If former CBS Records CEO and noted wildman Walter Yetnikoff described his Manhattan apartment as having " a real cocaine view," then we wonder how he'd label the views from his sumptuous hillside retreat in Garrison, NY.
We won't speculate, but for $3.7 million, you can scan the horizon like the music exec who partied with (and possibly harder than) Mick Jagger and who none other than Michael Jackson affectionately called "Good Daddy."
He and his wife, Lynda, are selling their four-bedroom, single-level ranch, which Yetnikoff purchased in 1995.
"The 180-degree expansive view is breathtaking and perfectly situated to oversee the beautiful Bear Mountain Bridge, Hudson River, West Point, and Dicks Castle," Lynda tells us in an email, noting that the "the exterior walls are all glass," which "blur" the lines between the indoors and outdoors. And there's a lot of outdoor land to overlook -- 124 acres, all to yourself.
The 4,266-square-foot home was built in 1982 and features a sunken living room and plentiful deck space.
Walter's "favorite parts of the house and property: 'Setting and Simplicity'. The house has a modern Zen feel," Lynda says. Which is great for Walter, as he's slowed down considerably since his drug- and booze-fueled days of the '80s. In fact, he now volunteers at addiction recovery centers.
The retired exec also recently bought a 24th-floor condo in New York City for $2,475,000. There's no word on the views.
