The same liberal group behind the infamous "Granny Off a Cliff" ad, which featured a Paul Ryan look-a-like pushing an elderly woman off a cliff, released a new ad Tuesday that blends videos of Donald Trump with footage of Nazi troops.
"We have to ask ourselves: what kind of country do we want to be? One that stands up to hatred and lives up to the principles enshrined in the Constitution and inscribed on the Statue of Liberty or one that rules by fear and subjugation of individuals we deem different," Erik Altieri, president of the Agenda Project, wrote in a statement.
The provocative, minute-long ad, produced by Altieri's group, mashes a video of Trump announcing his proposal to bar Muslims from entering the U.S. with black-and-white footage of marching Wehrmacht infantrymen, while music of the Third Reich plays in the background.
"You're increasingly being compared to Hitler, does that give you any pause at all?" ABC's George Stephanopoulos asks Trump in a soundbite inserted into the ad.
