The House of Representatives has just sworn-in its newest member, Rep. Ted Deutch (D-FL). Deutch succeeds former Rep. Robert Wexler (D-FL) who resgined earlier this year to head a Middle East think tank.
Voters elected Deutch to succeed Wexler in a special election earlier this week.
With Deutch's seating, there are now 431 members in the House. 254 Democrats and 177 Republicans. There are four vacancies. Former Reps. Neil Abercrombie (D-HI), Eric Massa (D-NY) and Nathan Deal (R-GA) resigned. Rep. Jack Murtha (D-PA) died in February.
