Costa Rican media are reporting that two commuter trains collided head-on in the capital of San Jose.

La Nacion newspaper says the Red Cross reports at least 50 people injured. Teletica news says at least seven are in delicate condition.

Video posted online by Teletica shows emergency workers attending to injured passengers. Some have blood on their heads and hands. One woman's head is bandaged.

The collision happened Friday morning a few kilometers (miles) west of downtown San Jose.
