Orange cars are hot

It's still way behind black and white, but orange is a fast-growing car color, and automakers are getting on board. If you don't want to get lost in the crowd, or a snow drift, you might want to get behind the wheel of one of these.

    Subaru XV Crosstrek

Tangerine is the Subaru XV Crosstrek's signature color, but considering some of the places where these things live, Safety Orange may have been a more appropriate name.

    BMW i3

The electric BMW i3 isn't powered by the sun, but it's Solar Orange paint adds to the car's techy, futuristic style, just like it did for those Apple iBooks back at the turn of the century.

    Ford Mustang

For the few people who think that the new Mustang isn't enough of a head-turner, Ford offers it in Competition Orange, which should be able to win their attention.

    Dodge Dart

Believe it or not, the compact Dart has little flying buttresses on its rear roof pillars that were inspired by ones on the 1969 Dodge Charger, best known for its role as the Dukes of Hazard's General Lee. You'll have to get your own Confederate Flag and 01 decals, yourself, but it can be ordered from the factory in Vitamin C orange paint.

    Chevrolet Corvette

If you're a true fan, Daytona Sunrise may be the perfect way to celebrate the Chevrolet Corvette's class win at the 2015 24 Hours of Daytona, but would still look pretty good even if it had lost.

    Jagaur F-Type

There was a time when it would've been unthinkable to buy a Jaguar sports car that wasn't painted British Racing Green, but the new F-Type has put that tradition to rest. And even though its now available with snow-friendly all-wheel-drive, the name of its Firesand orange paint serves as a constant reminder that things will eventually warm up.
