DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – Officials speaking on behalf of Dubai's ruler have announced a new endowment center in his name.
They announced the creation of the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Center for Endowment Consultancy on Tuesday in Dubai. They say it will focus on issues like autism and education, though they did not offer specific details on funding for the center.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the announcement, but did not speak at the event.
Sheikh Mohammed also serves as vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, a federation of seven emirates on the Arabian Peninsula.
