Media reports blast in mainly Kurdish city in Turkey

Turkish media reports say a large explosion has occurred in Turkey's mainly Kurdish city of Diyarbakir.

The private DHA news agency says ambulances and police have been sent Tuesday to the scene of the explosion in the city's Baglar district.

The cause of the explosion was not known.

Turkey has suffered from a string of bomb attacks carried out by Kurdish rebels or Islamic State militants.
