Afghan official says suicide car bomb attack kills 1 near main airport in Kabul

KABUL, Afghanistan – An Afghan official says at least one person was killed in a suicide car bomb attack near the Kabul airport, but there were no other immediate details.

Sediq Sediqqi, a spokesman for the Afghan Interior Minister, said Monday that four others were hurt in the early-morning attack that took place near the airport.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Taliban have increased their attacks recently across the country against the Afghan Security forces.
