Seismologists in Greece have reported a 5.0-magnitude earthquake near islands in the eastern Aegean Sea, but authorities say there were no immediate reports of any injury or serious damage.
The Geodynamic Institute of Athens said the quake occurred at 12:58 p.m. (0958 GMT) on Friday near the holiday island of Kos.
Earthquakes are common in Greece and neighboring Turkey.
