedly transformed breaking news and political flashpoints into large, highly-coordinated anti-Israel protests across the country.

The protest’s visible organization reflected the scale of the financial network behind some of its leading participants. After his wedding to Evans in 2017 and the sale of ThoughtWorks, the technology company he founded, Singham directed $285 million to nonprofits and media organizations, according to a Fox News Digital investigation. The People’s Forum received $22.4 million from Singham, while CodePink received $1.33 million. BreakThrough BT Media Inc., which operates BreakThrough News, received $1.098 million, according to tax filings.

In his United Nations address, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the demonstrators "phony human rights protesters" who have been silent in speaking out against atrocities by the Islamic Republic of Iran against its citizens.

Evans’ presence also offered an unusually direct view of the people behind the anti-Israel protest machine that has mobilized repeatedly across New York and other American cities against Israel.

The Singham network

At about 4 p.m., Manolo De Los Santos, executive director at the People’s Forum, arrived and moved near the anti-Israel signs his foot soldiers had rolled onto the steps of the New York Public Library. A lieutenant handed out signs calling for sanctions against Israel and declaring, "WAR CRIMINALS NOT WELCOME" and "NEW YORK REJECTS ZIONISM." At the bottom, the signs carried the branding of a communist group that the People’s Forum works with closely: the Party for Socialism and Liberation, which doesn’t publicly disclose its finances.

Beside De Los Santos stood Layan Fuleihan, a controversial fixture in anti-Israel protests. Fuleihan, a Palestinian American, spoke at an Oct. 8, 2023, protest that the People’s Forum organized, supporting the Hamas attack on Israel and saying, "Yesterday, the world woke up to incredible news. The media will tell you that yesterday, terrorists invaded Israel. But we know that actually what happened is that the oppressed people of Palestine broke out of the open-air prison they have been subjected to."

People’s Forum posted the video on its own X account. In the same video, De Los Santos declared, "If you listen to the media in this country, you will think the war started 48 hours ago. We know this war started 75 years ago," with the birth of the state of Israel. Fuleihan didn’t reply to questions from Fox News Digital.

REPORT: CHINESE PROPAGANDA, SINGHAM NETWORK, FOREIGN DARK MONEY LINKED TO CAMPAIGNS AGAINST DATA CENTERS

The demonstration also showed the role of paid personnel in the network’s street protest operations. Fuleihan was paid $78,649 as the People’s Forum’s education director, while David Chung, the organization’s organizing director, earned $76,249, according to the nonprofit’s latest IRS filings. Their presence alongside field marshals, volunteer coordinators and campaign organizers showed an operation with designated personnel responsible for recruitment, messaging, crowd movement and event logistics.

Nearby, towering over many of the protesters, Taher Dahleh, an organizer with another partner of the People’s Forum — the Palestinian Youth Movement — moved through the crowd, grabbing a Winstone Blue cigarette from another activist, directing demonstrators and coordinating the march. He has been a familiar presence at anti-Israel demonstrations since Oct. 7, 2023, regularly hosting volunteer meetings on Monday nights at the People’s Forum for a campaign called "Shut It Down For Palestine." During the "March on Washington to Let Gaza Live!" that People’s Forum co-organized in November 2025, Dahleh slammed "tech companies" for allegedly contributing to the "slaughter" of Palestinians by selling services to the government of Israel.

Between late 2023 and late 2024, far-left nonprofit WesPac Foundation Inc. gave Palestinian Youth Movement $1 million through its nonprofit fiscal sponsor, Honor the Earth, according to tax filings. Records show it’s received funds from several other sources over the years. The Palestinian Youth Movement still shares a post on its Facebook page from years ago, quoting a young Palestinian killed after murdering three Israelis: "You who possess arms and bullets, remember that there is an enemy so that you may put your bullets in their bodies, not the bodies of your own people." Dahleh didn’t respond to a request for comment.

