A Jordanian surgeon who cut off a British patient's testicle by mistake was stripped of his medical license, The Sun reported Wednesday.

Dr. Sulieman Al Hourani, 36, was only meant to take out a cyst but removed the whole testicle instead.

He was found guilty of misconduct by a General Medical Council fitness to practice panel.

The decision was made in his absence after he returned home to Jordan. The 2007 blunder happened at Fairfield General Hospital in Manchester, northern England.

Al Hourani had earlier been found "weaving" down a hallway after injecting himself with a sedative. The panel said he had shown a "lack of insight."
