Rape victim said to ID brothers in Italy beach town attack

Italian media say a transgender rape victim has identified as being among her attackers two Moroccan teenagers who also are suspected of raping a Polish tourist.

Italian state television and the ANSA news agency say the Peruvian woman identified the pair, who are brothers, on Saturday at the police station in the Adriatic resort town of Rimini.

She reported being assaulted and raped along a road there shortly after a gang of four allegedly raped a Polish tourist on a Rimini beach.

The news outlets say the brothers turned themselves into police in a nearby town in connection with both women's rapes. Italian broadcaster Sky TG24 says the suspects are 15 and 17 years old.

The Polish woman's companion was knocked unconscious. Poland is investigating the crimes against its citizens.
