Do you hate being jolted awake by your alarm clock in the morning? The creators of the app Sleep Cycle say it can wake you up gently to ensure you have a great start to the day.
When we sleep, the body goes through different phases, ranging from light to deep sleep. The app requires users to place their phone on the bed so that it can measure movements through the accelerometer, and determine which movements correlate with each phase of sleep. Sleep Cycle then detects your sleep patterns and wakes you during your lightest sleep cycle before a pre-designated time.
In addition to this, the app also maps your cycle so you can monitor your sleep and figure out what under which circumstances you have the most restful sleep.