The protest followed a familiar playbook that Evans, De Los Santos, Fuleihan, Dahleh, Chung, the People’s Forum and the Singham network have used since Oct. 7, 2023, to mobilize students at Columbia University, launch a campus encampment and storm Grand Central Terminal. Since then, the same constellation of communist, socialist and anti-war groups has repeatedly turned out for protests over Israel, ICE, the Trump administration, the war against the Islamic Republic of Iran, the arrest of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro and other political flashpoints — including protests against U.S. data centers, American AI, and U.S. technology companies like Palantir Technologies, Microsoft and Google.

This time, Dahleh and People’s Forum field marshals led the activists from the steps of the public library on Fifth Avenue to E. 42nd Street, where they headed eastbound toward the United Nations past Grand Central Station. Inside the crowd, the network’s social media operation made the march seem like a spontaneous display of mass public anger. At 5:20 p.m., with the march still in force, People’s Forum posted a tightly-cropped video on X, showing demonstrators streaming below flapping American flags with a caption celebrating a "massive crowd of protesters taking to the streets demanding war criminal Netanyahu be brought to justice! Free Palestine!"

However, outside the limited mile-long path of the march, New Yorkers went about their ordinary days. The repeated appearance of the same organizations, leaders, signs, sound systems, wagons and protest infrastructure rolling through the streets of New York City revealed the professional organizing system operating behind the scenes, not a "massive crowd."

Jodie Evans takes center stage

On E. 42nd Street, Evans — Singham’s wife and a central figure in the network surrounding the People’s Forum and other Singham-funded organizations — smiled widely as she kept step with the activists, marching behind the bright yellow-and-black signs marked "Party for Socialism and Liberation."

Evans marched with CodePink activists behind a large "STOP ARMING ISRAEL" banner and carried a poster depicting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as "WANTED" for "GENOCIDE."

Evans stood out in trademark CodePink colors, wearing an oversized fuchsia hat, pink peace-sign earrings, dark glasses, a pink-and-white keffiyeh and a shirt reading "I ♥ Palestinian Human Rights."

Her appearance placed a member of the financier’s immediate family directly in the middle of the protest activity his money has helped sustain.

When Fox News Digital asked her about her husband’s funding for nonprofits leading anti-Israel protests, she didn’t answer the question directly and responded, "He’s not been in the United States for six-and-a-half years."

When asked about his position on the protests, she answered: "He supports stopping a genocide, you bet."

Evans laughed off questions about Singham backing the Chinese Communist Party. In a video that Fox News Digital unearthed, Singham stood at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Shanghai during a November 2025 conference and expressed support for "a new world order that is based on multilateralism that President Xi and the CPC [Communist Party of China] and China have proposed."

LAWMAKERS THROW OUT 'TROJAN HORSE' ACTIVISTS THEY SAY ARE ENGAGED IN AMERICAN SUBVERSION

Evans denied allegations from lawmakers on the House Foreign Affairs Committee that the Singham network acts as a "Trojan horse" for the Chinese Communist Party, calling them "a lot of lies."

"We're not doing anything wrong. So it's a lot of ‘alleging,’ and we're very honest about what we do: protesting every day," she said. "That's what we do. And that's what I've done for 55 years."

She got visibly agitated on the topic of China. "China is not our enemy!" she said. "That's the message. You know what? I've been going to China for six and a half years. I can't talk about China. It's complex. I don't understand it. I'm just trying to learn about it. So it's not about China. It's about the United States not using our tax dollars to go to war on China. There's never an excuse to go to war on people."

The protest was also packaged for online amplification. During the march, Zoe Alexandra, news editor of BreakThrough News, moved through the crowd conducting interviews, pulling Danaka Katovich, national co-director of CodePink, away from Evans’ CodePink contingent for a chat. BreakThrough later posted a branded one-minute, 21-second video on X under the headline: "Thousands protest…" Singham gave $1.098 million to Breakthrough BT Media Inc., which operates BreakThrough News, according to tax filings.

