    We've compiled a list of the oddest phobias we could find. It's hard to believe these people are actually scared of these things.

  • Friggartriskaidekaphobia
    Many people believe Friday the 13th to be a day of bad luck. The fear of Friday the 13th is called friggartriskaidekaphobia. The word was coined in 1911 and became mainstream in 1953.  Although there is a movie called "Friday the 13th," the superstition dates back to biblical times. Some believe 13 is an unlucky number because there were 13 people at the Last Supper; and Fridays have been associated with many disasters since the 1800s.

  • Sanguivoriphobia
    From ‘True Blood’ to ‘Twilight’ – vampires are all the rage these days. But the very thought of these bloodsuckers is enough to drive some people over the edge.     Nomophobia is a term first coined by British researchers during 2008 to denote people who experienced anxiety when they had no access to mobile technology—such as their cellphones.   People who are said to suffer with nomophobia report being unable to turn their phones off—ever.  They worry over running out of battery power.  They constantly check for new emails and text messages and calls.  And they don’t even want to go to the restroom without their phones.  Click here for more on this fear.
