Four years after his retirement, former All-Star outfielder (and current baseball analyst for Comcast SportsNet Bay Area) Randy Winn is selling his five-bedroom home in Blackhawk, CA, for $1.85 million.
The half-acre, tree-lined property abuts the edge of Mount Diablo State Park and features a shady backyard custom-made for entertaining and viewing the surrounding hills.
Inside, an elaborately detailed stairway with a wrought-iron railing leads to a Juliet balcony overlooking the dining and family rooms.
Beyond the living spaces is a French country -- style kitchen with a hardwood floor, a granite-topped island and matching countertops, and white cabinetry. A glass door opens to the great outdoors.
The California-born switch hitter's 13-year career covered five teams, beginning in 1998 with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, whom he represented in the 2002 All-Star Game. Winn is best remembered for his four-and-a-half-year run with the San Francisco Giants, where he batted .290 with 51 home runs and played solid defense in right field.
