Ben Carson lashed out at CNN on Friday morning for closely examining the details of his new book more closely than reporters ever investigated President Obama.
"Is that what was done with the current president?" he asked on CNN's "New Day." "No, it was not, give me a break."
Carson was asked if a passage in the book was true, that he once almost stabbed a "close friend" in anger. At other times, Carson has called it a "stabbing incident." But Carson deflected by asking why the media hasn't pressed Obama as closely.
"What you all did with President Obama doesn't even come close to what you're trying to do in my case," he said. "You're just going to keep going back trying to find what he said 12 years ago, this is just garbage. There are too many important issues."
