Comedian Sarah Silverman says 'patriotism is perverted'

Sarah Silverman is no stranger to sharing her political thoughts on social media. However, in response to President Trump’s latest tweet about Sen. Amy Klobuchar and global warming, she turned things up a notch.
As previously reported, Klobuchar, a Democrat, announced her intent to run for president on Sunday in Minneapolis, in the midst of a hearty Midwestern snowstorm. Trump made hay out of the situation with a tweet questioning how real global warming can be, given the harsh cold in which she was standing.

“Well, it happened again. Amy Klobuchar announced that she is running for President, talking proudly of fighting global warming while standing in a virtual blizzard of snow, ice and freezing temperatures. Bad timing. By the end of her speech she looked like a Snowman(woman)!” Trump tweeted Sunday.
Silverman responded to the tweet with an expletive-filled tirade directed at the president, opting less for rebutting his statements and more for insulting his character.
“No point in explaining how mind blowingly stupid this tweet is so I’m just gonna go with F--- YOU, and also add that you are a smelly penis hole with balls that touch water. Eat s---, you greedy t---,” the “I Love You America” star wrote.

She followed the tweet up soon after with a response to a video from Vox reporter Aaron Rupar, along with a video clip of Trump speaking at a recent rally. She took the opportunity to drag Donald Trump Jr. into the fray, as well.
“Every single thing he says is an insanity-level lie,” she wrote. “Don Jr. calling teachers losers is straight heartbreaking. SMH right off,” she wrote.

Silverman is never shy about speaking her mind on social media. Last week the comedian took to Instagram to share an uncomfortable experience she had with a radiologist who was conducting an ultrasound on her breasts. She took issue with what she said was his flippant attitude toward the intimate exam as well as the fact that she alleges he did not wear gloves.