SINGHAM-LINKED NONPROFITS FIGHT HOUSE SUBPOENAS, ACCUSE LAWMAKERS OF MCCARTHY-ERA ‘WITCH HUNT’

The protest featured black-and-white keffiyehs, a torched effigy of Netanyahu, bloodied cardboard imagery of Netanyahu and Arabic chants declaring that "Israel will be Arab." Critics say the slogans and imagery go beyond criticism of Israeli policy, invoking violent resistance and portraying the elimination of Israel as a political objective.

To close out the protest near the United Nations, a leader from the Singham network manned the pop-up stage with a black-and-white keffiyeh over his shoulders, his arms tightly crossed, as speakers blasted the U.S. and Israel. As their last speaker, organizers returned to another leader from the People's Forum, Tajee Bounds, who serves as membership, events and volunteer coordinator.

A graduate of Columbia University, Bounds was in the middle of the campus’s first encampment in April 2024 with People's Forum organizers when he stood, holding a banner and yelling along with a chant: "Up, up with liberation! Down, down with occupation!" The Columbia Spectator posted a video with his proclamation.

Packing up the protest

"Glory, glory to our martyrs," an activist chanted, before Bounds took the microphone at 6:31 p.m. to lead the crowd in a chant: "Gaza! Gaza! You will rise!"

At 7:01 p.m., People’s Forum activists began rolling away their wagon full of yellow-and-black signs, set upside down, declaring, "ARREST WAR CRIMINAL BENJAMIN NETANYAHU!" Bounds and others began breaking down their stage and speaker system.

For a dramatic backdrop, the protest moved west on 42nd Street to Times Square, like so many protests have ended before. There, CodePink's Benjamin, Evans' fellow co-founder and a guest at Singham and Evans’ wedding in 2017, created a video for Instagram with herself standing in front of the protesters wearing a black-and-white keffiyeh scarf and narrating to the camera the day's events: "These protests against Netanyahu and the Israeli regime have been going on since 10 a.m. All day long! Now it’s nighttime!"

CodePink’s message throughout the video repeated the mantra of the day’s protest: "FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA PALESTINE WILL BE FREE."

The videos presented the demonstration as a spontaneous eruption of grassroots anger. But the footage was the product of the same operation it portrayed: professional organizers supplied the signs, sound equipment, rolling carts, stage and coordinated messaging, while BreakThrough News, People’s Forum and CodePink activists recorded and distributed footage from the event. The sequence created a feedback loop in which organizers built the spectacle, captured it on video and circulated the images as evidence of the movement’s scale and momentum.

After the Times Square theater, foot soldiers for the People’s Forum rolled their wagon back onto W. 42nd Street, past the Port Authority and a McDonald’s on Eighth Avenue, with their trademark bright yellow-and-black signs. Others carried the bloodied cardboard imagery of Netanyahu and other protest paraphernalia.

They ended up at the hub of the anti-Israel activist, the headquarters of the People’s Forum on W. 34th Street, carrying signs past books by communist leader Karl Marx and other ideologues.

Inside the People’s Forum's large meeting hall, Chung, organizing director of the People’s Forum, awaited the returning protesters.

De Los Santos greeted them at the door, stepping outside to tell Fox News Digital that he was proud of the group’s work leading the anti-Israel protests for the past three years.

"We organize protests. What is wrong or illegal about that?" De Los Santos said, as his workers drew the shades on the People’s Forum.

He also declared proudly, "Yeah, I am a communist."

Premier League finds Manchester City guilty of more than 100 financial charges: report

The Premier League has reportedly given Manchester City a major red card.

City has been found guilty of more than 100 financial charges that were brought by the league over an eight-year period, according to a report from The Athletic. The punishment has not been decided, and City is expected to appeal potential sanctions, according to the report.

"The Premier League process remains ongoing, with significant elements to be completed, and subject to strict confidentiality. As such Manchester City FC’s position remains consistent with the club’s statement of February 2023," City told The Athletic in a statement.

