Slipknot drummer Shawn 'Clown' Crahan's daughter posted sobriety chip on Instagram days before her death

Slipknot drummer Shawn Crahan's family has slammed claims that Gabrielle took her own life or overdosed.

Alexandria, Gabrielle's older sister, expressed her outrage over the accusations and told people to "leave her family alone" if they were going to speculate.

Gabrielle posted a picture of a five-month sobriety token handed out at Alcoholics Anonymous with the caption: "FIVE MONTHS" just days before she was found dead.

Discouraging speculation on her sudden loss, Alexandria wrote: "She died yesterday. Stop speculating stop with the assumptions if you're going to be negative, leave my family alone."

After posting a childhood photo, Alexandria added: "22 is too young to die. I am in shock and have no idea how to process the wave of emotions I am experiencing,' she wrote. The comforts I have in these moments are my family, friends, and cats. Please put good energy out for my parents and my brothers."

The founding member of the heavy metal band said he was suffering with the “deepest pain” after Gabrielle passed away on Saturday.

“It is with a broken heart, and from a place of the deepest pain, that I have to inform all of you that my youngest daughter, Gabrielle, passed away yesterday,” he wrote on the group’s Twitter account.

He added: "My family and I ask that our privacy be respected moving forward."

Gabrielle is Crahan's youngest daughter with his wife Chantel.

Her cause of death has not yet been revealed, but "funeral arrangements will be forthcoming," the statement added.

Crahan, 49, shared the tragic news days after the band revealed details of its upcoming album and performed on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"

Slipknot’s lead singer Corey Taylor offered his condolences.

"My heart has broken for my brother," he tweeted. "Please keep the Crahan family in your thoughts and love. She will be missed."

In September, Crahan paid tribute to his daughter on her birthday by sharing a throwback picture of a young Gabrielle. He wrote: "We love you Gabri."
