Eva Longoria is taking a Cruise -- to the Hollywood Hills, where she's reportedly purchased the $11.4 million compound previously owned by action movie superstar Tom Cruise.
The actress, producer, and activist starred in "The Young and the Restless" for two years before landing her best-known role as "Desperate Housewife" Gabrielle Solis, which won her a Golden Globe and two Screen Actors Guild awards.
The seven-bedroom home sits on 2.75 acres and overlooks Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles, reports Variety -- and the interiors aren't shabby, either. The Italian-style villa features a farmhouse-style kitchen, which is the perfect place for Longoria to do research for a new cookbook (her first book, "Eva's Kitchen: Cooking With Love for Family and Friends," was published in 2011). The wide-plank oak floors and Venetian plaster walls add period elegance to the 1937 home.
With its gated grounds and long driveway located off Mulholland Drive, the compound is perfect for a celebrity who wants to stay away from the public eye. When it was listed in March for $13 million, agent Marisa Zanuck told us, "Someone who wants extreme, extreme privacy is going to buy this house."
It looks like Zanuck was right.