In November 2018, German outlet Der Spiegel published internal emails from City that it claimed detailed schemes by the club to conceal the true sources of income in a bid to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations. City did not dispute the emails but declined to comment because they came from hackers.

The emails prompted a Premier League investigation. In March 2019, UEFA opened a formal investigation into whether City broke the rules.

In February 2020, City was banned from the Champions League for two seasons by UEFA for "serious breaches" of spending rules and failing to cooperate with investigators. City was also fined 30 million euros (then $33 million). City said UEFA’s investigation was "flawed" and announced plans to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

In July 2020, the Court of Arbitration for Sport overturned City’s ban but still imposed a 10 million-euro ($11.3 million) fine for lack of cooperation with investigators.

In 2023, City was referred to an independent commission by the Premier League, which alleged more than 100 breaches of financial rules by the club. City was accused of providing misleading information about its finances from 2009-18 and subsequently failing to cooperate with the league’s investigation. City said it was "surprised" by the allegations and claimed there was a "comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence" to counter them.

City won the Premier League for the fifth time in six seasons after the charges were brought. On Friday, The Athletic reported that City was found guilty of all but one of the charges.

Seattle startup gives FOX News firsthand look at AI-powered vehicles built for the Marines

From Ukraine to the Middle East, drones and other unmanned systems are playing an increasingly visible role in modern warfare. Nations are quickly competing to integrate AI tech into everyday military operations to eliminate human risk while improving overall efficiency in the field.

One example of that development is based in Seattle, Washington.

Late June, defense-tech company Overland AI announced it had secured a roughly $20 million dollar production contract with the U.S. Marine Corps for autonomous unmanned ground vehicles, or AUGVs, with delivery expected in early 2027.

AMERICA AND CHINA ARE FIGHTING FOR THE FUTURE OF AI - CHIPS ARE THE BATTLEFIELD

"This is a vote of confidence from the Marines that the technology that we have is ready for the mission," said Greg Okopal, Co-Founder and COO of Overland AI.

The Marine Corps tells FOX the goal is to use the vehicles for missions such as moving ammunition and supplies while reducing risk to Marines.

The award came through APFIT, the Pentagon’s Accelerate the Procurement and Fielding of Innovative Technologies program, using a production Other Transaction Agreement, or OTA. APFIT was started in fiscal year 2022 to help move proven technologies into military use faster. The program is designed to speed up production and shorten the procurement process, essentially helping cut through some of the red tape.

The tech is being developed to support the Marine Air Defense Integrated System, or MADIS, designed initially to focus on autonomous logistics, including ammunition resupply, in contested environments. Okopal says Overland’s work falls under the Marine Corps’ ground-based air defense program, "...which is really sort of a disparate array of vehicle-mounted sensors and effectors that can protect from various UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) and other airborne threats."

But why the investment in ground autonomy?

Overland AI argues while aerial drones and other unmanned systems have become increasingly important on the battlefield, "wars are still won on the ground." Describing the growing role of unmanned or autonomous ground vehicles, Overland AI Chief of Staff Chris Merz pointed to Ukraine, where he says the technology is being used more and more for combat.

"They started with using them for sustainment but increasingly you're seeing them used in combat operations, taking and holding terrain…I really think that is the future application of uncrewed and autonomous ground vehicles and we'll start to see that more in future conflicts."

Unlike remotely operated ground vehicles, Overland's system is designed to navigate and execute missions fully autonomously, without a human continuously steering the vehicle or even controlling it remotely. "Our vehicles, you task them with a mission, you press execute, those vehicles will execute that mission whether you have communications with them or not, whether you're paying attention to them or not, they are fully autonomous," Okopal explained.

Overland says its vehicles can also operate beyond the line of sight and in GPS-denied environments, executing an assigned mission even when communications are unavailable. "All battlefields now are electronic, contested environments, right? So you cannot necessarily rely on distant comms to complete your mission," Okopal explained.

