The recent Islamic terror attacks in Minnesota, New York, and New Jersey underscore the obvious danger of President Obama and Hillary Clinton's desire to increase the number of Muslim migrants entering the United States.

In the span of 48 hours, the nation experienced three Islamic terror attacks -- a stabbing in St. Cloud, Minnesota, a pipe bomb explosion in Seaside Park, New Jersey, and an explosion in New York City.

The evidence that first or second generation Muslims constitute a veritable fifth column and pose an existential threat to Western civilization and Western people is overwhelming.

There was at least one more bomb in New York City which did not explode, and up to five more pipe bombs found in Elizabeth, New Jersey, late Sunday night, one of which exploded when a bomb disposal unit attempted to diffuse the device.

The Minnesota attacker, reportedly identified by his father to local press as Dahir Adan, was a 22-year-old Kenyan-born Somali. Afghan-born Ahmad Khan Rahami, thought to be behind the bombings in New York and New Jersey, was apprehended after a shootout with police Monday.

The evidence that first or second generation Muslims constitute a veritable fifth column and pose an existential threat to Western civilization and Western people is overwhelming.

The U.S. has yet again suffered at the hands of militant Islam, and yet again the progressive powers that be would apparently rather stick their heads further into the sand than face the reality of the threat.

Adan and Rahami are just the latest foreign-born Muslims to be involved in terror on U.S. soil. But rather than show concern for protecting the safety of the American people, progressive politicians and law enforcement seem concerned only with protecting their multicultural fantasy.

"We're currently investigating this as a potential act of terrorism, and I do say 'potential,'" FBI agent Richard Thornton, of the agency's Minneapolis office, said at the news conference.

In New York, Mayor Bill de Blasio and Gov. Andrew Cuomo, both Democrats, insisted that no one jump to any obvious conclusions about the motivation for the attack.

"To understand there were any specific motivations, political motivations, any connection to an organization -- that's what we don't know," de Blasio said. "I believe the mayor was saying there was no connection with international terrorism and that is correct," Cuomo echoed.

Addressing the nation Monday morning, President Obama claimed that "at this point we see no connection between [the incident in Minnesota] and what happened in New York and New Jersey."

But to most people, the connection is obvious. Both suspects were radicalized Muslims and both suspects were migrants.

The numbing regularity with which Islamic terrorist attacks in the West is now joined like clockwork by a "move along, nothing to see here folks" response from the multiculturalist elite.

The evidence that first or second generation Muslims from unstable parts of the globe constitute a present danger to Western societies is overwhelming.

A June report released by the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest revealed that of the 580 individuals convicted for terrorism and terrorism-related charges between Sept. 11, 2001 and Dec. 31, 2014, at least 65 percent were foreign-born (the actual percentage is likely higher, as the information provided to the subcommittee is incomplete). Nearly every noteworthy militant Islamic attack upon U.S. soil in recent years has been carried out by either a Muslim migrant or the child of Muslim migrants.

The Tsarnaev brothers who bombed the Boston Marathon were born in Kyrgyzstan and were the sons of a Chechan migrant.

The perpetrators of the San Bernardino attack, Sayed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik, were the children of Pakistani migrants and a Pakistani migrant, respectively. The perpetrator of the Chattanooga shootings was a Kuwaiti-born Palestinian called Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez.

The Fort Hood shooter, Nidal Hassan, was born to Palestinian parents, while Omar Mateen, the Orlando shooter, was born to Afghan parents. Of course, that's to say nothing of the numerous Islamic terror attacks carried out in Europe over the past year by Muslim migrants or their children, some of whom entered Europe disguised as "refugees."

Yet Hillary Clinton gave no indication Monday that she was rethinking her commitment to important massive numbers of potentially dangerous Muslim migrants into the US. "We need tough vetting," she insisted.

But tough vetting is impossible. "The challenge we're all talking about is that, we can only query against that [data] which we have collected," FBI Director James Comey said in October 2015. "If someone has never made a ripple in the pond in Syria in a way that would get their identity or their interest reflected in our database, we can query our database until the cows come home but there would be nothing show up because we have no record on it," he added.

"We are extremely fortunate and grateful that no one was killed," Obama said Monday morning. But Obama's thanksgiving rings resoundingly hollow in the face of his immigration policies, and his continued refusal to face the reality of global, militant Islam.

One can only wonder how many more Westerners need to die before the progressive powers that be abandon the notion that importing tens of thousands of Muslim migrants from war-torn nations is a good idea. If Obama and Clinton truly cared about protecting American lives, they wouldn't allow en masse into the U.S. those who pose such a clear threat to American lives.
