The DNC released a new ad on Wednesday featuring a teacher, a police officer, and a firefighter in response to Mitt Romney's comments Friday on cutting government workers.
"He wants to cut taxes for people like himself, while cutting jobs like mine," Michael the firefighter says in the ad.
Responding to President Obama's comment that, "the private sector is doing fine," Governor Romney said Friday, "He says we need more firemen, more policemen, more teachers. Did he not get the message of Wisconsin? The American people did. It's time for us to cut back on government and help the American people."
"You know what we really need less of? Romney Economics," Martha the teacher concludes in the ad.
The RNC released its own ad on Wednesday featuring multiple quotes from President Obama over the past three years touting his commitment to focus on job creation.
"We will not rest until we are succeeding in generating jobs," President Obama is quoted as saying in 2009. "It feels like every couple months I'm reporting that the White House is announcing that they are pivoting to a jobs agenda," an unseen reporter goes on to say in the ad.
President Obama is scheduled to give a major economic speech in the important battleground state of Ohio on Thursday.
The president plans to keep pushing Congress to pass jobs proposals already on the table but does not plan to introduce new proposals in the speech, FOX News' Ed Henry reported Tuesday.
"Tomorrow, Obama will pivot again with another speech, but with no new proposals," text in the RNC ad reads.
Governor Romney is expected to address jobs and the economy at a separate event in Ohio on Thursday.
