As of Friday morning, the novel coronavirus has infected more than 139,134,320 people across 192 countries and territories, resulting in at least 2,987,479 deaths. In the U.S., all 50 states plus the District of Columbia have reported confirmed cases of COVID-19, tallying more than 31,495,652 illnesses and at least 565,289 deaths.

7. Georgia: 1,079,979 cases

8. Ohio: 1,048,109 cases

9. New Jersey: 967,442 cases 

10. North Carolina: 941,218 cases

1. California: 60,808 deaths 

2. New York: 51,418 deaths 

3. Texas: 49,441 deaths

4. Florida: 34,238 deaths 

5. Pennsylvania: 25,546 deaths

6. New Jersey: 25,053 deaths

7. Illinois: 23,896 deaths

8. Georgia: 19,662 deaths
