It's official! Beloved daytime soaps All My Children and One Life to Live will be revived online by Prospect Park, the production company confirmed Monday. The series will be the anchor programs on the soon-to-be-launched The Online Network.

"We thank the loyal audience and new generation of fans of both shows who have demonstrated that passion and exciting story lines are not just reserved for traditional television," the company said in a statement. "Their enduring support encouraged us to move forward each and every day."

Agnes Nixon, the creator of both shows, will have an "active involvement" in the web versions, according to Prospect Park. Also returning are OLTL director Jennifer Pepperman as executive producer and AMC producer Ginger Smith as executive producer. Deals with SAG-AFTRA and the DGA have already been struck. Production on both shows will begin in February, though premiere dates have not been announced.

The news comes a month after word leaked that Prospect Park was close to resurrecting the soaps again. The company first made a licensing deal with ABC in 2011 with an eye toward a 2012 re-launch, but stopped work on the project in November 2011, citing financial and logistical issues.
