Israel's military says militants in the Gaza Strip have fired a rocket at the south of the country but that it caused no injuries.
Sirens wailed in some areas warning of the attack late Thursday night.
Rocket fire has mostly subsided since last summer's war between Gaza's militant Hamas rulers and Israel, but there have been sporadic attacks, which increased in frequency over the past few weeks.
Israel holds Hamas responsible for all attacks from the coastal territory.
Recent attacks have been claimed by Gaza militants who support the Islamic State group fighting in Iraq and Syria. Those militants are in a rivalry with Hamas and they say their rockets are in retaliation for a Hamas crackdown on their members.
