PHOTOS: Prince George Steals the Spotlight at Trooping the Colour Parade

It may have been a birthday celebration for the Queen, but it’s the future king who stole the show. On Saturday, June 13th, Kensington Palace announced via Twitter that Prince George made his first appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace wearing the same outfit that his father, Prince William, once wore at Queen Elizabeth’s birthday parade in 1984. PHOTOS: Royal Family Releases New Photos of Prince George and Princess Charlotte While his great-grandmother’s birthday is actually on April 21st, this month's “Trooping the Colour” parade is a traditional event for the people. “The Queen turned 89 on April 21, her actual birth date, which is traditionally marked in private, with a public celebration held in June, when London’s fickle weather is more likely to be favorable,” reports the New York Daily News. The parade was also Kate Middleton’s first appearance in public since leaving the hospital with newborn Princess Charlotte just six weeks ago. But don't worry, we expect more pics of the new princess after her christening on July 5th. In the meantime, enjoy George’s adorableness for yourself below:
