A Polish diplomat in Bulgaria says a plane taking tourists from Poland to Egypt has landed in Bulgaria and is being checked for explosives. A passenger said a man on the flight announced there was a bomb on board.

Vice-consul Jakub Flasinski said on TVN24 on Thursday the plane is being checked by security officers at the airport in Burgos. He said he was assured by authorities that the situation is "under full control."

Passenger Agata Pinuszewska told TVN24 by phone that early in the flight from Warsaw to the holiday resort of Hurghada a man announced there was a bomb on the plane. The crew landed in Burgos. TVN24 showed cell phone video of passengers leaving the plane.

Pinuszewska said the man was being questioned at the airport.
