But as one American girl in Paris is proving, you can take this look from ordinary to out of this world. The surprising outfit, created by French couture house Dior, features a fitted gray sweater embellished with the word "L’Etoile" ("star" in French) and a golden star pattern. The piece was complemented with a sheer icy-blue skirt that revealed Lawrence's lean, long legs, as well as that same star pattern seen on her top half. A delicate sparkling choker, silver eye makeup, and an updo with champagne-hued face-framing layers completed the look. And while the sweaterdress was a surprising stand-out at such a grand affair, the getup was no fashion accident. InStyle reports that the 26-year-old "plays a woman who awakens from hibernation 90 years early on a spaceship heading to a colony planet" in "Passengers," which explains the overall celestial theme of her outfit.
