    The two very divergent forms melded rather successfully into the final form of the Atlas. Even the windshield of the bullet train sketch, which wrapped over the top of the cabin, was preserved, but with a solid cargo cradle splitting it down the middle for added functionality.

    Interestingly, Ford has been exploring this locomotive-inspired design theme as far back as 2006, when it introduced the F-250 Super Chief Concept, which was a homage to the American passenger trains of the same name from the middle of the 20th Century.