The vehicles are designed to perceive their surroundings and navigate off-road terrain, including obstacles such as ditches, inclines and boulders. Rather than solely directional focused capabilities, the AI technology behind it is more mission focused. For example, an entire fleet of vehicles can be programmed with the mission to establish surveillance and reconnaissance around specific coordinates, manage threat response, etc.

"The very important thing is getting Marines and soldiers for the Army as well out of danger," Okopal explained.

The Marine Corps shared this statement with FOX:

"The U.S. Marine Corps Program Manager Ground-Based Air Defense (PM GBAD) has awarded an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreement to Overland AI to develop and procure Autonomous Unmanned Ground Vehicles (AUGVs). Designed to sustain the Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS) family of systems across contested littoral and distributed operating environments, these AUGVs bridge the 'last tactical mile' logistics gap by automating ammunition resupply and reducing risk to warfighters. While initial efforts focus on autonomous logistics distribution via resilient, AI-driven networks, future capability spirals will integrate modular sensor packages and effectors to extend the active detection, tracking, identification, and defeat of unmanned aerial systems (UAS), rotary-wing aircraft, and low-altitude fixed-wing threats."

'Pioneer Woman' Ree Drummond's son arrested on drug, assault charges

"Pioneer Woman" Ree Drummond's foster son is facing legal trouble after getting arrested in Alabama.

According to an inmate record online, the 57-year-old TV personality's son, Jamar Goff, 23, was arrested on Sept. 15 while at the University of Alabama Birmingham and booked on charges of drug possession and 2nd degree assault on a police officer.

He is also being held on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and for attempting to elude a police officer.

Goff is currently being held at Jefferson County Jail in Birmingham, Alabama on a $35,000 bond.

Fox News Digital has reached out to representatives for Drummond.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, officers responded to a call about a suspicious person on the campus, and later found Goff sleeping shirtless on a bench near a fountain.

When approached by officers, Goff allegedly told them he was on campus because he was waiting for someone who was going to sell him "ice," which TMZ notes the documents say is another way to refer to methamphetamine.

Initially, the officers let Goff go, but after learning he had a warrant out for his arrest, approached him again and tried to handcuff him, which is when he ran away and allegedly hit an officer with an open palm.

The court documents state that officers then went through Goff's backpack, in which they allegedly found a glass pipe. After searching his person, they also allegedly found 1.8 grams of methamphetamine on him.

Drummond revealed she was fostering Goff in November 2020 in her book, "Frontier Follies," in which she shared he had been living with them for about a year-and-a-half, and had become "an inextricable part of our wacky family."

"The state agency that handles fostering has strict rules against posting about foster children on social media, which I get. But mostly, and this is slightly related, I feel protective of Jamar and have always wanted his story to be his own and not fodder for my social media," she wrote about why she kept him off socials prior. "Also, I’ve never wanted to subject Jamar to more attention than he wanted or needed before he had a chance to settle in and get his bearings in our home. We needed to let things breathe!"

In addition to Goff, Drummond and her husband, Ladd, share four biological children; Alex, 29, Paige, 27, Bryce, 24, and Todd, 22.

I don't blame him, by the way. But also, this event ain't exactly the Ryder Cup. Never has been, and never will be. There's just no juice in it.

Kristin Juszczyk takes the $15k fine in stride

We ended yesterday's class with the dumbest story in the NFL ... maybe ever? For those who missed it, Roger Goodell's Fun Police fined 49ers FB Kyle Juszczyk a whopping $14,926 for celebrating a touchdown by giving the universal symbol of taking a drink.

The league took it as Juszczyk "chugging a beer," according to the letter sent to Juszczyk. That violates Rule 12, Section 3, Article 1, which, frankly, sounds like the dumbest rule of all time.

Anyway, the Niners star has been doing that celebration for years, and it has nothing to do with beer. He barely drinks beer. Instead, it's an homage to his nickname — "Juice."

By the way, as OutKick's Armando Salguero noted, Juszczyk scored the tuddy, did his VERY BAD celebration, and then the first commercial that appeared when FOX went to break?

A Michelob Ultra ad.

Amazing.

