Selena Gomez's Instagram followers have suffered for more than a week without any selfies or SelenaGrams at all (save for an inspirational quote atop an Oprah Winfrey screenshot), but for their patience, they were rewarded with the above bikini photo on Tuesday evening.

"Taking my power back.. can't wait to show you where I've been. I love y'all. Ps, I still obsess over pickles," read Selena's cryptic caption.

Hollywood Life seems to believe that Selena's words are directed at Justin Bieber, assuring him that she's fine without him, and that she's taking back any "power" he held over her — although that might be a stretch. The gossip site also reported that Selena has some new music coming, so she may have merely been hinting at what she's going to soon "show" to her fans.

And, of course, she had to confirm her stance on pickles.

In either case, Tuesday's snapshot is the first we've seen of Selena since her May 12 appearance at the American Ballet Theatre's opening night gala in a strapless black and white dress …

… and before that, the Metropolitian Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala on May 5 …

… so it's refreshing to see that she hasn't dropped off the face of the earth.

Keep Instagramming, Selena!
