From bold satin and loads of sparkle to blooming florals, many leading ladies wore couture that accentuated their famous figures, all while highlighting one important piece: "One accessory, however, was ubiquitous on labels and gowns alike: a twist of silver ribbon designed by (costume designer) William Ivey Long, worn in solidarity with the victims of Orlando and a visual reminder that as (actor/playwright/Tony-winner) Lin-Manuel Miranda said, 'nothing here is promised, not one day,'" reports the New York Times.
