Authorities in Puerto Rico say 72 people have been indicted on charges of operating a multimillion-dollar drug-trafficking ring.

U.S. Attorney Rosa Emilia Rodriguez said Monday that the suspects are accused of conspiring to distribute heroin, cocaine, marijuana and cocaine base. She said they are accused of operating out of a public housing complex in the capital of San Juan.

Authorities said the group generated $27 million in sales and has been linked to at least 15 killings.
