Wesley Snipes Oh, Wes. In 2006, the "Blade" actor was charged with one count of conspiring to defraud the United States government. The IRS charges that Snipes had previously used accountants who had a history of filing false returns. He was acquitted of the fraud charged, but was found guilty of failing to file federal income tax returns. Despite attempts to appeal, he was ultimately sentenced to prison. After a lengthy battle with the federal government, Snipes reported to prison in 2010 to begin his three-year sentence. He is expected to be released in July of 2013.![martin]()
