Suicide bombers kill 10 in northeastern Nigeria

Nigeria's army says suicide bombers killed at least 10 people in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state which is among the hardest hit by an uprising by Islamic extremists.

No group has claimed responsibility for the Thursday night attack but Nigerian security forces blamed Boko Haram, an Islamic extremist group.

Military Spokesman Col. Usman said four suicide bombers killed ten people and wounded 39 others in the Sareji neighborhood.

Violence from Boko Haram's six-year insurgency has left nearly 20,000 people dead and 1.4 million displaced from their homes.
