    Inspired by the DeltaWing racing car that Nissan fielded in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2012 and the ZEOD RC hybrid it will campaign in the race next year, the lightweight BladeGlider features a unique deltoid shape with two narrow tires tucked into the nose for low aerodynamic drag giving way to a wider rear end draped in downforce-producing carbon fiber bodywork.

The BladeGlider will make its debut as a concept at the Tokyo Motor Show this month, but Nissan says it is an "exploratory prototype of an upcoming production vehicle" and fully intends to put something like it in showrooms in the near future.
