PRISTINA, Kosovo – Supporters of Kosovo's main opposition political party have sprayed paint on the interior minister's car to protest against government orders not to allow its activist from neighboring Albania to enter the country.
The party on Friday acknowledged that in a "symbolic act," activists of the Self-Determination Movement sprayed paint on Skender Hyseni's car in the capital Pristina.
The government denounced the act that "damages Kosovo's Euro-integrating processes."
Previously, the opposition has used tear gas canisters to disrupt parliament's work and their supporters' street rallies routinely turned into violent clashes with police. They reject a deal between Kosovo and Serbia giving more powers to ethnic Serbs in Kosovo and another one on a border demarcation pact with Montenegro.
Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in 2008, an act that Serbia still rejects.
