The little girl who made headlines last year after being born on a crosswalk celebrated her first birthday Tuesday in New York City, My Fox NY reported.
Polly McCourt stepped out of her home on the Upper East Side of Manhattan to go to the hospital but ended up giving birth outside on a freezing February day.
The Fox 5 News crew happened to be passing by when McCourt was in labor with dozens of good Samaritans helping her deliver her baby girl. One woman, Isabel Williams, gave McCourt her flannel shirt, sweater and coat to cover up after giving birth.
The news channel brought McCourt and her husband, Cian, together with Isabel. The couple named their daughter after Isabel— Ila Isabel.
McCourt and Williams are still in touch, My Fox New York reported, and Williams went to Isa’s baptism.
