Hennessey Performance HPE800 McLaren MP4-12C Only in Texas can a 593 hp Formula One-bred supercar be considered "mild." That's what Lone Star State-based Hennessey Performance calls the McLaren MP4-12C, which it plans to make "wild" with engine updates that it says will boost the twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8's output to 800 hp. Along with a new intercooler, air intake system, titaniam exhaust and an number of other engine modifications, the kit will include new carbon fiber bodywork and a custom interior. New wheels and tires round out the yet to be priced package, but Hennessey is leaving the brakes and tires alone. Apparently some things cannot be improved upon. Ferrari F2012 The Ferrari FF grand tourer has all-wheel-drive and has often been seen driving around in the snow, so it was perhaps fortuitous the the Italian automaker's hometown of Maranello got hit by a storm the day it introduced its challenger for the 2012 Formula One season. Unlike the bodies of the company's beautiful road cars, like the 458 Italia, the racer's ungainly "stepped nose" design is all about form over function, and even Ferrari admits it is not aesthetically pleasing. But if it works, those 1st Place Grand Prix trophies should be.read moreFerrariShare

Fiat 500L The retro-modern Fiat 500 subcompact has been slow to catch on in the United States, but the brand is already looking to expand...literally. Fiat has announced plans to introduce the larger 500 L at the Geneva Auto Show in March and put it on sale in the U.S. in 2013. The four-door hatchback is only about two feet longer than its stablemate, but in Europe, at least, will be available with three rows of seating. But while U.S.-bound 500s are built in Mexico, the 500 L will be imported from Serbia, where it is set to be produced at the same factory that was the home to the Yugo - itself based on a Fiat design. Here's hoping things work out better this time around. Full review: 2012 Fiat 500Cread moreFiatShare