"Kyle’s got a drinking problem," the caption says, followed by the little nod to the league with the text in the video that reads, "$14,926 glass of juice."

Amazing. It really is a ridiculous fine by the league, and my bar for Goodell is already so low. The NFL has been the No Fun League for decades now. You can't celebrate. You can't taunt. You can't hit the QB. You can't touch the receiver. God forbid you jump on the goal posts after you score a touchdown.

I'm fairly certain that celebration is punishable by death at this point.

But this fine ... for a DRINKING GESTURE ... might just be the leader in the clubhouse. It's that silly. Especially when all the league promotes is drinking and gambling. That's literally every single commercial on NFL Sundays. That's it. Bud Light and Kalshi.

And Jason Kelce hosting a football party, of course. Can't forget that one.

"It was kind of dead out there. I felt like the momentum could have been better, to be honest, because we weren’t really feeling the fans, I think, as much as normal. There was a few shots — I mean, Collin hit a 5-wood on, what was it, 11 to like 10 feet, and we didn’t even know if it was on the green because no one clapped. It was a little surprising."

I don't love Wyndham Clark, but it's tough to argue with him here. I said it on Monday ... I had NO idea the Presidents Cup was this week. None. Zero. It's been the least-hyped golf event of my lifetime.

They played all day yesterday and I didn't see one thing about it on social media. Not one. I know this has always been the little brother to the Ryder Cup, but it's been as bad as I can remember this year.

And now we're going into the weekend and putting it up against college football and the NFL? Good luck.

OK, let's rapid-fire this Friday class into a big weekend. First up? How do we feel about Al's performance last night?

The confusion on the "ATL" chants were wild, from both guys. How were they so bewildered by "ATL" chants ... when the ATLanta Falcons were playing? What do you guys think "ATL" means?! Feel like that one comes with some pretty easy context clues.

For me, the worst one was Al's call on Bijan Robinson's long run in the first quarter. I can look the other way on most of it. He is 81, after all.

But the lack of energy and enthusiasm on that run was a bad look. I get it's the first quarter, but come on. This is your big game of the week. You're in Primetime. All eyes are on you.

It wasn't his best. The good news? It's only Week 3. Come on, Al! Chin up, and let's turn this season around.

I'm not the biggest Gottlieb fan, but I actually agree with a lot of what he says there. The free-for-all that is the transfer portal has gotten laughably out of control in college sports, specifically football and basketball. It's just insane. To me, that's the worst part of this whole NIL era we're suffering through right now.

I can stomach the ridiculous amounts of money being thrown at these 18-year-olds. But seeing a 23-year-old on his 5th team in as many years just ruins the whole experience.

Leftist protester disrupts Climate Week event by ranting against US military

A member of Code Pink, the far-left group known for confronting elected officials, disrupted a Climate Week event in New York City Thursday, blaming the U.S. military for its perceived role in the climate crisis.

The disruption targeted an event hosted by The Nature Conservancy, which the group claims refuses to address the U.S. military’s "massive carbon footprint and massive environmental degradation from U.S. military bases and U.S.-driven wars and occupations."

"There is an elephant in the room that The Nature Conservancy does not want to address," said a man identified by Code Pink only as Aaron, the campaign organizer for the group's War Is Not Green initiative. "It is destroying ecosystems. It is destroying fish. It is destroying the world."

He also pointed to the Pentagon’s $1.5 trillion budget and the U.S. military’s role in environmental destruction, asking why The Nature Conservancy, with a budget of over $2 billion and a mission dedicated to protecting land and water, refuses to address it, the group said.

Code Pink said it was present at NYC Climate Week to insist that any serious climate conversation must include the military-industrial complex, which it argued contributes significantly to global warming.

"You cannot claim to protect the land and waters while ignoring the largest institutional polluter on Earth," Aaron explained after the disruption. "The Nature Conservancy has a $2 billion budget and a global platform. It has a responsibility to name the war machine as a driver of climate destruction. Silence is complicity."
