“I work out five days a week: three days with a trainer, doing a mix of strength training and cardio, and then I do cardio on my own the other two days,” says the 34-year-old fashion mogul to InStyle. “Somehow I make it work, but I’ve slowed down since my wedding.”
According to the fashion magazine, Simpson gained 70 pounds from her first pregnancy, sparking unwanted media attention. Despite the scrutiny, Simpson had support from one important person in her life.
“My husband [Eric Johnson] and I were looking at old pictures recently, and I asked him, ‘Babe, why didn’t you tell me to put the brownie down?’ He said, ‘You look great.’ He’s always loved every curve on my body,” says Simpson.
“And we’ve always had a healthy sex life,” she adds.

After giving birth to daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson in 2012 and then baby boy Ace Knute Johnson in 2013, Simpson was determined to get in shape for another major event: her (then) upcoming nuptials.
“I worked really hard because I wanted to appreciate being in a wedding gown again,” says Simpson. “I wanted to enjoy it like I did the first time. But I didn’t have a weight goal; I just wanted to look healthy.”
Simpson married the 34-year-old former NFL player in 2014.
