PICS: Prince George and Princess Charlotte Land in Canada, Future King Isn't Too Impressed
The future King of England isn’t easily impressed. PHOTOS: Prince George Steals the Spotlight at Trooping the Colour Parade When Prince George had to wear a traditional gown made of lace and satin for his baptism back in 2013, he didn’t exactly look too thrilled. (After all, the outfit was designed to look like a replica of a dress worn by Queen Victoria’s daughter in 1841, so chances are it wasn’t the most comfortable garment to wear.) A year later while attending a royal playdate, he chose to skip sharing, and instead he "confidently helped himself to other children’s toys." There was also that famous trip to Australia where he earned the nicknamed "grumpy Prince George." And this year, he chose to greet US President Barack Obama in his robe,of all outfits. Now? He’s giving Canada some major side-eye. As reported in The Guardian, the three-year-old joined his parents and 1-year-old sister Princess Charlotte on a royal visit to Canada over the weekend, and George wasn’t afraid to show Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau how he really feels. Please enjoy watching Prince George turn down Justin Trudeau's high five pic.twitter.com/YJeAdPUmDS — BuzzFeed Canada (@BuzzFeedCanada) September 25, 2016 "Landing in Canada on Saturday on a week-long official visit with his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the prince simply shook his head when Trudeau squatted down to the toddler’s level to offer a high-five variation, the low-five," says the news publication. "Trudeau then switched his palm for a high-five and subsequently offered a handshake, both of which were seemingly rebuffed, creating an awkward moment at the airport in the western province," adds The Guardian. "Canadians felt the princely snub acutely, accustomed as they are to seeing their young premier win over millions of fans around the world and attain social media star status.” PHOTOS: Prince George's Cutest Moments Perhaps Trudeau should have showed up bearing gifts in the form of Nanaimo bars? (Just sayin’.) See the snaps from the royal family’s first few days in Canada below:
