The House of Representatives swore in its third new member in a little more than a month Monday night.
Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA) became the newest House member after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) administered the oath of office.
Graves is a conservative Republican who served in the Georgia General Assembly. He succeeds former Rep. Nathan Deal (R-GA) who resigned earlier this year to run for governor.
Graves succeeds Reps. Mark Critz (D-PA), Ted Deutch (D-FL) and Charles Djou (R-HI) who recently won special elections.
There are now 433 House members: 255 Democrats and 178 Republicans. There are two vacancies. Reps. Eric Massa (D-NY) and Mark Souder (R-IN) resigned earlier this spring amid sex scandals.
