Margaret Cho is gearing up for her busiest year yet Video

Comedian Margaret Cho raised eyebrows this week when she declared “I don’t necessarily want to have a retard baby.”

The comedian made the bold statements on an appearance on Bravo TV’s “Watch What Happens Live” talk show with host Andy Cohen. The clip was later posted on Breitbart.com.

While discussing her new comedy tour called “Mother,” which dedicated to her own mother and her desires to be a mother herself, she mentioned her fears over getting pregnant at the age of 43.

“My period comes like twice a month. My eggs are jumping ship,” she said. “Seriously, they’re like, ‘the last one out’s a retard.”

“I get worried about that, as an older woman, I don’t necessarily want to have a retard,” she said.

Cohen told her, “you can’t say that,” while shaking his head.

“You want your kid to have the best chance at life,” she added. “I’m trying [to get pregnant]. It’s hard for a lesbian.”
