Today is National Cheesecake Day but if you don’t have time to whip up a traditional creamy confection, check out YouTuber who goes by the name of Ochikeron who posted this mesmerizing video for a simplified version.
Posted in 2013, the four-minute clip details a recipe for Japanese cotton cheesecake—a light custard cake that uses just three ingredients: eggs, cream cheese and chocolate (both dark or white are acceptable).
This simple video is attracting a lot of attention. Over 2.7 million people have viewed it since May 2013—but according to YouTube stats, its popularity has shot up steadily today. But we think her two-ingredient chocolate cake is just as impressive.
If you really love cheesecake, but a three-ingredient recipe is still too complicated, Cheesecake Factory is offering diners an any slice at half price deal today at all locations. If you post a selfie with your discounted dessert, hashtag it #SayCheesecakeContest for the chance to win $1,000.
