GAUHATI, India – The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have visited a famed Bhutanese monastery on their weeklong tour of South Asia.
Prince William and his wife, Catherine, trekked through blue pine forests and among rhododendron bushes on Friday to reach Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger's Nest, which clings to the side of a cliff. It normally takes locals more than two hours to make the steep climb, but the royal couple were a bit faster.
Halfway up, the prince told reporters the view was "absolutely stunning."
The British royals are in Bhutan for two days, and also are visiting several cities in India.
