The House Ethics Committee continues to meet to discuss the alleged ethical and legal violations of embattled Rep. Charlie Rangel, D-N.Y. An investigative subcommittee brought charges against the veteran lawmaker Thursday, and now his future hangs in the balance.
The New York Congressional Delegation will meet at 8:30 a.m. ET to discuss Rangel’s ongoing ethics problem. Members have already started to return campaign donations from Rangel and have told him to step down if the allegations against him are proven to be true. Will the chorus of voices calling on him to step down grow louder?
On the floor, the House is set for another marathon session. They’ll be trying to wrap up their business for the work period before heading back to their districts for the August recess. They’ll be around late, and we’ll be there to see what gets passed as members rush out to catch flights back home.
We’ll be covering these stories and more from all angles, so be sure to stay with Fox News for all the latest.
