To figure out which upscale area is the crme de la crme of the entire United States, Business Insider used Property Shark data to compile a list of the priciest ZIP codes. Which led us to wonder: Which are the most expensive homes in these ultra-affluent areas?

The details: Located in the hills above Silicon Valley, this five-bedroom modern home is "a custom built contemporary masterpiece," according to the listing. And, because this is Silicon Valley we're talking about here, the home is fully equipped with the latest smart home system.

The details: Miami's ritziest ZIP code is a barrier island just off the coast.
