Milwaukee Restaurant Garnishes Their Bloody Mary With Entire Fried Chicken, Cheeseburgers, and More

Most brunch spots tend to garnish their bloody mary with some olives, a celery stick, and maybe a marinated pepperoncini pepper, if you're lucky. But Sobelman's in Milwaukee isn't like most brunch spots. READ: 10 Bloody Mary Recipes Inspired By Global Cities Instead of sticking to foods that could even be remotely described as garnishes, the people at Sobelman's Bar and Grill have topped their new 80-ounce bloody mary with a whole fried chicken. And that's in addition to the "standard Sobelman's garnish" of celery, pickles, olives, onions, cheese, sausage, mushroom, asparagus, shrimp, lemon, and brussels sprout. They've also thrown in four of their famous Baconadoes (skewers of bacon-wrapped japeno cheese balls) for good measure. They're calling it the Chicken Fried Bloody Beast, and charging $50 to anyone hungry enough (or thirsty enough, or filled with enough self-loathing) to try it. A few years back, they famously introduced their Bloody Masterpiece, garnished with a skewered bacon cheeseburger or bratwurst. And on New Year's Day in 2014, they debuted the Surf and Turf Bloody, which featured filet mignon, lobster and bacon. (All pictured below.) It's a safe bet that Sobelman's will be offering more crazy cocktails in the near future, especially considering the popularity of their latest mixed drink. In fact, a closer look at Sobelman's menu reveals that they also serve corn dogs and "pizza sticks," which sound perfectly suited for garnishes, yet have inexplicably failed to find their way into a Sobelman's cocktail jar.
