    Catch Some Rays

Strive to get enough vitamin D in your life. Women should consume at least 1,000 I.U. of the 'sunshine vitamin' every day. This will keep your bones strong. Recent studies have shown that vitamin D may also provide protection from hypertension, cancer and certain autoimmune diseases. So even if you are taking a daily D supplement, step outside during the day for a quick break. Getting as little as 10 minutes of sun a day can help you avoid becoming "D-ficient!"
